The three men glanced at each other, just to be sure they weren't seeing things.
"She's here…?" Nikolai was confused.
And so was Roman.
Yuri was the one who seemed to smile. He glared at both of them. "See? I told you that she would come around. Vera would never betray Caesar. Have you forgotten she was once in love with him? She couldn't betray someone she used to love."
Nikolai seemed skeptical.
Roman on the other hand seemed unconvinced.
Normally, he could understand why Yuri was unwilling to accept that something was fishy, but he was a man whose instincts were strong, and his gut instincts had never failed him since the incident with Caesar.
Something was definitely off with Vera and it didn't feel good. He could almost smell the trouble.
Yuri got up with a big smile on his face and made his way over to Vera.
"Hey!" he seemed excited to see her again.
Vera stilled, going frozen.
