Hearing Iris's past, Elsha slowly began to realize more about the world. Until now, she was living in an isolated village and believed that she was the only one in the world who was in pain. Even though both of their pasts are different, Elsha knows how it feels when we lose a loved one in our lives. Elsha lost her mother at 12 and had to live alone. But she was a little mature so she was able to live. But for Iris, she lost everyone when she was 7 and didn't even know the whereabouts of her little brother. This event made Elsha more attached to Iris.
"Big sis, let's cheer up, others are coming."
Iris wiped her face and smiled. Marcus and others come to the table after getting fresh.
"We are back," Rita said.
"So, did you guys order your food?"
"No. we were waiting for you guys," said Iris.
"Aww Iris, were you waiting for me?" Rita teased Iris.
"Shut up," Iris said. Elsha was surprised. Iris, to not make her teammates worry, completely changed her attitude and completely controlled her emotions.
"Sis Ruby. Please bring our daily order and also good beer" Samuel said.
"By the way Elsha, what you like to order?" Rita asked.
"I don't have a preference. So, I will go with the food you guys ordered"
"But do you know what we ordered?"
"No," Elsha said.
"Do you know what beer is?"
"No," Elsha says with a smile.
"Then why did you order it?" Samuel said.
"Haa. Elsha, I warn you, you need to know about your food before eating it" Samuel said.
'?' Elsha didn't understand.
Rita chuckles and says "Don't worry Samuel, let's see her tolerance today" Rita said.
After some time, Ruby brought their food. A spicy meat dish and rice, which is a regional specialty from the eastern country and is only found in Silvan other than the eastern region because it is a merchant city.
"Haaa. how many days it has been since we ate rice?" Rita asked
"So, Elsha let me introduce you. This is rice. This dish will only be available in Silvan in the western region. It is a food of the natives in Eastern country" Rita begins to explain. But for Elsha every food is new to her.
After a long class about rice by Rita, Samuel stops her from further wasting time and tells others to eat. But Elsha didn't know that something unexpected was about to happen.
After taking a spoonful of Rice and curry, what everyone saw was Elsha crying. This scene made Rita laugh because Elsha didn't have any tolerance for spicy food. What made this even worse was, in panic, Elsha drank the beer for relief from the burning sensation. Upon realizing what is the taste of beer, Elsha ran toward the washroom and vomited. After coming from her battle Elsha looks at Rita.
Rita chuckled and said, "Do you understand now, why you need to know your food before eating?" Elsha nods while tears are running.
After this incident, Marcus orders another curry with less spice for Elsha and everyone starts to eat while talking and laughing about what happened now. While they talking Elsha suddenly looked at Rita and asked
"Rita by the way, why is the beer so sour?"
"It is beer. That's why and Elsha you drink without knowing that?"
Elsha's face became red because of embarrassment.
"Rita, it's enough teasing her," Marcus said.
"Yup, you need to stop now, Rita" Iris said.
"Why? I'm just teasing our junior"
"Then I will tell her about how you peed yourself when you saw an Orc for the first time," Iris said while her eyes closed.
"Gah. Iris that's a secret" Rita panics.
"If you don't stop teasing her, I will tell her your other embarrassing moment"
"I understand" Then Rita goes into a completely silent state.
After this everyone slowly finished their food while joking and talking. But all this time Marcus was in dead silence.
After they finished the dinner, Elsha gathered others.
"Let's gather in the hall on the first floor, it's boring to sleep too soon let's talk sometime," Elsha said.
"Okay, let's go," Rita said while being enthusiastic. While Elsha was about to go for the stairs,
"Elsha, can you come for a minute," Marcus said and walked away from the group.
Elsha followed him and he was standing near the balcony.
"Why did you call me brother Marcus?"
"Elsha, did Iris tell you about her past?"
Elsha in a sad voice said "Yes"
"You know, that time when me and Samuel found Iris, she was about 11 years old and had no life in her eyes. There was no hope in those eyes and even after years passed, they didn't change. But past these days we all saw a new Iris. She never brings herself to help anyone. But she willingly tried to help you. So, Elsha. Can you do me a favor? Please accompany Iris. Even if one day you leave Silvan, please bring Iris with you. We couldn't heal her, but you could. It is my only request Elsha"
Elsha was surprised to hear such a request from Marcus.
"Brother Marcus, she is like a big sister to me. She helped me so much during our journey. If I can help her, I will do it" Elsha said with a smile.
"Thank you, Elsha, for accepting my selfish request"
While she accepted Marcus's request, she didn't know that Iris was a person who would change Elsha's fate.
