Rita was shocked to hear that name. Even when she was living in the temple, nobody called her that name.
"I-I don't know what are you talking about" Rita was flustered and replayed.
"Oh, what happened? You're looking pale" Mrithiel asked.
"Sorry, I don't have time for your nonsense" Rita tries to leave.
"The temple tried its best to hide the fact about the saintess's daughter, don't you think?"
Rita paused and looked at Mrithiel.
Mrithiel continues.
"Hahaha, don't worry Rita. I'm just stating facts, also to become the paladin, wasn't that for your revenge?"
"Mrithiel, if you are here to waste my time I'm leaving"
"You may leave, Rita. But I'm here to tell you I can help with your revenge. Now I have the power for it"
"What?"
"I'm giving you an offer"
"I have nothing like revenge in my heart. You are misunderstanding something"
"Hmm…. Okay, if you're playing dumb, I can't help"
And after saying this Mrithiel leaves from there. Rita holds her hands and stays there in deep thought.
"Revenge, huh?"
Back in Silvan,
The group was preparing for a birthday party for Rita. Ruby was taking lists for party food preparations and others preparing the hall for the party.
"Elsha come here we need to complete all the hall preparation today," Iris said.
"Yes, sis"
"You need to complete today, if you need to do the quest tomorrow"
Elsha smiled upon hearing this and was arranging decorations on the wall. Time went by, and in the evening every work was completed and everyone looked at the decorations.
"Hoo… everything is done. Tomorrow we will go and prepare the food and its ingredients. Good work, everyone" Marcus said.
"Okay then. We are going, Marcus. It's time for Elsha's class." Iris said.
"Eh? Can't we rest a bit?"
"We are going to do a quest tomorrow. So, you need to prepare for it, so let's go" Iris drags Elsha and goes outside.
"Will she be, okay?" Marcus asked.
"Yes, she will be okay. Perhaps" Samuel answered. Both of them laugh.
"You know Samuel, it's been a long time since we laughed like this right?"
"I know, right? Iris always gives a cold expression and never laughs. But now it become lively." Samuel said.
"After Elsha joined, Iris became enthusiastic. I can't imagine she is the gloomy girl who we found in the forest."
"Yes"
"So, that's why we are making this birthday party more grant than the last time" Both of them look at each other and smile.
While outside, Elsha was dragged by Iris who brought her to the training ground to practice her newly founded magic. While she using it, there were so many flaws like unwanted output of mana and control problems. Elsha slowly grasped the techniques and methods to control mana from Iris.
"Elsha, to control your mana you need to image its output while using it and forceful control can cause vein break, so be careful" After saying this Iris takes a small glass sphere from her bag.
"So, for your first training, try to concentrate mana in this mana sphere. If you exceed the limit, the sphere will break. Practice it till you get 10 spheres straight without breaking"
"Okay, sis"
Elsha starts her training. Upon her first try, she breaks the sphere into pieces. She continues but keeps breaking. Iris watches Elsha, and she continues them again and again. Slowly she managed to hold the sphere for 7 seconds, but break it again. Elsha's face became bright because she could hold it for some time before breaking.
"Okay Elsha, let's stop there for today it's becoming dark let's go to the inn."
"Okay, sis"
"And congrats, you are slowly getting how to control your mana. Keep practicing, okay?"
"Yes"
They both return to the inn. Both of them slowly walk towards their room while talking.
"Okay Elsha, eat your dinner without me. I have some work before going tomorrow. Good night" Iris said.
"Okay sis, good night"
Elsha opens the window and looks at the sky. Suddenly Skye flew inside her room.
"I was wondering where were you, Skye. Welcome back" Elsha pats Skye.
"By the way, you know Rita's birthday is coming and we were preparing for it. Also, I was practicing how to control my mana with Iris's help" Elsha talked all about what happened today, with Skye.
"Oh, Skye. I forget to show you. I bought a gift for Rita. It was tough for me to choose a gift. So, Iris helped me. I hope she likes it. Oh, I need to wake up early tomorrow" After saying this, Elsha goes downstairs and asks Ruby for her dinner.
"Is Iris not with you today?" Ruby asked.
"She said to go first"
After eating her dinner Elsha goes back to her room. She sits on the bed and tries to practice the mana control with the mana spheres. She slowly injects the mana and tries to last longer than last time. She practices again and slowly increases the time. Time passes by and she falls asleep. At the table, she completes 10 mana spheres filled with mana without breaking it.
