While I was sleeping, I suddenly heard loud stomping sounds. I woke to check it out and saw a large bear that had destroyed the fence and was about to attack the house. However, large vines grew from the ground and restrained the bear. After struggling for a few seconds, it broke free.
At the same time, others woke up, as they also had a heightened sense of danger. The bear seemed to be a 6th-level Entry beast, while we were only at the peak of 2nd-level beasts, and Sylvie was only a 1-star spirit. Aella who saw the bear and was terrified asked if we could defeat it. I confidently replied that we might not be able to beat it individually, but we could if we worked together.
Ciara then asked if I had a plan. I immediately thought of a formation and told everyone about it. "Cyrus, Ramiel, and I will be the main attackers. Adam will be the blocker, and Fiona will focus on healing and supporting us four. Noelle, keep using long-range skills to attack it. Aella, your job is to protect Fiona. And Ciara. If you see any openings, attack it. Sylvie, keep restraining it."
So, Cyrus, Ramiel, Terra and I take the front line, and Noelle and Sylvie are just behind us. Aella and Fiona are at the very last and Ciara has camouflaged herself using the "Shadow Veil" skill. As we were about to attack, the bear let out a roar that stunned us. Then Fiona in the back used her "Divine Radiance" skill which created a bright light in the sky and the light enveloped all of us and it removed the stun effect hence we were able to move again.
After seeing this the bear rushes toward Fiona. Aella created an Air Wall to defend against it using her skill. But the Bear broke the wall instantly and pushed back Aella and before it could attack again Sylvie wrapped it in vines and pulled it back and Noelle used her skill to create a huge wall of ice around the bear blocking Fiona from it.
I used Chaos Breath, Cyrus compressed a large amount of flame into an orb and threw it toward the bear, and Ramiel generated a Bright Yellow thunder from his fingers and shot it toward the bear. Just before these hit the bear it created a large red shield around itself.
The thunder hit first and didn't do anything and when the flame orb hit the shield it created a large explosion near it lastly the Breath hit it and melted through the shield but the bear noticed this and dodged backward so, the breath slightly injured it on the side.
Ciara saw an opening and jumped up to attack its face from behind but the bear turned around and was about to punch Ciara and she couldn't dodge as she was in the air. Sylvie used her vines to pull her back to safety. Seeing this the bear rushes toward Sylvie but is blocked by Adam.
Adam used his skill to cover herself in Earth Armor and created a spike shield. The shield pierced the bear's paw but it didn't do any fatal damage. Cyrus and Ramiel rush the Bear using 'Fire Fist' and 'Thunder Charge' respectively both attack land but it only pushes the bear back and it quickly regains its balance.
Noelle used her "Ice Beam" skill but the bear blocks it using its shield. Then I used my "Chaos Breath" skill and the bear directly dodged without trying to defend. Sylvie used her vines to tie him up but it easily broke out. Ciara goes in for the attack again and this time too the bear turns around and tries to attack her again Sylvie uses her vines but the bear grabs the vines with one hand with the other and smashes Ciara from the top.
Ciara Faints from the heavy blow, the bear is about to continue attacking but Adam rushes in front of Ciara to block it the bear lets go of the vines enhances its strength, and punches him horizontally breaking his Armor and sending him flying. Aella uses her wind powers to cushion Adam's fall. Fiona rushes to Adam to heal him but the bear picks up Ciara from the ground and throws her toward Fiona just as they are about to collide Sylvie pulls Fiona back and Aella cushions Ciara's fall.
Cyrus and Ramiel rush in for the punch. I rushed toward Adam and Ciara to check on them but the bear created a barrier around itself and ran toward them as well, the bear was about to strike me from behind but Noelle who noticed this yelled out "Tyran! Watch out". I heard her, instantly created two chaos blades from my hands, and swung them back.
The bear who noticed my blades punched the ground causing a great amount of sand and rock to be stirred up, which pushed me back. I balanced myself and glanced at the bear only to see it blocking our way to Ciara and Terra. The bear roared again and before Fiona could heal us it rushed at Fiona and punched her and she flew back and fainted.
With this move, we were at a complete disadvantage and the bear no longer blocked Ciara and Adam but was blocking us from getting to Fiona. "Now that our formation is broken, we need a new formation". I tell Noelle and Aella to focus on ranged attacks and Sylvie to take over Terra's position.
I created two blades and rushed toward the bear. Seeing this the bear smashed the ground with both his arms. Rocks flew out again and I used my blade to block them, Sylvie used her "Spirit Shield" skill to defend Cyrus and Ramiel, and Noelle created a dome of ice around herself and Aella to block the rocks.
After the rocks and winds subsided, I shouted at Noelle to come out of the dome, and Noelle who heard this broke the dome and created sharp spears and launched them toward the bear and the majority of them hit before it could put up the shield. I rushed at the bear with my blade but the bear roared again which also stunned me but I could move after just a few seconds.
It appeared that I had developed a resistance to it. Cyrus and Ramiel leaped up and punched its shoulders, causing it to drop onto its back. Seeing an opportunity, Sylvie wrapped vines around it and tied it down. Aella seized the moment, compressing a large amount of air to create a bullet, and launched it toward the bear.
The bear blocked the bullet by sacrificing its arm, The bear broke free and punched Aella on the side, sending her flying. After that Ciara who was healed by the barely conscious Fiona, used her skill Shadow Strike to cut its legs so that it can't stand up and I decapitated it using my Chaos Blades.
The bear finally died and suddenly a bright light surrounded all eight of us and we broke through and became 3rd level-entry beasts. "That was close if we were any more careless, we might have died." We then checked on Adam and Fiona thankfully none of them were fatally injured and could recover with a few hours of rest.
