Basil Jaak and Bertha scouted Phoebe's troop movements.
However, Basil didn't reveal himself to meet them immediately.
Instead, he waited until nighttime and with Bertha, bypassed the guards and quietly arrived at Phoebe's central command tent.
"Who's there?!"
When Basil and Bertha approached Phoebe's central command tent, the vigilant Phoebe reacted.
"Phoebe, your guards are insufficient. I got outside your tent from dozens of miles away without much effort."
Taking down the four guards outside the tent, Basil whispered.
Phoebe found the voice familiar but hadn't thought of Basil's return yet. He leaped and immediately positioned himself beside the tent, ready to act at any moment.
"Can't you recognize my voice? It's Basil."
Basil went straight to the point, then entered with Bertha.
Basil? Your Majesty?
Recalling the voice, Phoebe was overjoyed. Seeing two people enter at the tent entrance, he immediately knelt on one knee: "Subordinate greets Your Majesty!"
