Seeing their companion Blueno casually knocked down by Conis, neither of them was about to stand by and do nothing.

Kaku instantly rushed toward Conis and threw a punch, while Rob Lucci launched a slashing wind blade toward her with a kick.
Neither of them knew why Conis had appeared here or what her objective was.
However, they knew she was extremely powerful.
Otherwise, there was no way an elite CP9 agent like Blueno would have gone down from a single touch.

"That's probably exactly what she is," Rob Lucci replied grimly.
As World Government agents, Rob Lucci and Kaku naturally knew about some of the more formidable Devil Fruits.
The Rumble-Rumble Fruit was among them.
"Damn it. If she's a Rumble-Rumble Fruit user, we're in serious trouble."
Kaku frowned as he stared at Conis.
Although he was confident in his own strength, he did not believe he could currently handle a Logia user.
"Tell me, why are you attacking us? We shouldn't know each other."
"We've never had any grudges against one another, so there's no need to cause trouble for us."
Kaku addressed Conis.
Since he was uncertain whether they could deal with her, he naturally hoped Conis would refrain from attacking them.
They still had a mission to complete.
If their mission failed because of Conis, that would be a serious problem.
"Now that I think about it... maybe I came to cause trouble for you precisely because you're CP9 agents."
Conis smiled.
"How do you know?"
Kaku exclaimed in shock.
Rob Lucci frowned.
"Since you already know we're CP9 agents and still dare attack us, aren't you afraid the World Government will come after you?"
Although Rob Lucci had no idea how Conis knew their identities, he could only try using CP9's status to pressure her.
After all, even he understood how difficult Logia users were to deal with.
And the woman before them possessed the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, one of the fastest and most destructive Logia powers.

"Could Arton have sent this woman here to cause trouble for us?"
While Rob Lucci and Kaku spoke with Conis, Kalifa was also thinking about the specific reason Conis had come here.
There was no connection between Conis and these CP9 agents.
Kalifa did not believe for a second that Conis had simply happened to find them.
Considering that Arton was a transmigrator who roughly knew the plot of this world, Kalifa had reason to believe he had called Conis over.
As for why Arton would send Conis to attack CP9, Kalifa thought it was very possible that in the original game's storyline, CP9 had done something unfavorable to one of Arton's current companions.

If CP9 had ever harmed one of Arton's companions, she would not find that surprising at all.

Kalifa frowned even more tightly.
As for fighting Conis, she did not believe she could do it.
Even though Conis was not one of the strongest members of Arton's crew—and might even count as one of the weaker ones—Kalifa still did not believe she could defeat her.
Never mind Conis's Serval mold. The power of the Rumble-Rumble Fruit alone placed her beyond Kalifa's ability to handle.

"Sorry. Even though you're CP9 agents, that won't stop me from knocking you down."
Conis shook her head at Rob Lucci.
"There's really nothing to discuss?"
Rob Lucci frowned.
"Nothing to discuss."
Conis smiled.
"Why?"
Kaku widened his eyes. He still wanted to reason with her.
Rob Lucci, however, shook his head at him.
"Forget it. That woman's gaze is extremely determined."
"It's like she received an order from someone."
"Talking to her is pointless. She'll continue attacking us without hesitation."
As he spoke, Rob Lucci activated his Devil Fruit ability and transformed into his leopard-man form.
Even after transforming, however, Rob Lucci did not feel much safer.
The pressure Conis placed on them was simply too great.
"This really is troublesome."
Kaku sighed and prepared himself for battle as well.
As Rob Lucci's companion, he trusted Lucci's judgment.
However, even with Rob Lucci beside him, Kaku had absolutely no confidence that they could defeat Conis.
As for running away?
