"You don't have to question her like this on the very first day you finally meet her face to face again," Yuri added. "That's not nice at all."
"Are you seriously lecturing me, Yuri?" Roman seemed annoyed. "Can't you see it, or are you just blind? There is something she's not telling us and—"
Nikolai pulled his arm.
He snapped over at him. "What?"
"Yuri is right," Nikolai said. "Let's not make a scene. I'm sure she'll tell us when she's comfortable enough to do so."
"Really?" Roman sounded irritated.
Nikolai nodded. And then smiled at Vera. "Don't mind him, Vee. He's a bit out of it today. Woke up on the wrong side of the bed, that sort of thing."
"Oh," was all she could give as a response.
This wasn't good.
Roman was obviously suspecting her.
"Are you two dating?"
That question snapped him out of his thoughts and he looked at Vera. "What?"
Vera grinned.
"You two are dating right?"
"What do you mean by that?" Nikolai asked. "D-dating? Me and this thing?"
