Treys Minor isn't far off now. Roland characterized it as a trading town in the far north - the only city out here in no-man's land that still maintains any kind of relationship with Latrides.
...Well, it was until Zane established something with Carleon after the attack of those reliving creatures.
But aside from Roland's report before we left, all I've ever heard about Treys Minor is that it's a town of thieves and undesirables. People banished from Latrides officially or otherwise, people who can't fit in, and either don't want the nomadic life of Zane's people or were rejected by him, too.
They do participate in trade...but it's practically necessary for them to survive.
I don't actually know what they offer in return for it, but given one of our primary port cities is Kastellos, the town that Silas rules, I imagine it probably relies on the more unsavory members of the town.
In short...
I still hate the idea of going there at all.
But I can't argue with Roland's point.
