James held the Sliquifier in his hand. He smiled. "This is the Sliquifier," James remarked.
"Sliquifier?" Rei asked as she looked at the gun. She thought it looked like Saya`s weapon.
"What makes it special?" Saya asked as she looked at the weapon.
James looked at Rei who was holding the M4W. "Well why don't you try it, Rei?" James said as he handed over the Sliquifier to her.
Rei caught the weapon and held it. She thought it was slightly heavy. "James," Rei remarked. "Give me an advance warning," she added.
"You should always be ready," Saeko responded.
"He threw it at me," Rei responded as she pouted. She put her M4W on her back and held the Sliquifier.
"It does look like a powerful weapon," Jasmine said.
"But Saeko is right, we do need to be ready for anything," Lois said as she looked around.
James walked towards Rei and slapped her butt. There was a sound. "James," Rei said as she looked at James.
"Pervert," Saya said as she looked at Rei getting slapped in the butt. "We should focus," Saya said.
James nodded at the suggestion. "You're right, we should. Let's take the lift upstairs," he responded with a smile on her face.
The girls all gave affirming glances, moving toward the nearby elevator.
"Please tell me this one won't crash down again," Saya muttered as she stepped forward warily.
"Did you not find our last descent exhilarating?" Saeko said with a playful smirk as she stepped onto the lift.
"I'd use other words," Rei deadpanned as she brushed spiderwebs off the lift frame.
"This one's going up. Promise," James said. He tapped the control panel.
They filed into the lift. The interior was dimly lit and tangled with thin strands of web. James stood between Saeko and Saya. He placed his arms across both of their shoulders.
Saeko looked unfazed. A subtle curve played on her lips.
Saya, meanwhile, raised an eyebrow. He better not be getting ideas.
The elevator jolted slightly, then hummed upward. Then doors slid open with a mechanical hiss.
They looked in front of them and saw a cluster of zombies. Their eyes glowed. Their clothes were in taters. Their flesh was falling apart.
"More company," Jasmine said as she got Red Hawk out.
"There is a big one behind him," Lois remarked as she raised her rfile.
They saw a Proto Tyrant T-001 Model. Its appearance was grotesque. It had raw, pulsating muscle stretched over broken bones, Its chest was riddled with twitching red tendons. Its left arm was a twisted blade, while its right hand ended in razor-like claws. Its face was half-exposed bone.
"Him again," Saya grunted.
James didn't waste time. "Rei, shoot the ground," he ordered.
Rei didn't hesitate. She gripped the Sliquifier, aimed low. She pulled the trigger. A thick stream of purple liquid hissed from the barrel. It splattered across the floor and rapidly formed into a frothy, bubbling pool.
One of the zombies staggered forward. As soon as its foot hit the puddle, the zombie slipped violently and smashed into the ground with a thud.
"He slipped?" Jasmine blinked.
"It makes the zombie slip," James explained, just as another undead stumbled into the puddle and skidded straight into the wall.
"Rei, now hit them directly," James commanded.
Rei nodded. She adjusted her aim and fired a direct shot at the group.
The purple substance hit squarely. It coated several zombies before it reacted violently. There was an explosion. Chunks of flesh and bone flew backward, the wall behind them painted in guts and blood.
Then through the smoke, the Proto Tyrant emerged. He was covered in the purple liquid however he charged forward. It let out a low, guttural growl.
"He is not dead," Rei remarked.
The Proto Tyrant lunged forward. He swung its grotesque left arm aiming directly at the girls.
Saeko stepped forward. She raised Slasher and twisted the blade. Saeko intercepted him.
The clash echoed like thunder. Sparks erupted from the point of contact. She held her ground as both feet planted firm against the tremor of impact.
The Proto Tyrant snarled. He pressed harder.
"Not today," she whispered. She had a twisted smile on her face as she twisted her wrist slightly.
James opened the face of the Ultimatrix. He saw the silhouette of a humanoid dinosaur with a broad chest, muscular arm and legs and a long tail. He slammed down the faceplate. His body was engulfed in a brilliant, pulsating light. The air crackled with energy. James' body distorted, his limbs elongated. In a surge of radiant energy, James` features reshape, and his form took on a colossal, imposing stature. His height increased, his limbs became more robust, and his head changed into a massive, reptilian head. "Humungousaur," Humungousaur said as he swung his fist and punched Proto Tyrant in the body.
Proto Tyrant was sent backwards and he hit the wall.
Saya raised her Ray Gun. She looked at Proto Tyrant and fired a pulse of red energy from the barrel. It ripped through the air with searing heat.
The first beam struck the creature square in the face. A chunk of rotting flesh and bone vaporized on contact, exposing sinew and part of the skull beneath. The second shot hit a split second later. It slammed into its right shoulder and tore off a slab of meat.
The Proto Tyrant reeled back.
Lois aimed her M4W. She pulled the trigger and a hail of bullets erupted from the barrel. Each one whistled through the air as it pounded into the charging mutant.
There were rounds striking its arm, leg, and chest. It tore into his exposed tendons and punctured joints. The sheer force drove the Proto Tyrant backwards into the wall.
Jasmine moved in. She raised her Red Hawk. Her eyes narrowed as she looked at the Tyrant's head. She squeezed the trigger. A single bullet sliced forward. It went through the air and hit the center of its face. There was a wet pop, then a violent explosion.
The Proto Tyrant's head detonated into a mess of bone and muscle. The creature's massive form slumped lifelessly to the floor.
"Good shot," Lois remarked.
"Right in the head," Rei added as she looked at his fallen body. She looked at the gun in her hand. "So James, this makes a slippery substance which can make people slip," she added.
"It sounds useful," Saeko responded. "You can slip clothes away," she teased
"Pervert," Saya remarked as she looked at him.
Lois giggled. "He does not need a weapon for that," Lois said.
Humungousaur cleared his throat. "It is a strong weapon which can catch someone off guard if used at the right time," Humungousaur said. He thought about how the conversation went there.
Humungousaur looked around the roof. There was a sign of a large red chinese dragon in the centre of the roof. There were many air conditioning units scattered on the roof. There was a large radio tower near the dragon sign. There were many lifts coming up and down. To the corner there was a large water tank covered in dust and rust.
Jasmine walked forward. She looked next to the remnants of the Proto Tyrant. "Wait... I think I see something," she said. She moved closer to a smoldering pile of wreckage. She saw something emitting an eerie purple glow. A faint plume of smoke curled upward. Jasmine unclipped her Lasso of Submission. She twirled it once before snapping it forward. The golden rope wrapped around the glowing object. She pulled it free from the debris with a metallic tug. She dropped the stone to the ground. It hit with a heavy thud.
Saya squinted. "Is that what I think it is?" she remarked.
"The meteorite?" Lois asked. She stepped closer.
"We can build that table here as well," Humungousaur replied.
Rei looked at him. "Like the one we assembled beneath that massive tower?" she asked.
"Exactly," Humungousaur replied with a nod.
Saeko wandered toward a nearby Chinese dragon. She climbed the angled ramp behind it. She saw something. She leaned down and lifted a worn plank of wood. "Danna-sama, is this the wooden plank?" she asked.
"It is," Humungousaur confirmed. "We're finding all the components remarkably fast," he added with a chuckle.
"These are not hard to spot," Saya replied as she stepped near the old water tower. She bent down and picked up a battered radio, brushing the dust from its side.
Humungousaur turned the corner of the air conditioner unit. He knelt and picked a power lock from a wall. "We've got everything. Let's head to the space beneath the dragon," he called out.
The group gathered in the shadow of the Chinese dragon, where a worn workbench sat on the floor.
"We need to place everything here," Rei said as she watched Jasmine throw the meteorite on top of it.
One by one, they added the plank, the radio and finally the power lock.
"All assembled," Jasmine said.
"Look away all," Lois quickly said.
Suddenly, a flash of light burst from the bench. They heard the sounds of hammers and saws working away.
"Everytime, this light is so bright," Saya commented.
"We have to get used to it," Saeko responded.
Then, the light faded. They looked back and saw an assembled table with a radio and meteorite on top. It glowed faintly.
"Exactly like the one back in Transit," Saya said.
"Pretty much," Humungousaur responded.
"Are they part of the quest?" Rei asked as she looked at the table.
"It is part of a bigger quest," Humungousaur responded. "Our quest will just mean turning on that athena tower," he pointed to.
"How do we do it?" Jasmine asked as she looked at it. She always thought these things looked crazy.
"Follow me," Humungousaur said.
They all nodded and turned the corner of the roof and walked towards the edge of the rooftop. They saw a symbol on the floor.
"What is this?" Rei asked as she looked at the symbol with swirls.
"It is the first part of the Easter Egg," Humungousaur said as he jumped on the symbol. It started to glow as he landed on it.
"It is glowing," Jasmine said as she looked at the symbol.
"Does it mean it has turned on?" Saya asked.
Humungousaur looked at the glowing symbol. He thought they all had to be pressed before they glowed. He thought the rules might be different however it was working in their favour. "That was the first step completed," he said.
"One down," Saeko said.
"How many steps are there?" Saya asked.
At that moment, a lift came up. The doors opened up. They saw a yellow machine with blue front panels. There was a logo in the centre which read, "Who`s Who." A bottle symbol appeared on the left panel. There was a white life preserver ring with bold red stripes.
"I was talkin' to myself just the other day, I was hearin' lots of things I never thought I'd say, but one thing I said really blew my mind," the machine said.
"Is that?" Rei asked.
Humungousaur went forward and grabbed the machine and pulled it out of the lift. There was a loud creaking sound as the metal skidded. Humungousaur pulled the machine out. "It is Who`s Who," he said.
"Who?" Jasmine asked.
