THE FIFTH ELEMENT 🔥🌊⛰️🌪️🌀

~Chapter 53🌊🌊🌊~

SAGE'S POV ~

"Focus! Sage." My Mom kept yelling In my ears.

I was trying to use my water powers again after a while.

"Focus only on your water powers, nothing else! Concentrate!"

"Maybe if you dailed it down a bit, she would actually do something. Your yelling is only distracting her the more." Damon said to Mom.

"Quiet Damon." She snapped at him.

"Just trying to help."Damon said defensively.

"Just because you've mastered how to use your water powers and the other ability at will doesn't mean you'll use it as you please. You'll only use at the last chance that calls for it. If people are to find out about your extra power, let it be when you're saving them with it." Mom lectured Damon.

"Right. Got it." Damon responded.

"Sage! What are you doing?! You're not focusing!" She continued to yell at me.

"Just stop! Stop trying to control me!" I burst angrily out on her.

"Would you rather be the one doing the controlling? That is your specialty, isn't it?." She said to me.

I shaked my head in disbelief.

"I'm done with this stupid training." I say and started to walk out on her.

I was inches away from her when I couldn't move anymore. My body was stiff and unmoving.

I was forcefully turned around without my control to face her. My feet and whole body was moving back towards where she was standing even when I didn't want to go back.

"St...op.....it" I tried to say but I was still going towards her.

I came to an abrupt stop once I got back to her.

"Don't ever walk out on me like that young lady." She said to me and suddenly I felt released.

" Look at you, using the same type of power you condemn so much. What does that make you?" I said spitefully to her.

"In control. Exactly where you need to be." She said to me.

"Now. Focus on your water powers or do you need more persuasion to focus." She said.

My mother and I had the same type of Extra power. The type that you could get lost in while using, the one that changes us into something else.

Damon got the lighter part.

But I have to live like this every single day, fighting the urge not to use people as puppets even when I really really want to.

"Again. Go again." Mother said to me.

I focused on the fountain of water in front of me as hard I could.

Small droplets of water rose from the fountain. I looked at my mother and she nodded.

"More." She said.

I focused more and ended up dropping the droplets of water back into the fountain.

"It's not working. I can't do this." I said to her.

She stretched her hands at me and suddenly I lost control of my body once again.

"N....ooo..oo... stop." I stammered but my mouth immediately shut and I couldn't speak again.

I stretched out my own hands over the fountain and suddenly the whole water In the fountain came rushing up in circles, circling around me.

"Whoa." I could hear Damon talk.

I wanted to ask him to help me but I couldn't. I wasn't in control of my own body.

The water kept circling around me and finally moved from me to all around the corner of the field we were in, knocking out everything on it's way. The water came back to me and I moved my hands a bit and it all went back into the fountain.

I was suddenly released.

I was breathing fast and heavily.

I saw everything I was doing and knew exactly what I was doing but it wasn't in my control.

I looked at my mother furiously.

I stretched out my hands towards her and the water in the fountain came rushing towards her with great speed but surprisingly she halted the water right before it came in contact with her.

Honey I am one with water. She said and suddenly her hands turned jellylike and finally turned to water.

She stretched out her hands which was now made of water and slapped me.

"Ouch." Damon commented.

"Don't ever think you can attack me that way ever again." She warned me.

The impact of the water on my face was pretty painful.

"Besides. Look at you. You just used your water powers, all you needed was a little push so I helped you." She said to me.

I remained quiet for the rest of the training that day and did all my mother wanted.

CASSIE'S POV 🌀🌀🌀

Once it was nighttime, the guards told us students to get some rest to reset for tomorrow while they kept watch for the night Incase of any ambush.

"Hey, what if tomorrow, we don't win the war?" Madeline asked me as we lying down on our beds.

"We will win Madeline. I'll make sure of it." I said to her.

"You must be pretty confident in your powers now." She said to me.

"Yeah. I learned a lot of new tricks today. Tomorrow you'll see." I said to her and smiled.

We suddenly heard a loud knock on our door and jumped up.

"Whoa who do you think it could be?" Madeline asked me.

"No idea." I replied.

I closed my eyes and immediately read the mind of the person standing outside the door. It wasn't just one person, there was three of them.

I laughed a little.

"What? Why are you laughing?" Madeline asked me.

"It's just...we have company." I said to her.

"I know. We both heard the knock." She said.

"Im going to open the door for them."I said and went straight for the door and opened it.

And there they were. Sage. Cara. And Phoebe.

"Hey guys." I said to them and Madeline rushed to the door too.

"Oh it's you people." She said trying to sound unexcited but her mind says otherwise.

"What are you doing here?" I asked them.

"Turns out neither of us can sleep. Do you both need some company?" Phoebe asked.

"Sure why not." I said and Madeline frowned at me.

"What?" I asked her.

"Nothing."

The three of them joined us in the room.

We all sat down at the ground, looking at the floor like some sort of exhibit.

Nobody wanted to talk first.

"I have a confession to make." Cara started off.

All our eyes turned to her.

"We're listening." Madeline said trying so hard to hide her excitement.

"My father is the one heading the war we're supposedly fighting tomorrow." Cara said.

I was surprised Jake told cara about that.

"Jake finally told you." I said out loud.

"You knew?" She asked me.

"Yeah. Found out the night we came home." I said to her.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Cara questioned.

"I didn't want to impose. And Jake didn't want to mention anything about it. So I figured to stay quiet about it too." I said to her.

"So that's why he was acting strange that night." Madeline said.

"Yeah. I'm really sorry about this Cara. I can't imagine what you're feeling." I say to her.

"It's okay. It's not your fault my father turned out to be the villain of our lives." Cara said.

"Your father might not be the only villain we know." Sage added.

"What do you mean?" Cara questioned.

"I have a confession to make too. And it's okay to judge too." Sage said to us.

"Okay. What is it?" Phoebe asked.

"My family all has extra powers. My mother, my brother, and I. All of us."Sage said.

"Umm Sage are you sure you want to talk about that?" Cara asked her.

"It's fine Cara. I'm tired of keeping it a secret anyway." Sage said.

Everyone was silent.

"I can't believe it. Are you trying to say the principal, our principal, has extra powers?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah. That's exactly what I'm saying." Sage said.

"And you? You know about it?" Madeline asked Cara.

Cara simply nodded.

"Wow. But the principal said that extra powers were evil, why would she say that when her own children and herself all have it....I don't understand." Phoebe said.

"Yeah. I know. Kinda makes her a big hypocrite doesn't it?" Sage said and chuckled.

"I'm sorry she has to hide you guys like that. It's not fair to you." I say to her and she smiled.

"Thanks Cassie." She replied.

"Anyways. It feels good to let that out." Sage said.

We were all silent once more.

"You all better survive tomorrow or else I'll k*ll you all myself." Cara said and we all chuckled.

As night fast approached further late, we all slept off one after the other.

~

Once it was sunrise, the bells rang vigorously and that was enough to wake us all up.

"Great. Let's get ready to battle kids." Cara said as she got up.

We all got ready and went to join everyone else in the field.

When we got there, we saw guards sharing uniforms to all the students.

"What is all that?" I asked Phoebe.

"I think these uniforms they're sharing are reinforced, and made from stronger materials, mostly resistant to heat. It'll help us not to get exposed too much during battle." She replied.

I nodded. "okay."

~

After everyone changed into their uniforms, we all surrounded the area close to the School Gate.

The elementals were standing in the front row of the line, followed by the school guards, security, teachers and instructors.

We, the students were standing closely behind them all.

We waited and waited.

After some hours of waiting, we finally got something from the air elements.

"They're here!!!!" One of the Air element Guards yelled out and his voice roared spreading across the whole field of students.

This is really happening.
