"why aren't you guys at work" Alex who was quiet all along finally said
"yeah why are you guys here," Grandpa Smith asked
"how can we miss our sister in law first dinner that's not possible now is it" Gift smirked with a raised brow
"why are you guys trying to stop us from having dinner with Emma... First Xavier tricked me into going to work when saying that he's gonna come later now Grandpa and Alex are asking us why we're in our own house....hmmm... Sisters doesn't this sound suspicious..." Light said looking at them suspiciously
"now that you say it. I think they are trying to stop us from spending time with Emma "Gift said supporting Light's theory
"I asked Grandpa yesterday if Alex would come along with Emma today and he said no...I can't believe that he's part of their ploy to keep us away" Treasure added
"you guys aren't supposed to be here..." Xavier wailed
"and why aren't we supposed to be here," Gift asked placing a steak on her plate
"so it's indeed a ploy... I knew it... I knew that you guys were up to no good now spill the beans Xavier" Light said pointing her fork at the boy who looked like he just said something abominable
Emma looked at the family who were chatting happily and smiled she would be a liar if she said that she didn't envy them... All her life it's been just her and her mother... No relatives, No siblings... No father and the truth was that she was indeed happy to be a part of this lovely family... Speaking of family she also wondered who and where Alex's parents were
"They knew that you girls are gonna steal the limelight that was the reason they hid the fact that we were coming for dinner" Alex said expressionlessly while putting a steak in his mouth
"you brat how dare you frame us" Grandpa Smith said with rage in his eyes
"oh... Am I telling lies" Alex raised a brow at Xavier
"Bro why do you have to snitch on us.... You're a man too" Xavier said
Emma and the girls burst out laughing looking at the funny expression on Grandpa Smith and Xavier's faces...
Alex sat there with a neutral face like he didn't do anything wrong
"you'll regret this bro and I'll be happy to see it on your face " Xavier said
"ok ok that's enough let's eat " Treasure said

"Alex..." Alex turned to look at the girl who called him and corrected
"huh" Emma blinked
"you're my wife now... Will you keep calling me sir" Alex asked raising a a brow at the girl who's cheeks turned slightly red at his words

"Is this our Alex..... No this is an imposter Where and when did he learn how to say those cheesy words" Gift asked while covering her mouth dramatically making Treasure laugh
"You are my wife now... Will you keep calling me sir " Light mimicked tugging emmas clothes
Emma's face burned at their remark and she couldn't hide her blush
"why must you guys be so dramatic... You're making my wife blush so Much" Alex said looking at the girl who was holding his jacket tightly he was very sure that if a hole appeared here she wouldn't hesitate to jump in
"you brats... This is the reason I didn't want you punks here....take a look at my granddaughter inlaws face" Grandpa Smith
After she calmed down...Alex looked at her
"what were you saying emerald..." Alex asked
"uhm.... I wanted to ask about your parents" Emma said
"is those two... There on a vacation" Light butted in
"they were supposed to come back this month but they decided to stay for three more months..." Treasure said
"they would be so surprised when they see that Alex is married especially Mum," Gift said
"I can't wait to see her reaction when she sees Jessy... No I mean Emma " Xavier added
"the gold hair and green eyes... Mum is gonna be so happy " Ligt said
Emma sat there without knowing what else to say... She wondered who this Jessy was that they always spoke about her... She had so many questions but she decided to wait since Alex promised to tell her later
After dinner, the girls went to the cinema which was on the top floor... They watched a romance movie which left them in tears
While the men Alex, Grandpa Smith and Xavier played chess in the living room
When the girls were done with their movie they came back to the living room... They chatted for a while and Emma felt so happy that she wanted to stay more with the girls.....
"let's go home, Emma "Alex said
"go where" Treasure feigned ignorance
"you guys aren't going anywhere there's no work tomorrow it's a public holiday and it's Saturday so... We're going on camping" Gift exclaimed
"says who," Alex said
"I told you that you're gonna regret this" Xavier said as he crossed his legs and folded his arms like he was about to watch a good show
Alex looked at him and sighed... The truth was that he was indeed regretting it because these girls didn't even allow him to spend some time with his wife now they won't allow them to go home together
"let's go home, Emma "Alex said curtly looking at Emma leaving no room for rejection
Emma looked at him with a pleading gaze

Xavier and Grandpa Smith couldn't hold it anymore so they burst out laughing
Alex felt tongue-tied as he looked at Xavier and Grandpa Smith laughing at his expression...
"Alright we can stay " Alex said reluctantly...How could he ever say no to that cute expression she gave him... It always gets him every time and it was now that he realized the reason Grandpa Smith and Xavier chose to leave the girls out
