The next day...
Emma woke up by the sound of the doorbell she stretched her hand and grabbed her phone, she looked at the time which said 4:30 and lazily stood up from the bed to open the door
"who's here by this time of the day" Emma complained
She opened the door and saw Stacy standing there in her work clothes
"You're not ready yet Emma? " Stacy asked looking horrified
"chill stay it's just 4:30, "Emma said laughing
"yes I know it's 4:30.... You have to be in the office earlier than the boss and don't forget that you still have a lot of paperwork waiting for you at the office " Stacy said with a worried look on her face
"you're right Stacy that grumpy man shouldn't get to the office before me and I have just today to finish the paperwork I have to finish it before he arrives" Emma said with determination
"come in Stacy "Emma said and dashed into the bathroom to bath
she came out in her work clothes 15 minutes later
"let's go, Stacy," Emma said
"you didn't even dry your hair," Stacy said
"it'll get dried before we get to the office and I brought my comb and oil along " Emma said
Emma locked her door and left with Stacy they got into their different cars and zoomed off
Due to the clear road, they got to the office in 20 minutes and by the time they got to the company it was already 4:50 and immediately parked their cars at the parking lot...
When they walked into the company they were surprised to see that the bodyguard was already there by that time
"good morning Miss Stacy, why are you at work by this time and who is this young lady" the guard asked and looked at Emma's whim he had not seen before
"Hi I'm Emerald Jones, I'm a new employee I'm in the design department and I am the CEO's new assistant" Emma introduced herself
"nice to meet you, Miss Emerald I'm Robert" the guard replied
"Robert, we have some unfinished work that's the reason we came this early..... And I haven't seen you for a long time I hope all is well" Stacy asked
"yeah, I just took some days off to visit my mother," Robert said
"ok " Stacy replied
"gotta go see you around Robert," Stacy said waving to the man
They went into the elevator and Stacy got out at the ninth floor while Emma proceeded to the top floor
"see you later Emma you can do this" Stacy said with a smile
"bye Stacy" Emma replied
When Emma got to the CEO's office she opened her bag took out the card which Daniel had given her the previous day and swiped the card she went into the office and sat down immediately to start her work she was so immersed in the work that she didn't know that she didn't know that it was already 6:45 immediately she finished the last paper she finally came back to her senses and looked at the time she was so happy that finally she finished her work
"Finally! I'm done " Emma said and yawned loudly
"I'll just sleep for 15 minutes before that grumpy man arrives and makes me do some more work" Emma said and placed her head on her desk
A few minutes later the door of the CEO's office opened and Alex came in with Daniel
"she is late again doesn't she learn, " Alex said walking towards his desk
Alex walked straight to his desk not noticing another presence in the office
Daniel looked and saw Emma
"Sir Miss Emma is here already," Daniel said making Alex look towards Emma's desk
"I think she came very early sir" Daniel said
"This is unbelievable, she came to work and she dared to sleep while she still had files to sort out " Alex angrily scolded
Daniel looked at the shelf and looked at the girl with scattered hair sleeping on the desk
'poor girl, she arrived so early to finish her work just to get scolded' Daniel said internally
"sir I think she finished sorting files already the shelf is empty " Daniel said
"huh? She finished sorting out those files" Alex asked looking confused
"Last I remember, the files were still much after she left yesterday night so how is it possible that she finished it, when did she come to work" Alex asked
"sir I'll go and ask Robert immediately, he is on duty," Daniel said
"Do that and when you're coming back get me the footage of my office..... She must have received help from her friend" Alex said
Daniel went out of the office immediately to do as he had been instructed
Immediately after Daniel left, the door of the office opened and Xavier came in with a huge smile on his face
"yhooo! bro how have you been!" Xavier exclaimed earning a fierce glare from Alex who looked at the sleeping girl beside him making Xavier look in the same direction
"Emerald! " Xavier exclaimed making Emma lift her head in shock
Xavier rushed to Emma's side
"Is this you princess, what happened to you"
Xavier dramatically said
"Xavier what are you doing here, how did u find me and why are you in my boss's office... Quick you have to go now before he arrives because my boss is extremely grumpy every morning " Emma said ignoring the chill that ran down her spine when she said those words
"Really? I'm grumpy ?" a beautiful voice said with a cold tone which made Emma's eyes widen in shock and she immediately looked back 'Why on earth am I so unlucky since I set my foot in this company.... ' Emma screamed in her mind
"no sir... I wasn't talking about you" Emma exclaimed
"Really? Then who else is your boss apart from me" Alex asked with a smirk
"uhm sometimes I call my friend boss haha funny right " Emma laughed awkwardly looking at Alex then she turned to Xavier
"boss please leave now you aren't supposed to be here," Emma said to Xavier
"why, can't I be in my brother's office," Xavier asked the girl who was using all her strength to drag him out of the office
"we will talk later Xa... Your what!" Emma asked in shock
"you heard me right he is my big brother" Xavier said
