Chapter 4563: Still Have to Walk Your Own Path
The Hidden Spirit Pearl concealed Lin Moyu's group as Xiao Peng sped through the void at an astonishing pace.
He squinted and joked, "The North Pole Supreme must be furious right now."
Lin Moyu replied, "I'd guess he wants to kill me."
Xiao Peng said, "When I get stronger, he'll never catch me."
Lin Moyu replied, "If you recover your peak, your strength shouldn't be inferior to his."
Xiao Peng said proudly, "Of course."
Back in those days, the Golden Winged Roc wasn't afraid of any Supreme. The cultivation system wasn't even fully established then, but top living beings were not weaker than the Great Supremes.
Now, the cultivation system is established, and heavens and earth have strict rules the number of Supremes is limited to nine.
It appears that the world has weakened and can't support more Supremes, but Lin Moyu believes that, in fact, the world has become even stronger.
The reason for the limit on top tier power isn't weakness, but the "Dao," which occupies too many resources and restricts the number of Supremes.
That said, there are still Quasi Supremes below the Supreme level, and they aren't limited.
Thinking about the Supreme limit, Lin Moyu suddenly realized something he'd overlooked.
If Calamity Supreme isn't truly dead, then to deceive the "Dao," he must have abandoned his Supreme status.
And in his plan, the Supreme position was reserved for Lin Moyu.
Without the Supreme position, and if Calamity Supreme has already surpassed that realm…
"No destruction, no creation!"
Lin Moyu realized that Calamity Supreme had probably planned everything including an escape route long before this scheme began.
He must have discovered something in the depths of the Primal Wilderness that drove his schemes.
So, Lin Moyu had to ask himself: is becoming a Supreme truly the only way?
On the surface, it seems like the only path, but Calamity Supreme's actions prove otherwise the road of the Supreme isn't the only choice.
No destruction, no creation…
Lin Moyu mulled over those four characters, realizing he'd fallen into a trap.
To create something new, you must first "destroy" but only after you "have."
In other words, he'd need to become a Supreme, then abandon that position to break and then stand anew.
This is the path Calamity Supreme took, and so far, he succeeded.
But Lin Moyu's foundation is far stronger; perhaps he can stand without breaking surpass the Supreme directly from that basis.
Besides, he has a storage space and limitless Primordial Qi advantages unique to himself.
With these, he can blaze a road all his own, as he always did in the Great World and Origin Continent: walk where no one else has.
"The world limits Supremes to nine; besides the 'Dao' hoarding resources, there must be other reasons."
"When I become Supreme, the secret will likely reveal itself."
That's a rule of heaven and earth some mysteries only open up at the right realm.
On their way out, Xiao Peng had taken decades to fly; the return took under ten years a severalfold speed increase.
They passed silently through the battlefield, through the Upper Realm's army camp, and confidently entered the cross domain array unnoticed.
Xiao Peng asked, "Master, are we going to the Upper Realm?"
Lin Moyu shook his head. "No, we're going to the Lower Realm."
Xiao Peng was surprised: "Isn't the Upper Realm easier?"
Lin Moyu said, "Because it's easy, we'll leave it for last."
Xiao Peng didn't ask more if Lin Moyu decided, he trusted him instinctively.
Lin Moyu had a feeling: once all the arrays were refined, something uncomfortable would happen.
On the surface, the arrays look like they're his the same thing Calamity Supreme said but is that really true?
Even after refining the arrays, Lin Moyu can't claim to see through every arrangement from Calamity Supreme.
What if Calamity Supreme's formation skills are higher than he imagined, and a trap is hidden at the core? Entirely possible.
After discovering Calamity Supreme's strange behavior, Lin Moyu became more and more cautious.
The cross domain array's sudden activation drew attention from the Upper Realm's experts, but they couldn't find the cause.
Several days later, Lin Moyu quietly returned to the Central Region.
He left Linbei City and entered Wangbei Border, finally dispelling the Hidden Spirit Pearl.
He intended to teleport from Wangbei Border back to the Central Region Alliance HQ, and from there proceed to the Lower Realm this is the only way.
Familiar chaos energy greeted him, and Lin Moyu felt the difference immediately.
If you're always in chaos, you barely sense the changes; but leave and return, you'll feel them clearly.
Little Tree and the others also noticed.
Little Tree said, "That thing's influence has grown even stronger."
Lin Moyu replied, "Just now, I saw a warlike light in the eyes of those at Wangbei Border."
Little Tree said, "Yes. They've lost their absolute calmness."
The thing from the deepest Primal Wilderness, for reasons unknown, first erases creatures' absolute calm.
It impacts their Dao hearts, making them impulsive and hotheaded.
This influence is silent and gradual; no matter how high your cultivation, you can't avoid it.
Before, Lin Moyu's soul was pure, so he was barely affected.
Now, with a layer of Primordial Qi armor outside his soul world, he is shielded even further.
No matter how high the origin of that thing, it can't surpass Primordial Qi.
Lin Moyu remained absolutely calm, able to weigh all things dispassionately.
Entering Wangbei Border, which was under martial law, his status as a Central Region Alliance Grand Elder still allowed him to use the teleportation array back to HQ.
At the headquarters, Lin Moyu sent Mu Tianze a message, saying he needed to meet.
Mu Tianze soon arrived. "Elder Lin, what brings you here?"
He was even more respectful than before. Seeing how Lin Moyu had spoken with Supreme Boyang last time, Mu Tianze knew their relationship was special he'd never seen anyone speak to a Supreme like that before.
Lin Moyu asked, "Anything strange in the Primal Chaos Wilderness lately?"
Mu Tianze, who tracked all alliance affairs, would know.
Mu Tianze thought for a bit. "The North, South, and East Supremes have all acted already; only the West defends, seemingly uninterested in action. Other than that, nothing odd in Chaos, but the Wilderness has been different. Some beings from the Wilderness entered the Desolate Scars and clashed with the inhabitants rarely happens."
Lin Moyu knew the influence was greater in the Wilderness.
"Has the old man in the green robe ever told you Chaos will soon descend into chaos?" Lin Moyu pressed.
Mu Tianze replied, "He did Chaos between the extremes is already in total upheaval."
Lin Moyu shook his head. "That's not real chaos."
Mu Tianze's expression changed. "You mean it'll get worse?"
Lin Moyu responded, "Yeah. The leader may wish to carefully observe aren't human cultivators becoming more combative?"
