"But she will never believe." He looked at her bitterly, his lips curled in deep bitterness and self-mockery.
Facing his dark eyes, she felt something strange.
Her intuition told her that the 'she' he was talking about might be...
But how could it be?
If it really were her, he wouldn't have done something to hurt her sister.
She said calmly, "Then you are pathetic too."
With that, she turned and left.
"Pathetic?"
Aaron Brown watched her walk away, with a bitter smile, "Yes, pretty pathetic indeed."
The only time in his life he truly felt emotional, yet he wasn't believed.
Even he himself didn't believe it, yet it was a fact.
Aaron Brown returned to the ward, only to see Lucy Greene sitting inside.
He frowned slightly, "Why are you here?"
Lucy forced a smile, "I came to take care of you."
