Meanwhile, Ron, who sat next to Sarah, couldn't help but feel anxious.
He had already expected some trouble when Oliver asked to invite his mom, Maya, and now that they were giving each other a cold shoulder, he could see it was going to get worse very soon.
However, when he noticed Oliver holding Emma by her hand and sitting with the latter on his lap, he couldn't help but gulp and shift his gaze towards Maya.
'Fuck! What is she going to do?'
On the other hand, Brenda noticed her mother, Linda's, worried expression. She couldn't help but roll her eyes and shake her head. 'Who told you to act like a jealous woman? Now look at you!'
Everyone was lost in their own thoughts and anticipation of what might happen.
However, Oliver, who had Emma on his lap, didn't mind any of these things, enjoying the soft butt squirming and shifting on his lap instead.
Soon, Maya couldn't take it anymore as she glared at Oliver and spoke harshly, "What is this!? You bring me here and ignore me like this!? Am I nothing to you!?"
Linda, who was next to Maya, also gave a displeased look. "Look how people change when they have more women around... Now they are acting like we don't matter."
Rebecca didn't really understand what was going on, but the whole room got quiet after Maya and Linda spoke up.
Everyone, including her, could only look at Oliver, wondering how he would react.
Oliver took a sip of water before he put the glass down and spoke with a casual tone as he looked at Maya, "Hmmm, I've changed? Maybe... but it doesn't mean that someone who already has a lover should start going for drinks and parties every night, right?"
Then he turned towards Linda and added with a similar tone, "Same goes for a woman who's trying to make it seem like I betrayed her or something just because I didn't pay too much attention to her."
With that said, Oliver wrapped his arm around Emma and made the latter snuggle closer to him. "You see, I like women who aren't jealous and who can handle themselves without getting all worked up over something that they know nothing about."
"So, tell me, my lovely teacher, will you turn out to be one of those kinds of women, or will you just end up being another annoying drama queen?" He added in a playful manner, though it was quite clear from his voice that he was being serious.
Emma smiled as she tilted her head towards him, her lips brushing against his neck. "Of course, I am not one of those stupid women who get mad for petty reasons... as long as you let me in your arms like this or keep giving me money, you can ignore me and still play with me however you like..."
Oliver chuckled upon hearing Emma's words as he raised his hand to brush her hair aside, then proceeded to lick her ears before whispering, "Yes, I can see you are the perfect kind of woman to have around... unlike others who make it seem like I'm a villain."
Maya and Linda were both flabbergasted as they heard Oliver speak in such a dismissive way towards them.
After the last time she saw him, Maya had expected him to apologize and try to please her again, but the opposite happened instead.
And she had no idea what to do or say at the moment.
It was clear that Linda was in a similar situation too, since Oliver wasn't showing her any attention anymore and just focusing on the beautiful teacher.
Linda's and Maya's faces had gone pale as they looked at each other helplessly, hoping that the other would be able to do something.
But alas! Both of them were too stunned to do anything other than remain silent.
Eventually, their eyes were moistened and their jaws quivered as they held in their tears.
And of course, that didn't escape Oliver's sight.
Seeing the two beautiful women on the verge of crying, he let out a sigh and loosened his arm that was holding Emma.
Then he stood up from his chair and approached the two women with confident steps.
He stood right in front of them and placed his hand on Maya's cheek, gently caressing it.
As soon as Oliver's hand touched her cheek, Maya couldn't help but close her eyes and feel the warmth and tenderness of Oliver's palm against her skin.
And the same happened to Linda, whose breath hitched when she felt Oliver's other hand cupping her chin, tilting her head up so she could look at him properly.
"You two... why are you trying so hard to make me mad? Isn't it obvious that I didn't ignore you intentionally? Yet you acted like that... Honestly, if you two had given me a hug when I came and asked for an apology, then I wouldn't have said those things... But you just had to make it difficult. Look, now you both are about to cry... Seriously!"
With that said, Oliver pulled the two women closer to him as he put his arm around their shoulders, one on each side.
"Instead of making it hard for me and yourselves, just be open and honest with your feelings... That's much simpler, don't you think?"
Maya and Linda felt their cheeks burn up upon listening to Oliver.
They knew he had a point, since it was their fault that things ended up this way.
They should've just welcomed him as if nothing happened, but they got angry first and put on a cold attitude... which caused him to retaliate in turn.
"I- I'm... sorry." Maya uttered meekly as she looked away, still embarrassed of what she had done.
Linda felt similarly, but she forced herself to look at Oliver. "Me too, Oliver. We were wrong... and we're sorry."
"Hmmm..." Oliver grinned widely, pulling the two women even closer towards him, causing their breasts to press against his torso. "See? This is much better."
Then he kissed Maya's and Linda's cheeks, respectively, before whispering with a soft voice, "And of course, I am sorry for the things I said and for ghosting you two. But it wasn't intentional, alright? It just happened... Now let's move on from this, shall we? Tonight's still going to be a fun one!"
"Yes..." Both of them responded together as they hugged Oliver tightly, then each of them kissed his cheeks before saying in a loving tone, "Thank you."
