In the middle of a busy street full of chatters of villagers and merchants, they are busy with their daily lives and they focus on their work. Suddenly their focus diverted to the busy street, like looking at some curse, their face changed to an uncomfortable expression. "Why did that Witch come again into the city?" a middle-aged lady said. "Hmph, she always appears when having a beautiful day to spoil it" the woman selling fruits whispered. All the people standing on the street are whispering to each other.
But when we look onto the street, we can see a beautiful girl who is about 16 years old, her hair is white as a rose, and with beautiful scarlet eyes. Her hands are slim, her clothes are torn and patched, and she is carrying an old basket with her. With a smile on her face, she is humming a song while looking at different stalls. "Bring the children home or they will get cursed," A lady said to her friend. But the girl didn't mind those insults and continued to walk, suddenly an old man from the fruit shop called "Elsha...!" the girl looked in that direction.
"I have some fresh fruits do you need some," the old man said.
"Yes grampa, I will have some" Elsha said.
Suddenly the people start to whisper,
"She is manipulating that old man", "We should already throw her out of the village", so many hurtful words keep coming from the crowd.
"Don't worry my girl, they will say whatever they want. But I'm always on your side, pick up the fruits you need, and also, I have some flour and bread too, I will give you some" the old man said.
"NO grampa, I already have some fruits now, thank you for your good heart," Elsha said. But the old man gave the flour and bread and said,
"I also have a granddaughter of your age; you should eat more at this age".
After saying thanks to the old man, Elsha was about to return to her home,
"Why do you keep appearing in the town", "Why don't you just disappear from here" "You are the reason why we can't live peacefully", "WITCH", "CURSE", "DIE", these words kept coming from the crowd. Elsha couldn't bear it and ran from there.
She ran towards a deserted area which is miles away from the village. There is a flower field which is like a silk cloth that is waving by the wind. In the middle of the field, there is a small house that is about to fall, Elsha walks toward the house, and by that time her cheerful face has regained its glow. She enters the house and puts the basket on the table. She goes to the stove to prepare some soup. "Vegetable soup as always, right?", Elsha asks herself holding both hands on her hips and smiling. She cuts the Vegetables and washes them well. She fills a pot with water and places it at the top of the stove. She then chants "FLAREIGNUS", suddenly the stove begins to burn. After she added every ingredient, she closed the lid of the pot, "ha… Now let's wait for 30 minutes", she said. Then she goes out to wash her clothes and hangs them to dry. After doing her daily chores she prepared the plate for her soup. "Today it's a little salty, right? I'm still not as good as Mom" she told herself with a sad smile.
Elsha is a 16-year-old girl living in the village named Grifil, who lost her mom at 12 and her father at 3. Because of her white hair and red eyes, she is accused of being a witch and hated by her villagers. Also, people in this world can only use 2 magics, but Elsha can use three types of magics 'Fire, Ice, and healing' that separate her from others. Now she lives with the help of a little ration given by an old man who runs a stall near the village because, it said that when his granddaughter was bedridden by an illness, her mother cured it.
Now she is living with a pet sparrow named Skye, which has red-colored feathers. While picking wood in the forest, Elsha found a wounded sparrow and she healed her using her ability, and the sparrow is now bonded to Elsha. After looking at the stored food "haa. this is not enough for the full week I need some more…., not a problem let's search for some food while going to collect wood" Elsha said. After she gets the carrier "Skye, let's go to collect wood". With a cute chirp, Skye follows her. Elsha closed the door of the house and headed to the forest. The forest is called Mist-Wood Forest. As the name suggests, the outer area of the forest is covered in thick mist and will lose way if entered aimlessly. So, the villagers never enter the forest due to unknown dangers and beasts within. As Elsha enters the forest, the mist moves like it's leading the way.
As she entered, the mist covered the way and it could not see even her shadow. As she enters deeper, the mist clears. What we see is a forest full of beautiful trees. "At last, we reached our favorite spot," Elsha said, giving a little nod Skye agreed. While they Speak to each other, a big shadow is watching them some distance away upon a small rock cliff about 4 meters high. "Hmm. I guess today's prey is already in my grasp" the figure says and jumps down from the cliff and begins to run towards Elsha and Skye.
