Vera shook her head.
"No." She said, "I haven't spoken to him since the accident."
"Good. That means he trusts you, right?"
"Yes. I'm his adoptive cousin after all. He trusts me fully."
Mr. Petrov put his gun back into his holster and ran his fingers through his gray hair as he smirked. "Then you're going to do something for me."
"Go back to Caesar like you normally would. Report useless information to him and pretend like you're still an ally of his. Make it believable enough and find out whatever you can for me. I want you to report everything about him to him, every single thing."
Of course, Vera was reluctant, but she didn't let it show on her face, nodding at him. "I'll do it."
"Good, good, good. This is good."
He nodded, heavily satisfied.
"But that's not all."
She met his eyes. "W-what do you mean?"
