Chapter Two
"Why are you here?"
She was a bit puzzled, but upon seeing him all bandaged up, she understood.
Recalling the scene from last night where he was beaten to protect her, Sofia Hamilton felt moved, but that didn't mean she could forget him causing her sister's death.
No matter what reasons he had, it could never erase his sin of killing her sister.
And she could never forgive him.
Standing in front of her was Aaron Brown, his head bandaged, bruises on the corner of his mouth, his hand seemed to be broken and in a cast, and she didn't need to imagine how many wounds lay beneath his hospital gown.
Aaron was skilled enough, but under the assault of several people, he was beaten bloody.
Luckily, it was only external injuries.
As long as he wasn't dead, it was fine.
Sofia felt there was nothing left to talk about with him.
She prepared to bypass him and step away.
"Sofia."
