Chapter 1 - AWAKENING CEREMONY

"Everyone, stand on the platform, the ceremony is about to begin," the principal's voice reached the ears of all the students mysteriously.

The students looked at the huge platform that spanned several miles with varying expressions. This moment was going to determine their future.

Some even held their hands together for prayers as they walked onto the platform.

Aiden, on the other hand, did not care. He walked calmly, his golden hair fluttering in the calm of the wind.

But beneath that calm, there was a subtle anticipation. He had waited for over 17 years in this world he transmigrated to, and he is finally going to awaken his soul core.

Blue shimmers fell on the students, causing them to drowse. Before they knew it, they were in front of a huge gate in an endless darkness.

The gate seemed to be calling them as they drifted closer to it. Aiden, on the other hand, was stranded. There were two gates before him, and he did not know which he had to enter.

But he did not need to worry for long. A huge tremor passed through the darkness, pulling the doors closer. Then, in the blink of an eye, they fused into a single colossal door that glistened with an otherworldly light.

Without a sound, Aiden was yanked into the open door, an aurora light blinding him briefly.

Aiden opened his eyes, confusion etched deeply into them. "What the hell just happened?" He yelled, only to be replied to by an echo.

He looked up, the place making him calm down slowly. The place stretched endlessly with lush grass that released a sweet fragrance into the atmosphere.

He was reveling in the beauty of the place when a flicker of blue light flashed in his eyes.

[Awakened has entered their soul core, soul core activated.]

[Awakened has two soul cores]

[You have awakened the talent: amplification]

[ You have awakened the talent: Sixth sense]

[You have awakened the summoner class]

[You have awakened the Lightning swordsman class]

Aiden's eyes widened when he saw the talents he received. "How did I activate two talents? Why is nothing normal here?" He asked, frustrated.

"But..." He said through his frustration. "With two cores, I get two classes and two talents," he said with a smirk.

"Descriptions, he said with a slight smile to the system."

[Amplification: Pushes any skill, technique, or talent to the divine rank]

Aiden's breath hitched when he saw the description.

What sort of joke was this, divine rank, just like that?

In the whole federation, there were only 2 records of divine rank skills. "This is insane," he said with ecstasy.

His eyes continued to go down the list.

[Feels faint warnings of danger in close range]

He looked at the talent description, but was not sad. The joy of the amplification talent was enough for him.

As he wanted to move on, he saw the talent glow bright with a golden light.

[Sixth sense has been amplified to the divine tier.]

[See, sense, and process everything around you in all angles simultaneously (above, behind, below).]

Aiden looked at the new talent description; his brows furrowed. "Am I the secret son of the system?" He asked, his voice low.

"It helps me anyway," he said, already checking his class skills.

"Okay, I am no longer annoyed with wasting 17 years in this world; this talent has paid the price," Aiden said with an astonished gasp.

A slight tremor passed through the plane, cracks appearing around as Aiden felt his body falling. His body trembled on the platform.

Slowly, his eyes opened, his brows twitching as he came back to the normal world.

Around him, the other students were having similar reactions. Some threw up as their souls returned to their bodies.

Others staggered, clutching their chests, nauseated.

The principal's eyes swept over the crowd with a calm glint. "Go home and familiarise yourself with your soul cores. You will be summoned to your first soul dungeon by midnight," he said with a calm voice, his gaze faltering slightly as he looked at the students.

He also knew that the chance of the students surviving in the soul dungeon was very low. In the world, only 5% of the people who awaken their soul cores manage to become Eidolons.

After a brief speech, the principal let them go to their house to prepare for their first dungeon run.

Aiden got off the platform, his feet meeting the ground with a gentle touch. He walked towards the gate, not bothering to wait for anyone, like the others who were still mingling with their friends.

He made no friends in the academy since he knew true friendship was not something that could just be confessed with words. Friendship is something that must come with a gain. That had always been his belief.

Even the girls who tried to get closer to him because of his good looks were shunned by him. Unless he was strong, there was no need for friends.
