The days have passed with relative ease and calm.
We have yet to encounter the ones chasing us, though we've not stopped keeping an eye on the road behind us. We've seen no sign of the ones following, which either means they've given up or are simply keeping their distance.
Or that they're waiting for a more advantageous point to attack.
It seems whoever they are, we were right to think they wouldn't want to attack while we're outside the boundaries of Latrides.
The forest has cleared out much more, making subtle tracking much more difficult. They've either had to fall back far enough that they can't be seen, or they've decided to wait until we return.
The issue is, we can't quite know for sure which one it is yet.
Without knowing who hired Tomas to follow me and why, it's nearly impossible to make any meaningful guesses as to what their plans might be or what the reasoning behind their actions is more specifically.
At least it seems like it's a problem for another time.
