The next day at dawn Adam, Fiona, and Ciara finally recovered and I asked everyone to gather at the meeting hall. After everyone arrived, I told everyone "We have to abandon the schedule we made yesterday". Noelle asked "Why do we need to do that?". I told her to calm down and continued to explain…
"If something like that bear attacks us again, we might not be able to defeat it next time." This sentence made everyone ponder over the fight they just had. Aella said, "If we made even a small mistake we might have died". I continued saying "So we need to spend a lot of time hunting and getting stronger".
Everyone agreed. So, we all took off in different directions trying to find monsters to hunt down except Sylvie because she needed to protect our home. Cyrus and Ramiel were the first ones to rush off, followed by Noelle and Aella, then Adam but Ciara asked me if she could go with Fiona since she does not have attack skills. Hearing his request I agreed. Then finally I left the base.
Cyrus didn't have to go far before he found a herd of 30 wild boars with fire coming out of their fur. Cyrus being a Red Scaled Snake granted him some degree of fire resistance but it wasn't anything great so he was a little nervous fighting that many boars.
Ramiel found a borrow of Thunder Rabbits, similar to Cyrus, Ramiel also had some degree of thunder resistance but would even be overwhelmed if not careful. So, he let out a deep breath and ventured inside.
Noelle traveled far and discovered a large grassland and found 30 oversized bulls. Their pure strength broke the ice but after being continuously being hit by Ice Element attacks the bulls eventually succumbed to the cold.
Aella wanted to explore the surroundings so she just spent most of her time exploring and making a map by using her wind powers to jump high but unexpectedly landed on a Giant Ice Ant nest and fell inside. So, she had no choice but to fight.
Adam found a river and decided to drink some water since he was thirsty but suddenly an Alligator attacked him and then he jumped back only to see more of them in the water. He took up a fighting form.
Ciara and Fiona who went together found a den of 30 Wolves led by a 4th-level entry beast. So, they decided to kill them when they went on hunts slowly.
I wasted no time ignoring all the small monsters and headed toward the most powerful beasts in the forest. My first target was a 5th-level Golden Eagle. It just stays in the air and only comes down to hunt making it hard to fight. Eagles have high stamina So it can stay there for at least a few hours.
I couldn't reach the eagle so I made myself bait. I stood out in the open until it dove at me. It was about to grab me, so I turned around and grabbed its wings and bit its wings using the 'Chaos Fang' skill. The eagle let out a large screech and crashed to the ground. It stood up and tried to fly but couldn't so it decided to face me head on.
I managed to eliminate its huge advantage by making it lose its flight. But I didn't relax and was still very cautious when fighting it. The Eagle spread its wings and shot out some feathers I dodged them but the feathers pierced through the tree behind me. That's when I realized how powerful the eagle in front of me was.
After I dodged to the side it rushed toward me and jumped up to try to hit me with its claw. From what I know the claw is the toughest part of the eagle and if it hit me, it wouldn't be a fun day. I dodged it and rushed it and used 'Chaos Blade'. The eagle dodged backward and launched its feathers and they span like a hurricane
I got hit and flew back and collided with a tree breaking it in the process. I got up and was about to rush toward it and then suddenly the eagle spread its wings and took off. I was confused because I thought I injured its wing and it couldn't fly for a while but it just recovered.
Now, I was at a huge disadvantage against the eagle so I immediately laid down in a bush planning what to do now, and before I could think the eagle emitted a large amount of spiritual energy and dove at me at full speed. I couldn't see it until it hit me. I bounced from the ground and coughed up blood.
My eyes were blurry and only saw a glimpse of the eagle preparing for another dive. So, I charged 'Chaos Breath' in my mouth, and then suddenly the eagle was right in front of me and I got hit hard but I released the breath at point-blank range. The attack did damage to both of us. When the dust finally cleared.
The eagle was injured and was lying there twitching. I was also in bad shape so slowly crawled toward it, created a 'Chaos Blade' on my arm, and chopped its head clean off. Then I plopped on my back feeling extremely tired and then I was surrounded by a Bright light and I leveled up.

Looks like I was pretty close to leveling up when we defeated the bear and this eagle gave me just enough exp needed for the next stage. I still haven't gained any new skills despite leveling up. It's a bummer but at least I leveled up. I wonder how the others are doing.
Just before he was about to leave a group of level 3 entry eagles attacked me. I sensed the attack and dodged but the next moment all three of them dove at me. I dodged two of them but got hit by the third one. The three of them ascended high and again spread their wings. Damn, these things are annoying to deal with.
