Point out mistake please
I kind of forgot whether or not monsters immediately stopped spawning after the floors they spawn on but in mine they do, however, monsters do traverse between 1-2 floors from the one they spawn on so they can still sometimes be run into.
________
Witnessing the end of the fight I couldn't help but smile a little. Things are already vastly different from how they should be.
"Well look at you two working together, not what I was expecting when I got here." I said a little loudly as I walked closer to them.
Bells head instantly whipped around to look at me "Camellia!"
"You became and adventurer too then." Ravian said a little surprised.
"Bell, Ravian, It's nice to see you guys again. Did you two join the same familia?" I asked, I just want to know really, in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter much.
"Nope, I got into the Ganesha familia. Apparently the guards from our caravan knew some people and I was able to get a recommendation." Ravian answered, clearly proud of his accomplishment.
"And I joined the Hestia familia like you said, it took a while to find her but after asking around I managed." Bell answered right after.
So Ravian got lucky and Bell followed what I said, epic.
"So how'd you guys manage to meet up? Was it a coincidence?" I asked, my moneys on coincidence.
Nodding Bell said "Yeah, we ran into each other while descending the stairs from Babel"
And Score!!
"Speaking of Babel, I'm gonna have a word with that shop keeper about that sword when we get back." Ravian said
Following his eyes I see Bell holding a sword with cracks at the center of the blade spreading outwards towards the tip and base.
"He said it wasn't as sharp but much sturdier than regular blades, one bite and it cracked like that." He shook his head in disappointment.
The fact a beginners weapon took a bite from one of those in the first place is….
"Well, I wouldn't give the guy too much flak. He doesn't make the swords does he? Just the shop keeper going off details the maker gave him. And in all fairness, most other beginner swords would've just shattered altogether" I told him.
Beginner equipment is mostly made out of regular copper, iron, and sometimes steel. A direct powerful strike from a monster or even adventurer with C-B rank strength would likely break one of those.
Until you start getting monster material equipment or higher tier metals expect stuff to break pretty often.
"Well, tha-"
*Squelch*Crack!
his response was quickly cut off by the sound of monsters being birthed around us.
I guess it doesn't want us just standing around.
From the walls 16 kobolds, 4 Alpha Kobolds, and 6 dungeon lizards burst through.
Oh wow, a monster party!
"A Monster party!?" The girl behind me screamed
The two boys faces looked concerned and their eyes shifted to Ais. They didn't know who she was but could tell she was definitely a higher leveled adventurer. They were already tired from their last fight and knew they couldn't outrun the Alpha kobolds.
"There's no need to look so worried guys, just get a little closer to me real quick. I'll take care of it." I said not worried at all.
Ais walked over to me, about a half arms length distance. The boys had strange expressions, Ravian more so than Bell. Bell looks like he has some idea of what I'm going to do since he was on the wagon. Ravian on the other hand had no idea.
But watching Ais walk over to me they quickly followed.
"What are you gonna do?" Bell asked curiously.
"You'll see." I answered
First I let out my wires, guiding them, I formed a bird cage like barrier around us. Several of the regular kobolds ran in on their own, launching themselves at the cage then proceeding to get cut apart as their bodies hit it.
"Grawao" one of the Alpha Kobold barked what seemed like an order and the regular kobolds back away from the cage. 4 died from jumping at the cage.
The kobolds and lizards surrounded us and waited.
Are they trying to wait out my mana or something? Interesting.
Clenching my hands together I created a crimson orb of my destruction and expanded it to around the size of a watermelon. As I finished forming it, I tossed it upwards at the top of my birdcage.
"Aaand Pop~" I said out loud.
The sphere I tossed popped like a balloon releasing hundreds of crimson needles flying in all directions.
The monsters who thought themselves safe as long as they didn't touch the cage weren't prepared at all, though they wouldn't have been able to do anything anyway.
The regular kobolds and the dungeon lizards fell first, the needles tearing through them with ease. The Alpha kobolds on the other hand mostly survived, they managed to stop the needles from digging through their vitals but they all had several holes punched through their limbs and crimson needles sticking out of their bodies.
Here comes the finale!
"And art is an explosion!" I exclaimed a smile sliding its way across my face.
*Boom!
The crimson needles exploded, completely annihilating the Alpha Kobolds. The only remaining evidence of them being the eye witnesses to the destruction committed.
Clapping my hands my wires deconstructed from its birdcage shape and returned to me.
Silence was what followed, Ravian's eyes were as wide as eyes could physically open, shock may be an understatement for his expression.
Bell was also surprised but not the same extent.
"Your already so strong…" Bell said his tone slightly self deprecating.
"The monster we just struggled to beat… several taken out in seconds… what in the world is this?" Ravian said
"To put it simply it was something I was born with. Don't try to compare yourself to what I can do, my ability is far too abnormal for that." I replied adding the last part for Bell, I don't want to ruin the beans confidence after all.
"You know what.. I'm just not gonna question it. I'm good with what I have." Ravian said with shrug choosing not to think to hard about it.
That's the best choice.
"So you guys are heading back up at least a few floors right? Can you take her with you?" I asked showing them the girl.
"I have been wondering who she was." Ravian said.
"Just someone I ran into on the way here, the person she was with died so she followed me. I'm heading deeper and I doubt she wants to follow me." Looking her way I give her an asking expression, and with her pretty aggressive head shake I got my answer.
"Sure, I don't see why not." Bell answered almost instantly.
"Well, there are indeed a few reasons not to but I think it'll be fine." Ravian replied.
Alright!
"Alright thanks, I'll repay this favor later." I said.
I'm sure a spell will be more payment than they'd ever expect. Though I'll have to test Ravian first, or figure out a way to give magic without having to bestow it directly. Maybe like a grimoire.
.
.
.
.
wait!! I can just make grimoires! I have that one thing that's a part of my skill right?
What a genius I am.
"Oh! Did you end up joining the Loki familia?" Bell asked me curiously.
"Yep, she couldn't help but accept me"
"…Why am I not surprised." Ravian said with a shake of his head.
"Anyways, we should start moving before we get swarmed again." I said
"True"
"Yeah"
____
The 5th floor didn't have any new monsters just a light change. Literally, all that changed was the light blue lights and walls was now the green lights and brown walls.
We ran into I ran into the same Rabble of alpha kobolds, kobolds, goblins, and dungeon lizards. All which went out in my usual method of slicing to bits.
The 6th floor though did have a a whole new set of monsters, from information I remember and from Ais, the most common monsters on these floors are the frog shooters, war shadows, and killer ants. Although, the killer ants don't appear much until the 7th floor, which from there they are the main monster.
The frog shooters were sorta weird, Unlike their name would imply, they don't shoot frogs, they don't really shoot anything unless you count their tongue.
That isn't really why they're weird though, they seem to use their tongues as their main attack but they aren't particularly strong or fast, like, at all. I even let one hit me and while it hurt quite a lot it didn't really do anything else. However, its body is quite large which leads me to believe that it was intended to act more like the dungeon lizards where it would use its large body to smother and crush their opponents, but they seemed to have been too stupid to realize that.
.
.
What a failure.
Next were the war shadows, and they were just as cool as I imagined them to be. Lanky, thin, pure black humanoid entities. They had this white glass like thing on their faces that if broken would cause them to instantly die. They could be killed the regular way by just attacking their bodies but the glass thing seems the most optimal.
I totally get why these are called newbie killers, these things are fast. They are capable of extending and retracting their limbs at will, not only that, they could contort and turn them at will as well. Though contorting and turning were to a much lesser degree.
I could keep up with 1 for the most part but anymore than that and it was a bit of a struggle. Unfortunately, when several decided to jump me at once I had to resort to overwhelming them with my wires. I do plan to raise all my physical stats to at least C before leveling up but that may be a pipe dream with my skill set. I may have to find a way around this or just level up high enough where the natural boosts puts me high enough.
Should I just become a glass canon? I'm seriously contemplating it…
I don't like pain and don't plan to get hurt, and I'm not like other mages who need to chat to fire off spells or even to cast defensive magic. And I don't remember anything that specifically negated magic in this world. Even if there are things that stop someone from specifically using mind/mana my power of destruction is specifically a type of energy that is created from mana, not mana itself, so would it even work?
I remember that the juggernaut repels magic or something like that…. I'll think on this later.
Moving on, the killer ants weren't nearly as worthy of their title, at least not for me. They have the newbie killer title due to their hard carapace and ability to call allies but for me, someone who has an attack that ignores durability as long as the energy is high enough, it didn't really do anything.
Thinking about it now, monsters in this world don't seem to have any sort of magic resistance, yeah there outer layer gets harder and those types of things but not many monsters are inherently resistant to magic specifically. If there are, they aren't mentioned much.
Right now, it's just based on how much energy it would require to erase what I'm trying to erase, and as of now I've barely had to use much at all. I had purposely "dulled" the needles so I could make them explode in a more flashy way.
At this rate there won't be anything that I will need to use a significant amount of energy for until maybe the middle floors. Even then…
….should I start lowering my output even more? Just defeating monsters gathers regular excelia, while effort required does increase the amount gathered I'll still get stats by just farming monsters. However if things continue like this I'll never gather high-quality excelia. Maybe I can find a different way to get it.
"Gaaaaah! This is so frustrating!" I shouted out stomping in a killer ant corpse.
"No! I'm just going to keep going as I have and just let it flow! I'll be damned before I start limiting myself!"
Consequences be damned, I'm going all in whatever happens, happens.
____
We quickly made it past the 7th floor tuning into nothing but killer ants with only a few purple moths flying here and there. Their poison specifically only works if it's spread over you multiple times…making it essentially useless against anyone with range.
The 8th floor not being much different just mostly just a whole load of ants, like waaaaay too many damn ants. I found nothing else on this floor, they may have literally just taken over or something. Different species monsters do attack each other sometimes.
9th floor was different however, I ran into some needle rabbits cute little guys, they were literally just normal rabbits with horns. Very aggressive, stabby rabbits, but rabbits nonetheless. Unfortunately I couldn't spare them so I just sever their heads when they popped up.
"Should I stop here?" I asked mainly to myself, it also being a rhetorical question I already knew the answer to.
"Are you feeling tired?" Ais asked
Am I?
"Physically yeah, but not to the point where I feel I can't keep going." I answered
My mana on the other hand was doing just fine, with my regeneration speed and my increased efficiency, unless I use a big move I can keep going probably all day.
Which speaking about big moves, and haven't made one for myself yet. Maybe I should make one.
"Then just keep going until you feel like you can't anymore" she said simply. "That's what I used to do, it worked pretty well I think."
You look a little lost at that last part Ais.
Shrugging I just went with it "We'll head down to the twelfth floor then head back up."
We have been down here a while though, and we've only gone down 9 floors. We may not have been going full speed but I can't imagine how long it takes to reach the lower floors. How do they even have supplies remaining after going so low? They make expeditions with like several dozen people if I'm not mistaken. Maybe I should find a portal spell in this memory of mine. Later though.
Taking a few more steps a group of ants instantly rounded the corner charging directly at us.
Do they leave those pheromones on us or something?
As they charge I simply set up my wires in their running path. As they ran they didn't see the wires and didn't stop so they ran directly into them, their bodies were unceremoniously cut in half.
I wonder if they have a queen or something. It was never mentioned in canon but it would be pretty cool.
**
Beginning to run we rushed through the rest of the 9th floor quickly finding the stairwell to the 10th where we were met with a different area altogether. Instead of cave tunnels, it's a wide open area covered in heavy mist.
The first monsters we ran into were Orcs, which unlike the kobolds look just as they do in most other worlds. Well, for the most part. Pig heads, a huge, fat but also muscular look, alongside being green. Which is a bit strange again, usually when they give them the pig heads they use other colors like natural pig colors and such. But, when they make them green they usually are just goblins but bigger. These guys are basically just a combination of both types of orcs used across worlds.
I say all this just to wrap all four in my wires and cut them to ribbons.
Continuing on our path we encountered some needle rabbits and Imps fighting each other, the needle rabbits were losing badly. Three of the five had their horns ripped out and were being attacked with it by the imps. Each imp held one horn jumping around the two rabbits who still had horns playfully stabbing at them.
On of the still horned rabbits locked its legs and jumped powerfully at one of the imps. It's strike landed true, skewering the imp straight through the chest.
It was a sight I didn't really expect to see.
"Constrict, the unbreakable chain created through impossibilities, become the divine seal even the God-Slaying Wolf could not resist."
A Crimson orb formed within my hands
"Gleipnir!"
Firing the orbit hovered over the group of monster then exploded into chains, wrapping around their limbs and locking them in place.
I stared at them for a bit not sure why I decided to simply chain them up.
.
.
.
Flexing my hand I exploded the chains erasing the monsters altogether.
Why did I do that?
.
.
.
I looked down at my hands, clenching and unclenching them confused at my own actions.
.
.
.
"AAAAAGGG" a scream of pain shocked me out of my thoughts, my head shooting up from my hands at the sound.
A very timely distraction.
Heading over to the scream I bore witness to a man getting ripped in half by 3 orcs. One held his legs and one held his upper torso, the other one was trying to participate grabbing onto one of the guys arms.
"A solo adventurer?" I said a little confused, running solo this deep is interesting.
The dude was already dead so I didn't really see a reason to rush to help.
Ais shook her head "His equipment is gone."
Looking closer I noticed it too, no sword or other weapon in sight, no sheath, no armor, not even a bag for magic stones. All he had on was some clothes.
Sending out my wires I swiftly severed the heads of the orcs there bodies dropping to the floor not even realizing what happened.
Walking over to the ripped apart human I rolled him onto his torso and cut off the back of his shirt.
On his back was a falna with the appearance of two goblets toasting.
"Soma familia." Ais said as the falna was revealed.
"I wonder what happened? Don't these guys only team up with people in their own familia?" I wondered, I knew these guys were pretty ruthless even towards their own members but I didn't think they'd leave them for dead just like that. I thought lili was just an exception.
Ais who was looking at the details of the falna, as she could read hieroglyphs said "He's level 2 and has a strange development ability called luck. I've never seen it before."
"How strange, now I'm really curious about what happened." I said.
Standing back up I wondered what to do now, I'd feel kind of bad just leaving the body but I'm not going to move with it and since he's in the Soma familia he's probably done some terrible stuff.
"Meh." Shrugging I created a small platform and loaded his body onto it.
On this floor there are tallish rock formations out of that's out of the way and it's unlikely for any monster that isn't an imp to reach.
Placing him up on the tallest one I can find I left it at that. Either he gets eaten by imps or the dungeon consumes him.
Continuing on our journey, we eventually found the path to the next floor and as we got there we could already hear a commotion.
"Infant dragon! Everyone get away!"
Various shouts came in turn but one stood out amongst the rest
"No, think about! This our chance to level up, it's alone and there's no other monsters nearby!"
Silence followed his shout.
____
It's been 5 hole years since they started adventuring together, each of them individually having already spent several months to a year solo or with other parties.
And in that time none of them have Been able to level up. All stuck at level 1 slowly raising their stats but that was it. They'd all already shot past the prerequisite of having at least 1 D-rank stat.
When they heard their leaders words they all stopped for a moment, this was indeed their chance. The infant dragon is a level 2 monster, meaning it was stronger than them, individually and as a party.
However, with their current stats the difference shouldn't be so large that it's an impossible victory.
If they are able to kill it at least one of them will gain the qualifications to level up. They looked at each other and nodded.
"All right Simon, we're in." A blonde man said.
The now named Simon let out a breathe and smiled.
"Good, the plan will be a bit different this time. Firstly, Lenard and I will be the vanguard, we'll take it from the front."
The blonde man from before nodded at his words holding up his spear in readiness.
"Secondly, Yarld will take its back and underside, make sure it can't use its tail properly and that it can't focus on just Lenard and me."
A fully bald man nodded next his shield and lance ready.
"Next Trell, your job remains the same, hit it with arrows and find times to use that skill of yours. Give it hell."
A brown haired woman nodded, she clenched her bow slight anxiety seeping through, though she quickly crushed it. Her quiver was very sparse.
"And lastly, Chloe prepare your spell and time it for anytime it goes for it's fireballs, interrupt it as much as you can."
A ginger haired girl nodded holding her wooden staff closely.
His plan was simple, and with that they were ready.
Getting into position they all fully prepared, trell climbed a pillar to stand on.
Chloe stood close by to that pillar so she could have protection from any monsters that may come by, even though that is unlikely with the infant dragons so close by.
The three males stood together behind the monster, just out of its tails range.
"Ready…"
Trell notched an arrow
The guys prepared to dash in.
"Steady…"
Simon and Lenard crept forward silently, passing its tail and stopping just before the underbelly.
"Go!"
The arrow flew from the bow hitting the dragon directly in the middle of the back of the neck. It pierced, but ever so slightly, it could barely be called a flesh would.
Simon and Lenard charge in and underneath the dragon. Raising his sword Simon cut into its underbelly drawing a large bloody line all the way to its front.
Lenard did the same, raising his spear and stabbing repeatedly as he ran.
Yarld ran up and stabbed his lance into the tails base breaking through the scales and penetrating it.
GUAAAARG" it roared in pain at the simultaneous attack.
In stomped underneath itself as that's where it'd felt the most pain, missing the two guys by only an inch.
It whipped its tail wildly not really sure where to aim, Yarld ducked low dodging the wild tail.
Looking around it quickly noticed Simon and Lenard and in anger instantly started charging its fire breath.
"Chloe!" Simon shouted.
"Be quick, be swift, be precise, be accurate. Strike true with the sound of thunder. Lightning Javelin!"
Her chant finished quickly, a javelin made out of lightning formed and shot forward at blinding speeds, hitting the dragon directly in the jaw, puncturing it.
"GUAAAAARRRRRRG" its roar was a guttural sound as its mouth was electrocuted. Its head jittered wildly the fire ball it was charging releasing as a weak wave of fire into the air.
At the scene the party had one conclusive thought, 'We can do this!'
However, they didn't become overconfident. They got one good opening strike, the battle is far from over.
The dragon quickly calmed down the lightning javelin dissipating and releasing it from the intense shocks. Its eyes refocused, nothing but rage inside them.
"GUOOOOOO" letting out a roar it charge at the duo of Zweihander and spear who backed further away to avoid it tantrum while being electrocuted. Its tail flailing wildly making sure whatever was behind it couldn't hit it easily.
"Dodge!" Simon shouted
They both ran separate ways, one left, one right.
None of them could take a direct hit, not even their tank Yarld. That's why he was put on back duty, he wasn't agile enough to get out of attack range.
The dragon whipped its head at the dodging Lenard, choosing him as the target.
"GAH!"
The dragons head whip grazed Lenard's back, ripping off the back of his clothes and armor, alongside leaving a gash across his entire back, although it was a shallow one. His light, monster material steel mix didn't stand a chance.
Lenard lost his footing at the force of the blow, falling to the ground. He quickly clambered to get back up but by the time he did the monster already went in for a bite.
"Shit!"
An arrow flew, hitting the infant dragon again in the same spot at the back of its long neck, piercing deeper and lodging itself in.
The pain made it jolt its head slightly, allowing Lenard to dash out of the path of its bite.
"Thanks for the save Trell!" Lenard shouted, running back over to Simon to regroup.
The infant dragon stared them down, though it wasn't intelligent by any means it could recognize that this wasn't advantageous for it. Its eyes shifted to the two others by the pillar, its neck could easily reach the height of the stone meaning that, the one up there was still in striking distance.
The other nearby the pillar doesn't seem to have done anything, though that was all it could discern.
In its distracted "thinking" it suddenly felt an intense stabbing pain on its tail.
"GUAAAAAG" it roared loaded but as it tried to swing its tail it realized that it couldn't swing the right side of it like it used to and it hurt whenever it tried.
"I cut some muscle and tendons over here! it won't be able to use its tail effectively anymore!" Yarld shouted
The infant dragon turned towards him, instantly swinging its head at him as fast as it could.
The others watch it in what seemed like slow motion, the hard upper part of the dragons head hit Yarld's raised shield. Instantly, it crunched and contorted, folding into itself. The force continued into his arm, it folded unnaturally, the bones breaking like a hammer to glass.
His body flew across the air for a extremely long second falling slower that physics should allow. Once he did touch down however, his body slid and flipped across the ground. Completely motionless
The dragon no longer had any patience, not giving them any breathing room, it started charging its fireball again intending to finish off the one it had hit away.
This time however, it created a small amount of distance, making sure all opponents were visible.
Though, it had to be quick, its flames leaked out of the puncture wound in its jaw.
And thus, this time it actually saw what interrupted its fireball.
It didn't know what it was of course, but its intuition concluded that it was the only answer. It made a quick decision, turning its focus, it quickly fired its unstable fireball at the human charging up whatever attack had hit it.
The fireball wasn't going to kill, but it had come to the conclusion that the human couldn't do the attack rapidly since its only been used once so far.
Trell saw the attempt instantly and shouted
"Chloe! Fire the spell, its aiming for you!"
Chloe of course also noticed, though, just a bit later.
Firing the spell instantly, it flew true, piercing through the wobbly mess of a fireball and flying directly into and piercing the throat of the infant dragon, electrocuting it once more.
"Lenard go check on Yarld, I'll keep in the front." Simon said his voice concerned.
"Alright, you better be careful, see what one hit did to him. Imagine what it would do to you." Lenard answered back running off towards Yarld.
The dragon recovered much quicker this time from the electrocution, its eyes now focused on Chloe.
It didn't really know how to go about it, it needed to get rid of her but the others are still there. It was injured and bleeding heavily from various locations, and it had only managed to get one of them.
"…It's ignoring me" Simon whispered to himself, a smile gathered onto his lips. He didn't have another opportunity to attack yet and it was leaving itself wide open.
He slowly sneaked his way out of the dragons peripheral.
The dragons head shifted as it remembered he was still close by by as it turned its head an arrow flew hitting the exact same spot a third time.
The arrow dug even deeper this time As it ran all the way through the previous arrow that was there, lodging even deeper inside.
It sent a jolt of pain through the dragon, making it turn its head back towards the two women.
But just as quickly as it raised its head, it felt another jolt of pain on its right front-leg.
"I got an Artery!" Simon shouted quickly running from underneath the dragon.
Blood burst from the wound he created, completely unlike all the other wounds so far. If he had to compare them it would be like the a faucet compared to a waterfall.
"GRUOOOOOH!!"
It's heart pounded violently causing even more blood to gush from the wound. It didn't know what was going on at all just knew that the human did something to it and needed to die.
Its body shifted quickly, its head instantly shooting towards Simon ready to bite down on him.
In that same instant it was hit with another arrow in the same spot for the 4th time, but this time it completely ignored it, the pain completely irrelevant now to what it's already feeling.
'I'm not gonna make it!!' Simon thought, his eyes widen terror.
His thoughts slowed and his life flashed before his eyes. And in this moment, he could say he the only regret he has is that he won't get to see his party level up.
He didn't care if he dies here today, if he lived for even a day longer knowing that he had a chance to level up and didn't take it, he would've never been able to stop thinking about it.
His eyes closed in acceptance, he knew there was no way out.
.
.
.
.
"Huh?" He questioned, he still hadn't felt anything so he reopened his eyes.
"The hell is this?" He questioned as he saw a large crimson barrier like thing surrounding him.
He could see the infant dragons large maw attempting to bite the barrier but simply being unable to.
While Simon sat in confusion another arrow flew through the air, hitting the same spot once more but this time instead of simply embedding further it flew all the way through, piercing from the back all the way through the scales of the dragon to the front of its throat, leaving a gaping hole that also began to bleed heavily.
Then shortly after that a Javelin made of lightning zipped through the air piercing the side of the dragons head, it was far weaker and didn't electrocute it much. Then Lenard came along as well, having climbed the dragons body. Wanting some participation rewards he stabbed his spear into the dragons eye.
The infant dragon simply couldn't hold out any longer, the blood loss, injuries, and electrocution all getting to it.
"Guoooo"
And with one final weak growl it's body fell to the side, dead.

"Congratulations on your guys Victory!" A voice called out clapping.
________
Hello everyone this one took me a bit mainly because of the fight. Tell me how it was, fights are annoying but also interesting and one of my favorite things to read. Also, it's pretty funny to see how fights go for someone like Camellia in comparison to regular adventurers.
Alright so something I want to specifically say about her Power of Destruction and the monsters in Danmachi.
PoD can't be countered by regular magic resistance so even that rock monster made of magic resistance material would be insta killed.
In DxD it's An attack that destroys everything and anything even souls and consciousness itself, alongside this it's an ability that is described as the only real way to defend against it is to not get hit by it in the first place so by using your own attacks to push it off course or to make it destroy that instead.
Unfortunately for the monster in Danmachi, very few monsters have anything like this, most monsters don't even have range in general. I tried to nerf it a bit to require more energy for what needs to be destroyed but yeah that also doesn't really matter until much lower floors as monsters up until the middle floors can still be injured by just regular material weapons.
Don't get it twisted though, if she straight up just went down to the lower floors she's pretty likely to die because the monsters that low are just really fast and she wouldn't be able to react in time, only way she would is if she set everything up before hand, which she obviously would but that's not the point.
This however has also lead to a problem, you gather high-quality excelia by fighter stronger opponents and struggling. The way I comprehend it is that it's a combination of both that leans in favor of the struggle. However, for her, no monster in the upper and middle floors even level 2 ones are going to make her struggle, so she won't gain much if any high-quality excelia.
This is essentially the restriction I decided to put to balance things even if it's just by a little bit. If I let her gain high-quality excelia by just beating strong bosses and other stuff this story would end at like chapter 30 because she would really get that strong. So instead, she'll have to find another way to gain high-quality excelia.
Here's a little hint, she already has some.
Anyways, I'll be updating Ophis then I'll be uploading the new chapter and fixes to Existence. See you all next time.
