Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: Miranda Kensington

"Selena Kensington has been hanging out a lot with Rosalind Blanchett lately. That Rosalind, I heard she was named the class beauty on the first day of military training, but you know, this stuff is still coming from within their own circle."

"And that Selena Kensington, acting like she's really going places. Can you believe it?"

"But I don't think she'll be able to swagger around for long. Isn't she in trouble now? Her latest song got dissed by a bunch of music critics within the industry."

Listening to Vivian Sutton, Selena Kensington's lips curved slightly.

Vivian Sutton finished speaking and then leaned over to whisper in Selena Kensington's ear, "Speaking of, how many people know about your marriage to that young master from the Norwood Family?"

Selena Kensington looked puzzled, "Not many, just a few of you." How did they turn the subject to her?

Vivian Sutton let out a sigh of relief.

"That's good. Let me tell you, that Rosalind Blanchett is Catherine Blanchett, the eldest daughter of the Blanchett Family's sister. The Blanchett Family has always been spreading rumors that Catherine has a marriage agreement with the Norwood Family heir, crowning herself the best candidate to become Lady Norwood."

"If she finds out you married that Norwood heir, she wouldn't leave you alone."

"What are you two whispering about?" Clement Luther looked confused. Weren't you guys speaking loudly just a moment ago?

Vivian Sutton kicked Clement Luther, "This is a secret between women!"

Clement Luther rolled his eyes and stopped asking.

Selena Kensington hadn't thought about it. Catherine Blanchett was someone she had heard of.

The Blanchett family's beloved eldest daughter, Aethelgard's top socialite.

"No worries, I know what I'm doing," Selena Kensington said.

It's just rumors spread by the Blanchett Family themselves. After all, the Norwood Family hasn't expressed any intentions.

After Vivian Sutton's words, she actually started to miss Sterling Norwood a bit.

Lately, the two only exchanged goodnight messages and hadn't said much more. Selena Kensington knew Sterling Norwood was dealing with matters abroad, so she didn't bother him much.

When the three arrived at the restaurant, they found it already quite crowded.

"I completely forgot, the freshmen should be on break now," Clement Luther said, tapping his forehead, and rushed to grab a seat.

Selena Kensington and Vivian Sutton surveyed the menu for what to eat.

After Selena Kensington had placed her order, she slightly lifted her head and saw a familiar face.

Miranda Kensington.

Seeing the other person storming over angrily, Selena Kensington slowly suppressed the hatred in her eyes.

Miranda Kensington rushed over, greeting Selena Kensington with feigned cordiality, "Sister, what a coincidence." Selena Kensington watched her act but didn't expose it.

With a faint nod, she intended to leave, but Miranda Kensington hurriedly clutched her arm.

She lowered her voice and said, "Selena, where's the full version of that song?"

Miranda Kensington was nearly driven mad lately.

She initially thought she could continue riding on Selena Kensington's song to stay in the limelight, but unexpectedly, she fell flat this time.

Numerous music critics pointed out the flaws in the song.

Fans also questioned whether she had exhausted her creative talents, claiming she no longer had the brilliance she once did.

Miranda Kensington had no way out. She adjusted the song only slightly before performing it, not expecting experts to discover its defects.

She barely had enough energy to create many songs.

The voices of doubt grew louder, leaving Miranda Kensington no choice but to approach Selena Kensington.

Selena Kensington blinked, "What are you talking about? What song?" Her clueless expression almost made Miranda Kensington believe her.

Miranda Kensington gritted her teeth, "The full version of 'Autumn Wind,' it's with you, right? Hand it over!"

She spoke with rightful entitlement.

The smile on Selena Kensington's lips gradually disappeared, looking at Miranda Kensington's arrogant demeanor, she didn't want to tangle with her anymore.

With a cold smirk, "I don't know what you're talking about, but I advise you not to provoke me again."

With that, she left with Vivian Sutton.
