The Monster Spider lunged, its ten legs striking the ground at once and launching its enormous body forward with terrifying speed. Its claws spread wide as it aimed directly for Lackey's throat, moving with enough force to tear through flesh and bone.
Lackey's pupils narrowed as he stepped sideways. The first claw passed inches from his face, and he twisted his torso just enough to allow the second claw to slide across his shoulder before driving his elbow downward.
BAM!
His elbow slammed into the Monster's forelimb with a heavy impact. The force pushed the limb downward, but Lackey immediately realised something was wrong.
It barely moved.
The Monster's body twisted unnaturally in midair, and another leg came sweeping toward his ribs. Lackey ducked as the limb grazed over the tip of his black hair, missing his head by barely an inch.
The spectators clenched their fists in disappointment, as if they hadn't expected him to react this fast.
