The path to the planning room was strangely silent, unlike other days when people would be busy moving around and going about different activities to make life at the fortress easy.
It felt like they didn't even care today.
Or maybe the news that the soldiers, who consisted of the majority of the population, would soon be leaving the fortress was the reason they felt there was no need to work extra.
Damien opened the door of the planning room. Most of the commanders were already seated at the table, listening to instructions from Gusto.
"Okay."
"Thank you."
"All right."
And just as soon as Damien settled down with Audrey, the rest of the commanders started standing up and leaving the room after bowing to them.
"Is something wrong?"
Gusto shook his head. "Not really. It's just that the majority of the commanders are leaving today. It's impossible to keep putting it off when the war is at its peak."
"I'll also prefer to leave today. Where haven't you assigned any commander?"
