Alli and Anis giggled as they watched us, making me narrow my eyes at my sister and my daughter.
"Alright, ya two, wipe away those smirks," I said, sighing.
"What smirk? Me happy!" Anis said, kicking her little legs up.
Alli chuckled and nodded. Anis, I could believe, but not my little sister.
"Happy, sure, but those giggles tell a different story," I replied, crossing my arms. "Especially yers, Alli."
Alli chuckled and shrunk in her seat a little. "Sorry, big bro. Ya just so fun to watch. It's like seein' a romance movie in person. Well, sometimes it's more rom-com."
I rolled my eyes at her, shaking my head. Alli was as nosy as ever. Where did she get it from? Ma? She wasn't gossipy.
"Say, where is Ma?" I said, glancing at the door as I realized she was missing.
Sil smiled. "She's makin'–" He didn't get to finish as Alli covered his mouth with her hand.
Our sister chuckled nervously. "She's makin' somethin' special for Anis."
