Chapter 21 - Chapter 3: Verse V

VERSE V

Her echoes shook the space. Her short gasps between her cries seeked to swallow her whole.

She sees it but could not believe it.

The human she once was, was gone.

Her new pair of arms was a testament to that actuality.

Her perception was shattered, and she knew not the path she walked anymore.

She stepped into blasphemy for her brother, she wished to protect him and give him a good life, even if it would jeopardize hers.

But,

The memories she possesses, what she had read by the power of Hecate— what she had seen before her fall.

It contradicted everything she knew.

She thought her brother was innocent, she had always noticed the profound statements against celestial beings that escaped his lips.

Yet, she had turned it away, merely coming to a conclusion that he was a genius and maybe a future philosopher.

But that was not the truth, and she does not know— whether more truths lie beneath what she had seen.

Twenty years in the realm of the spirits, that is what she saw.

Yet this was a given memory, as she could not even trust the surity of this age any longer.

What is his relation with the silver haired,Yonikaharu was it?.

She had seen Yonikaharu as his master, yet somehow her brother cared not for any of them nor feared them.

The same child that had struck her in the valley, the same child that destroyed her brother's core.

" Why?!". She begged. She begged to the putrid air in the atmosphere, as darkness drew near.

She could no longer think straight anymore nor try to decipher her brother's relationship with the gods and his memories.

She stopped it.

She could not bring herself to a truth about her brother.

She had used the power of Hecate to peer into his mind, then so have the gods.

Hecate is now aware of her brother's past, that is , if she wasn't before.

She wiped the vomit of her forehead. She used her bare stomach to wipe her filthy hands.

Staggering a little, she beckoned on her new pair of arms.

With it's support, she slwoly stood. The tiny pebble beneath her feet bit her, the hot rocks piercing through her flesh.

Each step, stance and still movement, a pain.

The devastating bubbles from the molten rocks gave sound, breaking the eerie silence.

Yet it was the only sound.

She knew not, what scriptures she had read were real.

Everything she had believed in was forged, even Uncle Li.

How did Kato kill him?. She never saw in the memories she read that Kato killed Uncle Li, it was only said to him by a being she could not fathom.

The being had spoken to Kato about his misdeeds, which included the slaughter of his uncle— of whom was replaced with a doppleganger.

How he did it,she knew not.

Each step birthed agony through her. Slowly walking, slowly moving.

Where was she going?. She knew not.

The only things she could trust from the scriptures were the realms that were specified.

She had no doubt that this was real. The exact descriptions of the Nether realm was before her eyes, and the stench pierced her throat.

She suffered to breathe and her vision was tense too.

Each step she took, she coughed. The air gripping her tightly as she choked.

She felt her skin burning, as her mouth began to foam.

Soon, she could walk no longer. Her body was drying up, her skin went ablaze.

She could only croak, as she could scream no longer.

The Nether!. She had not realized it but this was the Nether.

It's no place for a living being.

Her tears dried up, as her face burned.

Her hands dug into the rocks, as she dragged herself forward.

Gnashing her teeth, as she writhe in torment.

Her vision was destroyed, as she felt her eye burning.

Her ears popped and exploded, which caused her to hit her head upok the rocks, cracking her skull.

She dragged on no more, her insides began to boil.

What was this? What is this?. She cannot take this. Let her just die.

She wished to suffer no more, her torment was to severe.

She is sorry if she had sinned. She could only think of redemption. Nothing else, it was unbearable.

She could not keep enduring.

Her throat burst, and was instantly fried. She shook to her bones, her hair burnt off her scalp.

Then she could feel pain no more,.no the temperature, no the Burns and touch of the flames that ravaged her.

Her muscles and tendons contracted, and we're burnt off.

Her bones , visible in their sight.

Lost in her own thoughts, she began to reminisce the moments she had and loved.

Back when everything was normal, when her brother and uncle plays gleefully.

Back, when she was in her home, eating beef stew and helping out with washing Uncle Li's clothing and drawing her brother's tattoo.

He was a doppleganger, yes, but a good one.

At least, he is the Uncle Li she knows.

Back when life was good
