"Fine, then..." Lily Smith looked at him with sympathy, "With a personality as dull as yours, I bet girls don't really like you, huh..."
Sky Moore raised an eyebrow but said nothing.
He couldn't be bothered to mention the countless love letters he had to fish out of his desk at school every day.
"But it doesn't matter," Lily happily said, "I don't have a boyfriend either, so if you really can't find a girlfriend in the future, I'll be your girlfriend."
Sky's heart stirred slightly as he turned his head to look at Lily's pink, youthful face.
He was five years older than her, he would be an adult in another three years, while she had only just graduated from elementary school.
She was still a child.
Maybe she didn't understand what she was saying just now.
But it didn't matter, Sky thought, he could wait.
He watched Lily, his face involuntarily breaking into a smile. Even if it was just an offhand remark from her, he found it endearing.
