Samuel Johnson watched his mother's retreating figure, his heart a bit heavy; he felt his status in the family was plummeting.
Even his own mother had glared at him.
With a sullen touch to his nose, he toppled sideways, half-lying on Amanda Smith's legs.
"Now look what's happened, you've had a child, and my mom doesn't love me anymore," he complained. "You can't stop needing me too."
Amanda stroked his face, unable to resist a laugh, "Such a big boy, still acting like a spoiled child."
By now, Samuel's skin was thick enough that a comment from Amanda didn't make him blush. Instead, he just nuzzled into her, humming softly in response.
Lily Smith was already five years old and had started primary school. The old butler picked her up from school every day.
Sky Moore was already ten. He had skipped grades quickly, jumping from primary school to junior high and then directly to the last year of junior high. He would be starting high school next academic year.
