Chapter 304 - Chapter 304 : Escape

The fight between Luffy and Katakuri started again. Both were breathing heavily from their earlier clash, but neither wanted to back down.

Since their fight didn't conclude from before, thanks to a certain someone's Conqueror's Haki.

Inside the Mirror World, fists flew faster than the eye could see. Katakuri's spear clashed against Luffy's hardened fists as the two kept pushing each other.

Surprisingly, Katakuri caught onto Brulee's powers fast enough after seeing multiple Luffys—perhaps due to his proficiency with his Observation Haki, future sight...

He was able to get to Brulee and then went back and intercepted Luffy before he could go find trouble with his mother.

Luffy's body was bruised and battered, but his spirit burned bright. As anyone could think, the plan was already a dud... He was supposed to be out there, fighting Big Mom, not here. He was learning fast, starting to dodge attacks just before they landed—his Observation Haki getting sharper with each second. But no matter how strong and talented Luffy was, he couldn't beat Katakuri fast enough to go out to save the plan. Not like he cared much. This was Luffy, after all.

Utterly nonchalant regarding plans, Luffy just wished to fight and beat the annoying Mochi man. As for the plan? Nami would take care of it...

Outside the Mirror World, chaos had taken over Whole Cake Island. The assassination plan on Big Mom had failed. A certain Straw Hat fool was partly involved as well, but most of this was due to her own resistance.

Instead of going down, she went on a wild rampage. Her scream alone had shattered windows, cracked the ground, and caused even her own children to run in fear.

Big Mom wasn't thinking anymore. She was angry. Really angry. She smashed buildings, trees, and anything that got in her way. Her sons and daughters tried to stop her, but she didn't care who they were. She hit friend and foe alike. The only word coming from her mouth was "Mother Carmel!"

In the middle of all this, the rest of the Straw Hats and their allies fought off the Big Mom Pirates. Nami used her weather attacks to hold off enemies while Chopper turned into his monster form to block powerful strikes. And the rest did their best to fight off the Big Mom Crew.

"Sanji...." Chopper shouted, calling out for Sanji the moment he spotted him. He was still handling the other Big Mom children who had turned against the Vinsmoke.

Even the combined might of the Vinsmoke, Straw Hats, and Capone Pirates wasn't enough to handle the Big Mom pirates.

They were outnumbered. It was baffling just how many children Charlotte Linlin had.

The only two people who were absent from this fight were both Pedro and Brook. They were still recovering the Poneglyphs.

Bege and his gang transformed into their massive castle form and fired cannons from all sides. It wasn't much, honestly. In front of an Emperor, a few hits were enough for Big Mom to completely break apart Bege's castle. However, it did give the team some breathing room.

"Are you sure you ain't going there to help them?" Maki asked while munching on a snack from the JJK World. While she had the option to get anything from Yuta's vast collection of food from the various different worlds he had been to, she still chose one she was quite familiar with.

"Perhaps, but not immediately. They have yet to get to Sanji. Acting before that would just have me holding back that hag while they delay time. I'm not having it. Let's first at least get ready to escape. Then I'll give them an opening," Yuta replied off-handedly.

"Hmmm..." She didn't bother replying. Surprisingly, even to Yuta, she was taking this entire fiasco a little too easily. Yuta didn't bother her, treat time and return to watching the fight, waiting for Luffy to come back after finally besting Katakuri.

That was a big reason he wasn't acting. Completely taking down Big Mom would take too much effort. Holding her down, not even knowing when the rubber man would come, would be annoying.

Back to the fight, he saw Jinbe stood firm, holding the line and protecting the crew like a true shield. He shouted orders and helped direct the chaos, keeping the team together even when everything seemed to be falling apart.

A pretty ridiculous fact about Big Mom's crazed state was that she went out of her mind but yet could use most of her powers. Why? This ridiculously made it harder to handle her. Even now, she was using her Haki and Soul Fruit powers.

Her power's activation condition was troublesome too. Anyone who feared her—she could just simply take their soul out. And how was anyone supposed to not fear her while she looked like she was ready to eat everyone with that monstrous face?

Yuta waited patiently near the edge of the battlefield, his arms crossed and one eyebrow twitching. They were taking too damn long...

All around him, Big Mom's Tea Party had gone from a royal celebration to a full-blown disaster.

And then suddenly a loud shout came....

"SANJI...."

Finally, Luffy stumbled out of a shattered mirror, half-conscious, dragging his bruised and battered body across the candy-covered ground. He looked like a pancake that had been through a blender. But he was grinning.

Yuta smirked. "Took you long enough."

Nami, Chopper, Carrot, and the rest began gathering for the escape. That was Yuta's cue.

He turned and cracked his knuckles. "Time to stall the big lady then..."

With one leap, Yuta flew through the broken decorations and landed smack in the middle of the Tea Party ruins—cake debris, jelly fountains, and a couple of confused musical teacups still singing in the corner.

"Hey, Momzilla!" he shouted.

A terrifying growl answered. From the shadows, Big Mom rose again, towering like a monster in a sugar-fueled horror movie. Her eyes locked on Yuta, and her hair flared like fire.

'...no, that is real fire.' For a second Yuta thought he was under a genjutsu. Fire hair? What is this concept?

"You again…" she growled.

Yuta blinked in confusion. How the hell did she recognize him when earlier she was going more berserk than an ex-wife hunting for alimony?

The ground cracked under her feet. Yuta didn't wait. He charged forward, throwing a punch that sent a shockwave through the air. Big Mom blocked it with one arm, but her giant chair throne shattered behind her.

Yuta zipped left, zipped right, dodging candy golems and exploding cookie soldiers. He punched, kicked, and dodged, always faster than her. But no matter how hard he hit, Big Mom didn't go down. Her defense was insane.

"I love Rika's scarf, but this steel body! Hey System, can't you give me this?"

He hit her in the gut. She burped.

"...that...that smells like cake. And it stinks." Good thing he wasn't eating alongside Maki or he might have been throwing up by now.

He kicked her in the jaw. She sneezed.

He even used an elbow drop from the sky. She just grunted and nothing else... Damn.

"Okay," Yuta said, panting. "Just Haki wouldn't cut it—I knew that, but can't even hold you back. That, too much." For all he did, he was just using his Haki, no other power. He knew he would be no match, but he wasn't here to fight after all, he was delaying her.

However, it was clear now. Without his HT powers, he would be no better than a slightly stronger than your average character in this world.

"If only I could use Susanoo..." he sighed. That feeling he had against fighting Madara in his Susanoo felt captivating. If only Susanoo wasn't a world-specific power.

Meanwhile, buildings were crumbling from the force of their battle. Candy fountains melted. Chocolate bridges snapped in half. Civilians ran screaming as jellybeans exploded like fireworks.

"This is getting out of hand," Yuta muttered, looking around. While the Straw Hats did get out relatively easily thanks to him distracting Big Mom, knowing that she snapped out of her crazed state just after looking at him, he didn't even have to use any of his HT-related powers.

However, local citizens here in Cake Island were suffering from this scuffle.

"A hero shouldn't bother common citizens like this..."

DUM DUM....

Suddenly strong beats of hearts resounded, making everyone stiffen up for a second. It wasn't a Conqueror's. Yuta knew better than to activate that again without learning to control it.

He took a deep breath, raised his fist, and activated ROFA Stock Style Punch—75 stocks worth.

The energy swirled around him like a storm. His scarf whipped in the wind, his eyes glowing with pure power. Even the cookie soldiers paused mid-step.

Yuta shouted, "Alright, how about you take a small nap... better even if you kick the bucket with this, though I doubt you will. You're too tough-skinned for that!"

With a mighty leap, he soared high and brought his fist down. The punch landed square in Big Mom's belly with a sound like a mountain exploding. BOOOOM!

Big Mom's eyes crossed. Her crown flew off. And her enormous body was sent flying through several layers of Cake Island architecture like a cannonball made of rage.

She crashed into a frosting fountain and didn't move.

Yuta exhaled, wiping sweat from his forehead. "There wasn't anyone in those houses, right!?" He couldn't help but gulp. He should have checked it out with Observation beforehand.

No! Actually, he did check it out, just wasn't very confident about his own Observation Haki. That was the worst of his powers outside the recently acquired Conqueror's Haki.

At least he trained in Armament especially to use more of his ROFA power.

He didn't wait. "Zeus! Come here, we're leaving!"

The cloud zoomed in, clearly annoyed but couldn't voice it out.

"Hehehee... let's fucking get out of here. I'm already on the verge of developing diabetes if I stay here any longer."
