Audrey felt Agnes' eyes on her as she moved around the infirmary. But she didn't dare turn around to glance at Agnes as she continued treating the patients.
The villagers were more free with her, and most of them preferred Audrey to treat them rather than any of the other healers at the infirmary.
Regardless of the number of times Audrey used her healing blessing, she didn't feel tired. She didn't even look like she was going to feel tired.
She was focused on a patient that she had temporarily forgotten about Agnes, until she heard her whisper in her ear. "What did you say happened to you again?"
Silence.
"Is this some sort of glow-up after going to the village? But you didn't look like this when you came back from your journey."
Silence.
"Ooh... Look at that, that's Diran."
Finally, she got Audrey's attention. Audrey looked up from the child she was healing, but there was no one at the door.
"So, you can hear me, right? You only decided to ignore me."
