Chapter 4562: The Supreme Like a Clown
The three formations set up by the North Pole Supreme were nothing to Lin Moyu.
When Lin Moyu activated the Calamity Supreme's grand array, the North Pole Supreme's three formations were simply swept away by the sudden expansion of the larger array.
His level of formation mastery was child's play in front of Calamity Supreme.
The North Pole Supreme's avatar was startled awake, shocked by the sudden activation of the great array, but saw no one and had no idea what was happening.
As he was startled, Lin Moyu had already entered the array, heading straight into its core, seeing the familiar scene.
Just before entering the core, he dispelled the Hidden Spirit Pearl.
"You've finally come. I'm leaving," said the statue bluntly, not waiting for Lin Moyu's response, opening the time space tunnel and departing immediately.
The will of Calamity Supreme in these statues was now linked, so all information was shared between them.
Lin Moyu watched as the statue vanished into the time space tunnel. "Can you pinpoint the location?"
Little Tree shook his head. "Too short a time to lock it down. But I can tell this tunnel goes very far, and it's not a normal space time passage."
Lin Moyu's eyebrow rose. "What do you mean?"
Little Tree replied, "This tunnel has probably existed for ages not built in the moment, but always there, only activated when needed. There should be a treasure at the other end, which Calamity Supreme uses to construct the tunnel."
"While I can't sense the exact spot, it's somewhere deep in the Primal Wilderness."
Lin Moyu nodded. "Got it. Did you notice how hurried he seemed just now?"
This time, the Calamity Supreme was different from previous encounters he seemed rushed, leaving quickly and unlike before.
Just a few decades had passed, but something had changed; the urgency was obvious Little Tree and Chaos Child both sensed it.
"What's he rushing for?"
"If he's in a hurry, something must be up. What's he doing in the depths of the Primal Wilderness?"
Little Tree said, "It's not just urgency. His aura was unstable, possibly related to whatever is coming from the deepest part of the Primal Wilderness."
Lin Moyu nodded slightly. "Maybe so."
Years had passed almost entirely in seclusion under the Hidden Spirit Pearl; they were virtually isolated from the outside world.
In these decades, who knew where "that thing" had reached, or how much its influence over Chaos had grown.
It came from the very depths of the Primal Wilderness, traversing space in ways ordinary cultivators couldn't fathom.
While its speed wasn't fast, the repercussions had already stretched across all of Chaos a bigger effect was even felt in the Wilderness.
With Calamity Supreme and others residing there, their exposure was greater, possibly explaining his anxiety.
They'd have to wait until leaving and lowering the Hidden Spirit Pearl to sense for themselves.
He began refining the array; with this one, only the Upper and Lower Realm arrays would remain out of twelve.
The Upper Realm's array wouldn't be an issue: the Central and Upper Regions were always on good terms. He could enter easily and the position was clear, so finding the array would be no problem.
The Lower Realm, however, would be more difficult few even knew its state, and there was nothing on it even in Mu Tianze's data.
It was shrouded in mystery, only discoverable upon arrival.
As Lin Moyu refined the array, the North Pole Supreme's true body clad in blue robes and blue hair arrived outside, with his avatar merging back into him.
The North Pole Supreme's gaze was sharp as lightning as he stared at the activated array, but in his eyes it was empty.
Even as a Supreme, he couldn't see what was happening in the array's core, but he sensed something unusual was happening.
"Someone's entered. Probably him. That gate was just opened too was that also him? He went in and came out, but I felt nothing at all."
"What method is he using? Seems I can't catch him by normal means."
He pulled out a blue pearl, glowing and chilling.
"Seal!"
In an instant, billions of miles of void were frozen, all things silenced.
"Let's see how you escape this," the North Pole Supreme said coldly.
Inside the core, Lin Moyu looked up, seeing with his perception the North Pole Supreme holding the blue pearl, freezing vast space.
"This pearl… it seems similar to the Hidden Spirit Pearl and Chaos Pearl," Lin Moyu judged the blue bead was also an ancient spirit pearl.
Little Tree said, "That's the Water Pearl, one of the Five Element Spirit Pearls born together in ancient times, containing the powers of metal, wood, water, fire, and earth. They're known collectively as the Five Element Spirit Pearls."
"Later, these five pearls merged to form the Chaos Five Element Supreme,"
Chaos Child scoffed. "Just a nice name, but honestly worthless. He died quickly."
Little Tree chuckled. "True he wasn't strong, was slain quickly, and split again into the five pearls, which scattered. That's one of them."
Chaos Child grumbled, "Even merged they were weak. After splitting, even weaker."
He was picky now, having known much better treasures.
Lin Moyu said, "When I'm finished refining the array, Little Tree, you open a time space tunnel straight out."
Little Tree agreed. "No problem."
Lin Moyu wanted to avoid a direct showdown with a Supreme.
The North Pole Supreme thought freezing the void meant Lin Moyu was trapped, but that method was useless against him.
With Little Tree's strength returning, making time space tunnels was almost effortless except in special areas his roots once spread across half of Chaos.
A dozen days later, the array was fully refined.
"Let's do it, Little Tree," Lin Moyu ordered.
Little Tree, ready, sparked a root through reality, opening a tunnel billions of miles away.
Lin Moyu covered himself with the Hidden Spirit Pearl and stepped into the tunnel.
The array's core fell quiet, the statue gone, now under new ownership, otherwise unchanged.
Outside, the North Pole Supreme had no idea Lin Moyu had already left, still keeping watch.
After a hundred days, the array began shrinking, turning into a speck again.
The North Pole Supreme paled with shock. "He's gone!"
He couldn't believe Lin Moyu had slipped away right under his nose, not even noticing when or maybe long before. He felt like a clown waiting in vain.
Fury burned in his eyes. "If I catch you, I will cut you down!"
Unaware, even his way of the heart was no longer the same, growing impatient and restless.
