With their speed, it didn't take them much time to reach Blue Fur City. They were stunned by the destruction and corpses of both man and animals that littered everywhere. Emperor Zach scanned everywhere with his eyes without a shred of emotion on his face. It was as if the people who died here were not human to him. Instead, his attention was drawn to the pillar of light suspended in mid-air.
Taking in this sight and seeing Emperor Zach's indifference to the situation made Miss Lyla grit her teeth. Her impression of Emperor Zach immediately plummeted. Even the ministers all had different reactions when they saw this gruesome scene. Some experienced shock, some pity, while others also showed indifference. After looking at the beads, Emperor Zach found it familiar but couldn't remember exactly where he had seen it. After pondering about it, it finally clicked in his head, and he immediately shouted out towards his ministers, "That's the Shadow Beads! Fall back!" Upon hearing Emperor Zach's warning, all his ministers immediately scattered in every direction, fleeing because they all knew about the terror of the Shadow Beads, a terrifying artifact that, if exploded, would dissolve anything upon contact.
Just when Emperor Zach and his ministers thought they had escaped, dozens of figures emerged from different corners in Blue Fur City and attacked them with different terrifying powers that caused the whole of Blue Fur City to tremble, as if an earthquake was coming. A terrifying sight to behold. Though Emperor Zach and his ministers might have been caught off guard, they were still powerful hybrids. They still managed to defend themselves against their attackers, even though they were still wounded.
The only two people who were not wounded were Emperor Zach and Minister Smith. The others were wounded, though only slightly. After defending themselves against those powerful attacks, Emperor Zach and his ministers finally got to see who their attackers were. They were covered in black cloaks, except for their heads, where they had a black seal in the shape of a dragon that seemed to be moving, a symbol of the Shadow Order.
There was no doubt that these hybrids were part of the Shadow Order. After confirming that they were part of the Shadow Order, Emperor Zach was the first to attack. The golden robe, which was worn by emperors, turned out to be an artifact. It started glowing gold, and in the blink of an eye, encased Emperor Zach in a membrane. After which, he launched himself at one of the attackers who seemed to be the leader. Then, they engaged themselves in battle.
Seeing their emperor's decisive move, Minister Smith and the others immediately chose their opponents and started battling. Though Blue Fur City had been destroyed, there were still survivors hiding in collapsed buildings or inside their cars, trying to escape this disaster. But the fight between Emperor Zach, his ministers, and the Shadow Order agents proved to be several times deadlier and more destructive than with the possessed hybrids.
The shockwaves produced from their fight were so strong that buildings were being leveled to the ground, and cars were being sent flying before turning into scrap metal. Regular humans who survived the first apocalypse were exploding once the shockwaves hit them. The ground was carving in, and the underground tunnels were now being visible to the outside world. This day was indeed a nightmare in Blue Fur City.
Miss Lyla, who couldn't stand and watch anymore, decided to save as many people as she could. Her hybrid form was a bird, an eagle to be precise. After transforming, she flew into the city and started grabbing people who were still alive. Because of her sharp talons, she minded the way she grabbed them, not to mistakenly kill anyone. Then, because of the shockwaves, she covered them with her wings and then took them far away from Blue Fur City.
Like that, Miss Lyla was able to save a lot of people, both adults, old, and young. After making sure that there were no more people in the north district, she decided to go to the Southern district. But halfway through, there was a massive claw shadow that flew from the Southern district. Though its target was Emperor Zach, if she hadn't trusted her instincts and stopped on time, she would have been hit by that claw shadow.
Meanwhile, Emperor Zach, who had just gained the upper hand in his fight against the Shadow Order agent, even though he hadn't transformed into his hybrid form while his opponent had already transformed.
Emperor Zach was all of a sudden overcome with the feeling of dread, and seeing the claw shadow flying towards him, he had no choice but to go all out. With a yell Emperor Zach transformed into his hybrid form, just before the claw shadow hit him. It turns out that Emperor Zach's hybrid form is a golden lion.
The claw shadow finally struck true, and Emperor Zach was sent flying several kilometers away. But with his golden membrane and tough hide, Emperor Zach was able to survive, but badly injured. He realized that if he did not have that emperor robe, he would have died just now, because with just his tough hide, it was not enough to save him. Except for him and previous emperors, no one knew that that golden robe had the Qi of both ancestors stored inside to act like a shield upon being activated.
