I opened my eyes and saw I was in a garden. Most of the plants didn't look like any I had seen. And while the architecture resembled that of Kasai no Ki in parts, it was still foreign even by that standard.
The same man was sitting under a tree, snoozing. Had I gone back in time again? The chronology sure was out of synch. Was it supposed to be like this?
I walked over to him and studied his features. He looked younger than before. But it was definitely him. The same black hair, the same face.
My eyes widened as I sensed a hint of that golden light within him. My eyes scanned the garden around us. This whole place radiated with that light. But there were specks of darkness surrounding it. Was that the Abyss?
I gasped as the man opened his eyes. He rubbed his head and frowned as if he had awakened from a nightmare.
