The news spread like wildfire across the Grand Line.
The Straw Hat Pirates, alongside the current hot topic of the six seas Yuta, had managed to defeat Big Mom and her entire crew on Cake Island. It wasn't just a rumour—confirmed reports from frightened survivors, half-sunk ships, and trembling den den mushis made it clear: Big Mom was down.
An image of her defeated image was out in the papers in full display. And honestl,y it would have been suspicious if even more explicite images news wouldn't come out later on since Morgan himself was present there during when this happened.
The bird didn't even get a defeated image of the Big Mom, he even got video footage of fight between both Yuta and Big Mom.
Though he didn't directly publish everything at once. No, he gonna milk this news for as long as he could. After all getting this big news on the sea is hard. Not every day news like this fell into his office.
People across the seas were shocked.
From the warlocks hiding in secret coves to pirates sailing in the New World, everyone was buzzing about the same thing: who is this Yuta? And how did he take down a Yonko?
Few warlocks actually remember this boy from the submit war. Mihawk was one of those people.
While drinking his wine, in his ghosted castle, no thanks to a certain gothic girl he adopted in, he looked at the person in the newspaper. Remembering how this boy, seemingly ordinary back then, turn the entire war upside down by his own strength.
He was actually quite interested in Yuta, a person who he can't understand. He couldn't see through the boy. That strange power he used and his motives. Almost nothing made sense to him.
At Red-Haired Shanks' ship, the crew was reading a newspaper and laughing.
"Looks like Luffy's done it again," Shanks chuckled. "But this new guy… Yuta, huh? Interesting."
"Wanna try recruiting him boss."
"Huh don't joke, that old man Whitebeard would turn the sea upside down if we poach his people."
"Heh ? I thought he was Luffy's Nakama..."
Meanwhile, in a darker, more chaotic place, Blackbeard had his own thoughts.
"Hehe… Big Mom's down, huh? That makes things more fun." His eyes gleamed with wicked delight.
However, when he saw Yuta, his eyes turn dangerous. Blackbeard's teach was a person who has knowledge about most devil fruit. However, he couldn't make head or tales about what kind of devil fruit Yuta had eaten.
'Shock...Hana Hana Nomi... that strange heart beats.' He didn't knew, and to some degree his mind told him that Yuta was a similar person like his.
Which he didn't like. He didn't like that at all. A dangerous glint appeared on his face.
But the ones who were the most concerned were the Marines.
At Marine Headquarters, Admiral Akainu called an emergency meeting. The top brass gathered around a massive round table. The mood was heavy.
Akainu slammed his hand on the table. "This is no longer just about the Straw Hats or Whitebeard. This Yuta… he himself would turn into an Emperor at this rate. If the reports are true, he knocked out Big Mom then think about his reputation which gonna build after this."
"Three admirals, Kaido, Big Mom and Whitebeard got his backing..." Akainu was furious. Others could understand too. Fame is the one thing which attract new pirate to band under one strong pirate.
Most pirate groups form this way. If Yuta create a pirate group then it would be a headache for the marines. The boy while still now haven't done anything like pirate outside fighting in the submit war, however, pirates are pirate.
At least for Akainu, it was.
Admiral Kizaru spoke in his usual laid-back tone, "He's strong, sure. But why the rush, Sakazuki?" Said the man who had his balls kicked by the boy in front of everyone.
Akainu growled, "Because he's unpredictable. Straw Hat is reckless as it is but predictable. This Yuta guy? He took down two of the Four Emperors and just flew away on a cloud.
A cloud! That he stole from Big Mom...Like it's nothing!"
Vice Admiral Tsuru added, "We've couldn't confirm what kind of devil fruit he has eaten. He first appeared 3 years ago in Alabasta out of nowhere. And even then it was reported that he has shock fruit power. But from that point on, his powers have been just getting impossible to figure out. All the powers he used in the war 2 years ago. He might as well have eaten multiple devil fruit at this point."
Akainu narrowed his eyes. "See, the boys need to be strong. Just three years and he has grown this much. If left unchecked where would he be in another 2. What about 5 years later. Would anyone of us be a match for him.
We have to do something." Akainu roared.
"What you planning?"
"We put a price on his head so high no one will ignore it."
A Marine officer stepped forward with a list. "We've prepared updated bounties for everyone involved in the Cake Island incident."
He read them out loud:
"Monkey D. Luffy — New bounty: 1.9 billion berries."
"Vinsmoke Sanji — 1 billion berries."
"Nami, Chopper, Brook, Jinbe, Carrot — All significantly increased."
"And finally… Yuta — New bounty: 3 billion berries."
Gasps filled the room.
"That's the highest bounty we've ever given to a non-Emperor in one go," an officer said.
"What highest bounty given to a non-emperor. That's already an Emperor's bounty..." Others deadpan.
Akainu grunted, "Let the world know. We don't care who he trained under, or what he did to Big Mom. He's a threat."
Kizaru smiled lazily. Already coming up with ideas to avoid being send after the boy.
Back out in the world, the new bounties hit the streets. Posters with updated bounties were posted everywhere—from the Sabaody Archipelago to Water 7. In bars, taverns, and shady ports, everyone stared at Yuta's bounty poster with wide eyes.
"3 billion?! Who the hell is this guy!?"
In the pirate world, a bounty said more than words ever could. And Yuta's new price made it clear—he wasn't just a helper. He was a new power in the world. A name to fear. A man the World Government wanted gone.
Back in the Sunny...
Nami, in the distance, screamed, "THIS IS BAD!"
The new age was getting wild.
Yuta didn't care. He didn't what he had to. What he cared more was the system notification in front of him.
"A world transfer notification? How come the system remember that he should ask first before sending its user without hurdling into another world." Yuta muttered with clear irritation seeing how shady this system have been to him.
However, he was also a little hopeful. Wondering maybe perhaps he could go back home now.
But what about Maki.
He wasn't sure, but he couldn't leave her here.
"Maki..." So he decided to asked the girl himself.
