Aiden walked calmly on the street, the honking of the cars disturbing his peaceful thoughts. His hands were dipped into the pockets of his trousers.
His steps were calm and steady as he walked the streets. "Trot district is still as lively as ever, even at this hour," He muttered with a gentle smile.
"Good evening, Mr. Aiden," the estate guard greeted Aiden as he walked in.
Aiden made a slight bow. "Good evening, Mr. Noah."
He walked through the huge gate, entering the massive estate. The estate appeared to be a separate world from the outside world. Exotic plants lined the stands, sweet fragrance perfumed the air, and beautiful birds flew around.
Houses stood neatly in rows, each one crafted with intricate designs that spoke of wealth. From the windows, soft golden lights shone outside, bathing the walkways in their beauty.
Aiden continued to walk into the estate, his frame going further until he reached one of the buildings.
This building was one of the best among all the buildings that stood in the estate. He walked to the door of the building with calm steps before stopping 2 meters away from the foot mat.
A blue wave came from the camera that stood over the door, scanning his iris. [Welcome, Master Aiden,] a cold mechanical voice sounded.
The door slid open with a click, revealing a spacious living room lit by soft, warm lights. Aiden stepped into the huge house, the doors closing as he walked in.
The air smelled faintly of fresh flowers, a fragrance released from the flowers that stood neatly in a pot in a corner. Aiden walked to the pot and bent slightly. He drew in the smell with a long breath before finally releasing it.
"I can never get enough flower fragrance," he muttered as he walked towards the small silver door that stood at the end of the long hallway.
As he entered, his eyes immediately went towards the large framed portrait that hung on the wall.
Two adults, a man and a woman, were painted on it. The man had golden hair that stretched down his neck. His eyes were hazel and bright like the eyes of someone who did nothing but smile.
The woman had silver hair packed in ponytails. Her aurora colored eyes were calm and cold. At a glance, one could tell that she was a woman of discipline.
"Mom, I finally awakened my soul core. I don't need to eat soul grass to improve my soul affinity again," he said in a gentle voice.
"Dad, I can accompany you to a soul dungeon now," he said, his fist trembling by his side. "So why? Why did you have to disappear two days before my awakening?" His voice cracked as tears streamed down his face.
For a moment, he stood frozen before the portrait, his chest rising and falling heavily. "I will grow stronger. Strong enough to know the reason for your disappearance. I swear it," he said with gritted teeth.
Aiden's fist eased slowly as he wiped the tears from his face. "Now's not the time to do this; the soul dungeon would call me soon."
He went to a drawer and took out his phone. He scrolled to an app labeled Soul Store. With a slight tap, the app opened.
"I should buy things I might need in the soul dungeon."
His parent were wealthy, and they left enough fortune to make him one of the richest in the federation. Buying a few items was nothing to him.

After searching extensively for over 30 minutes, he finally saw a sword. Not like he likes it, but it was the best he could see online. "I hate the federation policy about online purchases being restricted to the yellow tier."
A ding was heard on his door as he dropped his phone. A small smirk formed on his lips.
"But they sure value their new awakened." He jumped off his bed and walked to the door. He collected the box from the man whose face was barely visible.
He walked into the house, carrying the box with a smile. "Sending Nascent stage Eidolons to deliver goods."
He unwrapped the box on his bed. In the box, a small ring that glowed with a beautiful light sat calmly. Under it, 6 vials that held blue and red liquids were arranged neatly.
He took the ring, wearing it on his finger. At first, it was bigger than his hands before it suddenly shrank to match his finger. He let his soul essence flow into it. Inside, two yellow blades were placed on top of each other.
He pulled it out slowly with his soul essence. The swords floated in the air, unaffected by gravity.
Aiden held them by the hilt quickly, his hand flexing them with style. He focused as he activated lightning infusion.
Slowly, golden tendrils of electricity began to form across the blade, covering it in its golden hue. With a swing, a sharp arc of lightning flew out at tremendous speed, crashing into the wall. Nothing special happened.
Aiden also knew that the walls were made of special materials. He took the potions into the ring alongside the swords. "Preparations are complete; all that's left is to wait for the dungeon," he whispered with anticipation.
He collapsed onto the massive bed, the black spread squeezing slightly. In no time, he drifted off as sleep won him over.
The portrait on the wall shook subtly as if looking at Aiden.
A noise woke Aiden from his sleep. As he opened his eyes, a wide crack of light split the room. A huge tear tore across his room. Behind the tear, an endless expanse of darkness shrouded the space.
"It is here," Aiden said, his voice low.
Without wasting time, he jumped off his bed. "Wish me luck, mum, dad," he said to the portrait as he leaped into the crack.
