664 10/11 3:01 (Autumn, Day, Midrar)
Luna's fists rained down upon the humanoid mass of glowing pure water, steam leaking out from her fists as they were being rapidly dissolved and rebuilt, every single one of her punch sending the Spirit hurling back as shockwaves were being released from her whole body with each of her movements, battering Flux constantly.
After slamming her feet hard on the ground, she twisted in on herself, shadows coating her limbs before whipping forward in twin, simultaneus blows towards both their heart- and head-equivalent, shadows erupting violently from her fists and ripping the humanoid mass apart.
The droplets forming previously their body pulled themselves back together, the previous rush of attacks having left little lasting damage beyond their use of their Contractor's Energy to speed up their reuniting.
On the other hand Luna had lost around 10% of her Vital Mana as a conseguence for the two Vows that she broke, their benefits being nullified completely and being unable to restore her Oaths for a whole seven days.
'It's a real shame that I broke both of the two Vows when breaking only reguarding my Black Bloodwould have beenfar better, saving 5% of my Vital Mana and letting me maintain my Vital Mana Efficiency, Recoveryand Control or especially my ability to create a False Domain based on it. On the other hand, I needed to test out the characteristics of theirPurification… Ah, how fun.' She smiled sharply, glad for the challenge, her eyes focused on the Spirit before her.
She didn't wait, not even a second passing between the two separating that she exploded forward, spinning in mid-air to launch an axe kick aimed on separating the Spirit's body in half.
Flux allowed the kick to land on them without any resistance, opening before closing down around her leg, sticking it in place and starting to dissolve it gradually, sixteen orbs of glowing water moving around Luna and aiming right at her, sending a rain of bullets towards her body while swinging their arms as a pair of whips to grab onto the Lunarian's arms, stopping her in place and starting to dissolve her from there too.
Luna smiled even wider, her fangs shining as she prepared to test out another, very promising theory on how to fight back more properly against the decomposition, and more effectively fight back against the Purification-Attribute itself.
From around her body pulsed a wave of Counterspell, her Aura flaring wildly and precisely surrounding and containing the wave in a single point, detonating in a wave that washed over the two of them in an instant, the glowing within the Spirit flickering and dying, even if this was only temporary.
Luna's Aura flared up violently, freeing herself from the Flowing Spirit's hold and simultaneusly releasing a shockwave that battered the bullets of water away from herself.
The white haired one easily landed on her feet, her Aura surging around her before detonating in a wave of force that sent the water forming the one coming from the Plane of Flows all over the place, leaving her more than enough time to think how exactly she could properly deal with it.
'Theirbody is made of normal water, physical force is not an effective measure to fight them, merely a way to buy some time while they recover. However because they are made of natural water, there are other, more effective way to fight back.' Her eyes opened wide.
Luna stood up, her Aura flaring around her hands before they joined together, breathing in once and concentrating deeply.
If she had accessed Ash or Core's assistance, or even if she was still able to expand her False Domain, what she planned on doing would be incredibly easy for her to do, yet this newfound difficulty served only to excite her even further.
Her Aura concentrated, vibrating and heating up until it turned into violent flames that started to surround the red-eyed one in an instant before they were condensed in a sphere that started to float around the Vampiric one, a rough mirror to the Spirit's very own spheres.
Flames erupted, being condensed by using No-Attribute Magecraft into a long and thin beam that pierced right through the wall that Flux hurriedly rose for their own defenses, water rapidly starting to evaporate as the heat she unleashed caused their reforming body to start boiling as the Spirit's Vessel involuntarily trembled because of the heat involved.
Flux's water body rippled sideways, moving to dodge the heat while at the same time using Energy to cool down their body to try and increase the water's Resistance towards heat in on itself.
Water bullets rained down upon the Lunarian, being deflected away by her Aura that hardened in a manner that resembled the solidity innate to the Earth-Attribute.
Soon it started vibrating around her body faster and faster and falling down upon the Spirit in a series of lightning bolt-like strikes that led ever more of their water to evaporate under the might of her attacks, finding themselves needing to retreat fast and needing to use their water to conduct the electricity away from themselves.
Soon Luna started to experiment even more, changing the properties of her Aura to match the sharpness innate to the Air-Attribute and causing a rain of slashes to fall down upon the Spirit, having little effect however as they were naturally not very effective against a living mass of water.
'Hey, Sabel, can you send me what you feel while using the Light-Attribute?' She sent out to her Human Mate, her eyes lighting up once she recieved the almost instinctive, because she was quite busy at the moment, message from her dear swordwoman, one of her Parallel Selves starting to work on decoding the recieved memories, separating the feeling of the Attribute from those of their owner.
Meanwhile another one of her Parallel Selves was working on studying the way the Spirit used the water, the third was concentrating on how she could manipulate shadows more effectively, with the fourth and final of the available ones being the one in their constant state of Deep Meditation.
Luna dashed towards the Spirit, her Aura focusing around her right hand in a blade and starting to heat up and vibrate more and more violently, sharpening and at the same time hardening, a rough way to use the four Attributes she was by this point quite familiar with thanks to her Familiars together in a single whole.
The Auric Blade flashed forward, Luna being carefull to use no Vital Mana or Black Blood, experimenting what she could do with manipulation of Aura alone.
Her sword flashed faster and faster, thrusting it and slashing into the Spirit's body, the temperature and electricity contained within the Aura evaporing more and more of their Vessel's materials, driving them back continuously as she ripped them apart, her use of Aura refining itself swing after swing.
Luna lowered herself to dodge a water whip, her fist clad in her Aura smashing into the Spirit's chest, forcing them to retreat rapidly to make sure that they lost the least amount of water in the fight. "I see, so this is how it works." Luna commented calmly, her eyes flashing.
Luna's Auric Blade flexed, changing its properties to become almost liquid in its texture, acquiring access to the fluidity natural to the Water-Attribute, swinging upwards and easily cutting off both of the "arms" owned by Flux thanks to aforementioned unpredictability.
Her progress thereafter instead of slowling down because of the addition of a new Attribute to her previous set, especially considering how she theorically had the least amount of experience with that one, instead accelerated as she took advantage of her experience with manipulating blood and Black Blood to compensate for said absence.
Luna laughed outloud, her newly no longer engaged Parallel Self starting to examine her memories of the Curse- and Holy-Attributes, memories that were irrevocability linked together in her case considering how both her two more relevant connection with them, Amber and Mafel, had access and often used both of them simultaneously.
Flux did not waver, responding by sending down towards the Lunarian a rain of sharp water blades, slowing her down just enough for them to disassemble in a mass of water and reform themselves far away from the red-eyed one, beyond her immediate reach.
As the white-haired one made to follow them, she was suddently struck by a violent jolt, flinching briefly as Mark struck her with an immediate lightning bolt from outside of the Range of her Senses, an attack that traded most of its destructive power for sheer speed, enough to surpass her reaction speed, even if only slightly.
Luna soon rebalanced herself, swinging her Aura upwards in a claw to bat away the blonde's falling form, an Auric Spear being launched to try and impale him in the stomach, blurring left to evade a jet of high-speed water coming from the Flowing Spirit.
"Oh, you are still here?" She casually asked towards the blue-eyed one, half as a genuine question and half purely to attack him emotionally, just because she could and felt like it.
After all if he were to lose his cool, she could potentially remove an important future threat much sooner that she came to expect and she would gain a lot of data thanks to his nature as a Regressor.
Unfortunately for her, and fortunately for his Party, he was way too experienced thanks to his Time Walker Unique Skill for so transparent a ploy to work, beyond just pissing him off.
As sparks accumulated around his body and the Spirit returned to glow, as the effect of her Counterspell on them was finally no longer able to suppress their Purification-Attribute, and Luna enveloped her Aura in a dense layer of solid shadows to try and protect it from the Purification effect, something moved in the shadows of the battle, at the moment yet unseen.
