Kid, be careful, this possessed beast has just evolved into the mortal realm, Dean warns Osa. Hearing Dean's voice, Osa channels a lot of his blood aura to his legs and started running, but not in the direction of Blue Fur City. Though these beasts are not powerful, their numbers make up for it, and Blue City would probably be flattened by them before help arrives.
Osa's plan is to use their weaknesses against them, which is the fact that these beasts are slow, except for the mortal realm beast. Osa has to deliberately slow down for the others to catch up. His plan seems to be going smoothly until the mortal realm bat lets out a strange sound, which causes the other bats to stop. Then, a few went after Osa, while the rest, with the mortal realm bat, started flying towards Blue Fur City.
Seeing this, Osa became anxious and started doing everything to get the attention of the mortal realm bat, but the latter did not even listen and started picking up speed. By this time, Osa has no choice but to run to Blue Fur City and warn them of the impending doom. Though faster than even the mortal realm bat, Osa was slowed down considerably because, from time to time, he would be attacked by all the possessed beasts, even the mortal realm bat would also attack him.
Alas, Osa managed to reach Blue Fur City's north district first. He ran to the security building to look for John but found out that John has gone to the orphanage. He could only tell the current security chief about the coming beast horde, but the latter did not believe him, telling him that beasts do not exist here. Osa tried reasoning with him, but he still didn't believe. Osa could only stop wasting his time and ran at top speed towards the Milly orphanage.
Seeing how Osa disappeared from his presence with a gush of winds, the current chief security only had one thought in his head: a hybrid. He was shocked and wondered where such a young hybrid came from and started hesitating. What if the young hybrid is right? Anyway, let's see how the situation goes, he thought, and turned to two of his underlines. He ordered them to go to the city gate and report any suspicious activity to him at first notice.
Meanwhile, Osa was running towards the orphanage at top speed. He knows that he cannot go to the city lord; he wouldn't even be granted an audience with the city lord. He can only pin his hope on John.
At the city gate, two guards stood watch, ordered by the chief of security to be vigilant. One of them raised a telescope to his eye, scanning the horizon for any sign of trouble. But what he saw next left him shocked.
In the distance, a black cloud floated into view. The guard's curiosity turned to alarm as he handed the telescope to his fellow guard. The second guard's eyes widened as he took in the sight. The cloud was drawing nearer, its mysterious presence sending a shiver down their spines.
As the cloud loomed closer, the guards realized with horror that it wasn't a cloud at all - but a swarm of black, winged creatures heading straight for the city. Hundreds of them filled the sky, their intentions clear. Panic set in as the guards scrambled to sound the alarm.
But before they could act, a greenish substance began to rain down on them. The guards watched in terror as those who were hit by the strange rain dissolved into a pool of goo.
As the guard gazed through the telescope, an ash-colored, bat-like creature materialized before him, inducing paralysis. Fear froze him in place, unable to move or cry out for help. He could only watch in horror as a greenish substance rained down, dissolving his body into a quivering pool of goo.
Panic erupted among the surviving guards, who fled in terror. Osa, a few blocks away from the Milly Orphanage, sensed the chaos. With his exceptional eyesight, he spotted the ash-colored creature flying towards the city. He knew it was only a matter of time before everyone else saw it too.
Filled with dread, Osa raced towards the orphanage, his mind racing with ways to ensure the safety of the children and staff. He knew it wouldn't be easy, as they were all ordinary humans with no special abilities. As he ran, he telepathically reached out to Dean, desperate for guidance.
"Dean, how do I protect everyone in the orphanage?" Osa asked, his thoughts laced with urgency.
"I'm not sure, Osa," Dean replied, "but you must get them out of the city. I'll come up with a plan, don't worry."
Osa's heart raced as he pleaded, "But how? I'm not even sure if I can escape!"
Dean reassured him, "Don't worry, kid. I'll find a solution.
Osa banged on the orphanage entrance door, alerting the staff downstairs. They rushed towards him, confusion etched on their faces. But before they could ask any questions, Osa had already disappeared, leaving them shocked.
"John!!" Osa screamed at the top of his voice, racing upstairs. He burst into Mrs. Rose's office, slamming the door open. John emerged, looking confused and astonished.
Without giving John a chance to ask questions, Osa grabbed him and explained the crisis: a flock of bat-like creatures was heading towards the city. Osa urged John to gather everyone in the orphanage; they needed to leave the North District for the South District immediately.
John's expression was skeptical. He didn't understand how Osa had appeared out of nowhere, or what he was talking about. Why were his eyes glowing red, and his hair tinged with red? If there was truly danger, the chief guard would have alerted him by now.
Osa realized John didn't believe him. He needed to convince him quickly. Just then, alarm cries echoed from the streets, and John's communication tool rang, earning a startled gaze from him.
