Yan Ke kept chattering nonstop, but no one paid her any attention. As Yan Ke stepped out, she saw a man in black standing under the eaves by the door, the same man who had just served them tea. Seeing Yan Ke come out, he bowed respectfully.
"What's your name?" Yan Ke's eyes darted around as she decided to take a roundabout approach.
"I am called Hu Sheng," the man in black replied respectfully.
"What is this place?"
The man in black pressed his lips together but remained silent.
Yan Ke waved her hand, realizing she wouldn't get anything out of him, and strode to the door. Two men in black guarded the entrance. As soon as he appeared, they bowed respectfully: "The master has instructed that the young master must not step out of the courtyard."
So, they were being confined here.
