In another universe, there co-existed nine realms that once were at war with the dark forces. Although after gruesome two year war, the dark forces were subdued and made a peace pact with the rest of the realm. With the hero and villains in there places with a happy ending for our two love protagonists. As the years went by the two had began to thinking about forming a family. A bump in the road for the couple and a surprising events changed the course of a certain someone's future.
During the spring of the fifth year of the new emperor's reign the realms experienced a phenomenal auspicious happening. Life was blooming rapidly across the different realms, an indication of birth of the new ruler of the flower realm. Although the position was already handed down to the current ruler from the daughter of the floral goddess born naturally from the old goddess. And everyone knew that goddess Yun Hua has not conceived her first child yet. Hence the realms' ruler has all but head to the floral realm to see what has occurred.
The first to arrived at the scene was the current floral goddess, a sudden bright light had beamed upwards at the memorial burial of the late floral goddess. As bright as the light was the life forces sucked into the beam was even greater as the floral across the realms had willingly given up their life forces to assist in the new birth of the floral goddess. Arriving after the floral goddess was Yun Hua who holding hope about her mother's return after all these years. Following after was the heavenly emperor, then the rest of the realm respectfully of the dark ruler and his empress, the four seas rulers, the ancient lord of the old gods and goddesses and lastly the lord of the mortal world.
The floral goddess had set up residences for all the rulers as the beam did not seem to stop anytime soon. For the next ten days and night the beam did not dim nor did it stop absorbing the life forces of florals.
"Floral goddess do you think it's my mother returning?"
"I do not know but if it is. How wonderful would it be to be reunited with your mother again. I could resign and return to my hobbies again! Oh! Ha ha ha, I mean I do hope it is your mother."Yun Hua smiled knowing that the current goddess had only took the mantle of floral goddess as she had the most seniority of the leaders in the floral realm.
After the tenth night, the beam, florals and majestic creatures had started to slow and dim down. The beam had disappeared after a blinding flash. All the anticipating lords and emperor of the dark realm had gone to see the new birth of the goddess. Although the lord of the mortal and lords of the old had long left as they could careless for the new goddess's birth. The Heavenly Emperor had return once he had received the commencing birth of the new goddess, as long as the birth was not compromised the emperor had no longer a reason to stay. The rest of the issues are to be handled by the current ruler of the floral realm. As the lords had congratulated the floral goddess of the new birth the rest of the lord knew the importance of placement of the new goddess into the water mirror to avoid unsavory situations. The rulers left one by one after leaving their prepared gifts and auspicious well meaning thoughts.
As the leaders and floral goddess moved the newly born humongous cherry blossom bud into the water mirror for protection.
"Yun Yi, I don't believe it's your mother returning to us but another person. No matter whether a god or goddess goes through death or oblivion their innate nature would never change just like War God Mo Yan and your husband's innate nature. We'll have to tend to the bud and wait to see."
After discussing some more Yun Hua and Floral goddess had left the bud alone in the deepest region of the water mirror that that was overfilled with natural flowing magic. While the water mirror masked and protected the newly birth goddess, the outside was basking in the positive effects of the new goddess.
Through the eight realms of the gods and goddesses bloomed florals and vegetation vibrantly and aggressively. All but the Heavenly realm which had the passed floral goddess forbid of floral blooms as it was a deep long grudge which would not be lifted until after another five hundred years. For the next five years of the eight majestic realms and hundred years of the mortal realm the florals and vegetation continued to thrive and bloom never knowing deep winter or scorching heat.
"Yun Hua, you have been staying here since the beginning of this year, is Ru Yun fine being away from you for so long?"
"If he can't bear this then he might as well be my shadow following me everywhere! That bastard, it hasn't even been that long since I was pregnant and now I am with child again after the first two. I'm fine without him and he can focus on the children while I recuperate in the water mirror."
Both Yun Hua and the Floral goddess had began their inspection of the cherry bud. Before they got near a mesmerizing scent clouded the area of where the bud was. The indication of what they both were waiting for, rushing as fast as Yun Hua could with her eight month belly. As they arrived the bud was on it's last petals to opening. The scent of cherry blossoms was more potent as the last few petals fell. Although the scent was overpowering it wasn't suffocating, Yun Hua nearing the bud. In the center of the cherry blossom laid beautifully asleep was a delicate face of a young lady. She was as beautiful as Yun Hua as she looked similar to Yun Hua and the late floral goddess.
As Yun Hua looked more intently of the sleeping girl, she stirred awake. Poising herself up the young lady rubbed her almond eyes and stretched her limbs gracefully. Naked as a child the young lady tried to stand up but was unstable. Rushing to her side the current floral goddess covered her before assisting her to a nearby stone to sit. After the young lady was settled the floral goddess was hit with a golden wisp and went into a sudden trance.
"Floral Goddess? What happened?" Yun Hua rushed forward as soon as she noticed floral goddess become stiff. Watching this the young lady seemed in a daze, as Yun Hua was also hit with a golden wisp as well.
In this golden wisp contained the last message of the last floral goddess, in it explained the emergence of the child and who it was. Yun Hua couldn't believe it as she had a younger sister, a family member. Someone she was related to, someone who would know her as a sister. A seemingly empty part of Yun Hua was filled with this new found sister of hers. After the message was relayed to Yun Hua and the floral goddess, both had looked at the young yet not young child in front of them.
"Hello, I'm Lin Yi." the softest yet sultry voice broke the silence.

Lin Yi had accumulated into the floral realm and had not been exposed to the outer world. Gifts and congratulations were sent once it was announced that the new found goddess was a child of the previous floral goddess. Of course Yun Hua had spent much time with Lin Yi as she deeply always longed for her family. The family of a mother, father and siblings and although she had created her own family it was always a bit sad when she witness her husband with his own family and having a warm difference to a created family.
Lin Yi had spent a thousand years in the water mirror and she had gone out nine times to receive the lightening bolts for each passing of new found growth. And each time Yun Hua's heart would bleed as if Lin Yi was her own child. Lin Yi was requested to appear in heavenly court to receive her title but was heavily refused by the floral realm. Hence not wanting to cause a scene, the title was passed to the first prince to be delivered personally to the floral goddess.
While the first prince had been seated to wait for the floral goddess, the prince had inhaled the most heavenly sweet and calming scent. Unconsciously the prince had followed the scent to the entrance of the water mirror, as he regained his composure the first prince known as Ru Yan. Ru Yan looked around and noticed that there were no patrol around the water mirror, hence giving a try to pass through the enchantment of the water mirror. Although to his surprise the enchantment was powerful and had layering ancient spells preventing those not of the floral realm to be barred from entering.
"First prince, may I know why you are here at the water mirror?" Floral goddess appeared behind Ru Yan. Thick face, Ru Yan smiled and replied he just wanted to stroll about as he had waited. Floral goddess accepted the reasoning on the surface but there water mirror was too deep into their territory that she knew he was too suspicious to be left alone the next time he was to visit.
After receiving the title and bestowment on behalf of Lin Yi, the floral goddess saw the first prince personally off. Lin Yi in question was peacefully in her dwelling in the water mirror clueless to matters beyond the barrier of the water mirror.
Currently Lin Yi is known to be the second prodigal god/goddess in the eight realms as she was able to advance in her cultivation before her thousandth birthday. Only one known god had reached this level of cultivation before and it was war god Mo Yan. Although Lin Yi had obtained great power beyond her years and peers, Lin Yi had been very sheltered by the leaders of the floral realm with the addition of both the floral goddess and Yun Hua. With this much sheltering Lin Yi was pampered and spoiled to the point of no return and yet she wasn't unreasonable nor was she entitled. The three hundreds years was up and Lin Yi was curious about the outer world, with a flick of her hand two letters was sent to Yun Hua and the Floral goddess about her departure.
Once Yun Hua and Floral goddess gotten their letter, they rushed to the water mirror but their hopes were dashed as Lin Yi was long gone. Quietly Yun Hua and Floral goddess had sent out multiple of scouts and messages to lower floral officials to keep the look out for Lin Yi. Although Lin Yi who wanted to be left alone, how could she not know the hassle that would come when she left?
Making her scent and presence Lin Yi appeared as a middle level goddess with a very forgetful face. As she read many novels while staying in the water mirror, Lin Yi was not naive to pickpockets and traders of low level beast men and creatures. Hence why Lin Yi wasn't dumb enough to cover her celestial aura until she was a low level to avoid being detected. That was what her sister and floral goddess would think she would do. But the hassle to handle all the cons for that is annoying and tiring. Hence she had gone to explore the four seas, with a butt load of money and riches in her storage bracelet, Lin Yi did not shy from luxury and spent no expenses in touring around the four seas.
Meanwhile Yun Hua was bawling her eyes out and lecturing a non-existent Lin Yi at her manor.
"Luo Lin, say. How can she do this to me? I'm already so old, I can't handle this! What if she gets kidnapped and sold to a pervert? How will I answer mother in the abyss? So precious, I raised with with my own two hands with blood, sweat and tears! Oh Lin Yi, Lin Yi! See how I'll punish you once you're back!" Luo Lin smiled helplessly to his five children as their mother ranted on about their aunt running away. None of them were worried as their aunt's cultivation was higher than their father's and who was their father? The hero that ended the great war a thousand years ago.
But nonetheless everyone listen to their mother cries and comforted her.
"My wife, I know you worried for her safety but remember she already grown and she has a higher cultivation than we do combined. She will be perfectly safe and it's not like you didn't teach her to use common sense? Little sister Lin Yi will be fine. Now don't stress out, we still have to get you check out to see if you're with child."
"Ah!?" All five children voiced out, blushing Yun Hua elbowed her husband hard on the ribs.
Smiling brightly, Luo Lin guided Yun Hua towards their wing for the doctor's visit.
"I can't believe it, Uncle Zhe Yan already gave them contraceptives.." Voicing out his thoughts the youngest child sulked at the thought of not being the youngest anymore but perked up once he thought he had someone he could bully now.
Lin Yi traveled the four seas which took six years to do, during her trip she witnessed and was absorbed in many different cultures. After her travels Lin Yi wanted to explore more but didn't know where to go. Drawing the rest of the name of the realms in a circle on the sand Lin Yi spin herself and threw a stick down. Lin Yi stick landed on the mortal realm. Smiling Lin Yi used her foot to erase the writings on the sand. With the mortal realm in her mind, Lin Yi re-adjusted her aura to a high-low level cultivated individual.
Arriving in the mortal realm Lin Yi began to assimilate into a mortal high ranking family. Although Lin Yi had been sheltered for many year she did not forget the struggles of her last life and didn't forget her current life's teaching either. There are things where they can be alter if given the correct advise and other things are to be left alone to prevent messing around of the fates of the human world.
Lin Yi assumed the fate of a short lived life of the only and cherished daughter of the Duke Rong and Duchess Rong. As she assumed the already dead daughter's role Lin Yi had perfectly rewritten the memories of the Rong household as if the daughter had return from the gates of hell with an inch of her life.
And so Lin Yi began her life in the mortal realm as being the only daughter of the Rong household. She spent every day wondering outside the manor and exploring the city and farm lands of the Rong's Duchy. Lin Yi soon grew bored of the mortal world and wanted elsewhere. In the mortal world there was no long period of peace, there was always another war, another epidemic or a end of a dynasty due to internal struggles. Lin Li lived out a hundreds of years in the mortal world but about only five years in the celestial realms. Lin Li tied her lose ends and returned back to the floral realm. Although unknown to Lin Yi was that the Floral realm was hosting the century competition of the eight celestial realm in terms of literature, martial arts and celestial arts.
As Lin Yi did not feel the need to cover her scent and cultivation aura, as soon as she returned she unmasked everything causing her innate scent to linger and diffuse to the surrounding areas. Lin Yi was making her way to the water mirror for a good rest when she was stopped by an unknown lady.
"Stop! You there! Take me to the main hall immediately!" Lin Yi looked around and pointed at herself.
"Yes you! Are you dumb or something? Hurry and take me to the main hall. Are all maids in the floral realm as stupid as you are?" Lin Yi baffled, thinking she forgot to unmask her aura. Repeating her unmasking spelling Lin Yi was certain that her original aura had returned. Looking towards the young lady, Lin Yi was confused. Did the rules of survival not apply to the celestial realms?
Another reason why Lin Yi rushed to obtain a high level cultivation was to avoid having to bowing and cower at the feet of others. Lin Yi noticed that the girl's cultivation was only in earth rank, Lin Yi ignored the girl and cast an immobility spell and went about her way.

"Lin Yi! Come out this instant! Come out now! You misbehaving child!" Lin Yi was prepared for handling this already.
"Sister!! I missed you so much." Lin Li pulled her best card, the card which she only pulled out in the most desperate of times. With her eyes pooling a bit of water and her lips slightly pouted Lin Li appeared adorably irresistible.
Running to hug her sister Lin Yi acted spoiled and snuggled into the breast of her sister.
"A'Li missed older sister so much! I missed your cooking and I missed your hugs." Yun Hua having greatly missed Lin Li couldn't bear to punish Lin Li when she acted so. Yun Hua gave a sigh and patted Lin Li head.
"You, you left so suddenly and didn't even left me say goodbye and now you know how to come back?"
"Sister don't be so mad I brought back many things for you and my nieces and nephews. Look!" Dumping out all the trinkets and novels Lin Li collected from her recent travels , Lin Li gave the best things to Yun Hua and reserved the hens for floral goddess.
"Oh and sister, I encountered quite a rude stranger. She was like a screeching harpie non stop. It scared me so much.." After hearing this Yun Hua concern that Lin Li was startled by it. Lin Li having tattled smiled inward while posing a scared paled face.
After getting the facial and clothing description of the girl, Yun Hua informed Lin Yi of the competition today and if she would like to join. Lin Li thought about it and would attend the last day of the competition.
