Emma ate like she had never eaten before and she couldn't help but thank Alex in her mind meanwhile Alex's food was still untouched as he kept typing on his phone he lifted his eyes and glanced at the eating girl and he couldn't take his eyes off her
Emma was so immersed in eating that she didn't notice the eyes on her
She finally finished her food and looked up just to see the boss staring at her... She scratched the back of her head embarrassingly
'I must have eaten like a barbarian.....' Emma facepalmed inwardly
"sir why haven't you started eating," Emma said pointing at the untouched food on the table with her eyes clearly saying
'I'm ready to eat it if you're not hungry'
Alex looked at the girl and chuckled inwardly
"I'm not hungry" Alex said looking at Emma who pleaded with her eyes
He looked at her amusingly
"you can have it if you want" Alex added expressionlessly
"Really?"Emma asked as her eyes shone with a thousand stars
"hmm" Alex replied trying to hold the urge to pull her cheeks
Emma immediately dug in and started eating
'what a foodie' Alex mused looking at the girl with an amused expression on his face
All the girls around him always try to be as conservative and gentle as him not to mention his female business partners.... They eat so slowly... But this girl... She is just another character entirely she isn't like those girls who try so hard to impress him and this makes him unreasonably attracted to her... The only girl that ever made him feel this way was Jessy and although he hadn't gotten more information on her he could feel that this girl was his long-lost first love and her green eyes made him more convinced
He only told Xavier that she wasn't Jessy because he wanted to keep him away from her because.... Well that's a story for another day
'Who knew this grumpy man could be so nice... The food here is so good I wish I could eat here every day but alas the cheapest food here is 60 dollars how could I spend so much money on food' Emma thought inwardly as she kept munching the food nonstop
"eat slowly Emma," Alex said looking at the girl who was eating like the food would fly away in the next minute or her life depended on it....
Emma immediately came back to her senses and she was so embarrassed that she wanted to hide herself.....
Emma finished the food in the next three minutes and they went back to the company

By the time they got back to the company all heads of departments were already sited
Alex sat at the head chair with Emma standing beside him
"is everyone present " Alex asked and they all looked at each other communicating with their eyes 'is he seriously asking that question we've been spotted here for the past 45 minutes' they thought in unison
"yes sir," the head of the planning department said
"great... Now the reason for this meeting is to brief the heads of all departments on my meeting with the dazzling fashion company....." Alex paused and calmly glanced at everyone sited then he continued
"the deal has been sealed... Sparkling Beauty will be participating in the upcoming Star Height competition as Dazzling's partner and for this competition, we can't flop because billions are involved.... Yes the competition is in 6 months and we have to start our preparations now " Alex added
"sir for this to work we need the cooperation of all the employees " Gift said
"yes, you are right Miss Smith... We have a very limited time and we need everyone to work with speed so that this competition can be a success" Alex said
"Mr Bowie I need you to work with your team they should make excellent designs and I need 5 perfect designs on my table at the end of each week.... For the competition, we need 50 designs we have 183 days before the competition which is 26 weeks and since your department has to submit 5 designs each week, we will have a total of 130 designs which only 50 designs are gonna be selected... Then the real work starts from here ... " Alex said tearing his eyes away from Mr Bowie... He looked at Gift who was sitting by the left
"Miss Smith you have to organize your team. At the end of each week, you should come to my office to pick up the submitted designs and you are to select 3 most beautiful designs... And when I say 3 designs should be selected I didn't mean that we should disregard the other two... all designs are important and we are gonna make use of those designs after the competition which would save a lot of work and time and after you select them you will show them to me" Alex said and then he looked at the handsome man who was sitting in front of Gift
"Mr jeff that's where your team comes in... The designs selected by Miss Smith are gonna be submitted to you and you should start the process of making the jewellery....and when you run out of raw materials you should report to me the reason being that Daniel is currently in Korea and he can purchase more gems over there...." Alex said to the head of the production department
"Mrs Kwan you know what to do... When a new batch of gems comes in, you and your team should grade the gems and send the quality ones to mr Jeff for processing and the lower quality gems should be sent to Mr frank..." Alex said to Treasure who was sitting beside Jeff
"the lower quality gems should be sold to other jewellery companies " Alex turned to the head of account and finance
"and don't forget... You should add the shipment fee when selling it... We must recover our losses am I clear...." Alex asked the man who nodded
"sir we need to make an alternative B. The gems from our business partners in Korea might not be enough " Mrs Sarah the head of the human resource department said
"you do have a point there Mrs Sarah..... I will send someone else to Africa to purchase more...once I decide who to send I'll let you guys know..." Alex said.
The meeting was intense and Emma who was putting down the unit could feel it... Now she knew why sparkling beauty was at the top and she suddenly felt determined to help in any way that she could to make this event a success
"Miss Jones you are not left out" Alex said making Emma lift her head from the computer dazedly
"you are to submit two of your designs to Mr Bowie at the end of each week do I make myself clear " Alex asked
"yes sir"Emma replied with determination emitting from her eyes
"Good" Alex replied
"If there are no more contributions the meeting is adjourned " Alex stood up and left the meeting room... Emma closed the laptop and followed him immediately
