CASSIE'S POV 🌀~
"They're here!" One of the guards yelled out and everyone stayed on alert.
This is really happening. I thought to myself.
This was not what I signed up for when I was brought here.
After some minutes passed, we heard a loud voice coming from outside the Gates.
"Elementals of this school! Surrender yourselves and your students to us this instant and perhaps we will show mercy to you all." The voice roared through the field.
"You have 60 seconds to surrender yourselves. Put your prides aside and surrender at once." The voice continued.
The principal and her fellow elementals, Madeline's mother and Phoebe's father made their way outside the gates.
"What are they doing?" I asked Sage who was standing right beside me.
"They want to plead for a truce in other to avoid this war, but I doubt it'll be of any good." She replied.
I focused back on the elementals as they made their way outside.
Once they were outside the gates, the gates closed back behind them. We couldn't see what was happening outside.
"Good day to be from the Air element. It'd be good to hear what they're saying." Cara said.
I looked over to Phoebe and saw she was focused with her hair tucked back behind her ears.
I used my own powers to find their minds.
I focused on The principal's mind.
It was a difficult task for me to do as there were so so many loud minds around the whole field.
When I finally got a hold of her mind, since it was too strong for me to read, I focused around the voices close to her.
"I can see them." I say out loud.
"Really??" I heard Sage ask.
"Cassie that's great." Cara said.
"What are they talking about?" Madeline asked me.
[OUTSIDE THE GATES ~]
{Oh look at you three. You've aged.} Xavier said to the elementals cockily.
{Xavier?? I should have known. How could you betray us like this? You were one of us.} Mrs stone said to him.
{Betray? Whatever do you mean. I'm just doing the right thing. Finishing What Henry Fairchild failed to accomplish.} Xavier said.
"Henry Fairchild." I say out loud.
"What?" Sage asked.
"Cassie tell us what you see." Madeline said.
"They're talking about her father." I heard Phoebe say.
{Henry Fairchild realized what he was doing was wrong. That is why he never went through with his plans in the first place.} Phoebe's father said.
{He was weak. Influenced by a common woman. He wasn't strong enough to lead. But I am. Look where we are now.} Xavier said and smirked.
{It was you, wasn't it?}The principal asked Xavier.
{It was me what?} He asked.
{I ask you Xavier, Did you have a hand in the death of Henry and Eloise Fairchild?} Sage's Mom asked him.
Xavier kept a straight face for seconds before plastering his face with a smirk.
{Of course I did. Like i said, Henry was weak, and it was all because of that Eloise. I had to take charge and do want I needed to do for the crusade to triumph.} Xavier said.
I immediately lost hold of her mind.
"Oh my God." I said out loud.
"Cassie? Are you back? You seemed not to be hearing us. What was happening?" Cara asked me.
I was filled with rage and was completely furious.
I looked at Phoebe and saw she was already looking at me.
She must have also heard everything. So did everyone with the Air element.
"Your father murdered my parents." I said emotionlessly to Cara.
She furrowed her eyebrows.
"What?" She asked sounding defeated.
"Cassie I'm so sorry." Cara apologized to me.
"There's no point Cara. They're still dead." I said suddenly feeling waves of rage.
Xavier wants a war. I'll give him war.
I decided there and then that I would return the favour to him.
He would share the same fate as my parents did.
"What is happening now?" Madeline asked.
I closed my eyes and attached myself to Mrs stone's mind.
{Xavier. There's still a chance for you to redeem yourself. Stop this war. Tell your people to retreat. It doesn't have to end this way.} The principal said to him but he laughed in her face.
{And why would I do that? If anyone should retreat, it should be you and your little school. You have no idea what we have in stock for you.} He threatened them.
{Very well then. Have it your way. Every death that happens today, will be on your hands, not ours.} The principal said to him.
{So you don't want to surrender? I see. Stubborn as always. Tell me does your people know what you are? Do they know about your little secret?} Xavier asked the principal.
{What is he on about?} Phoebe's father asked the principal.
{Nothing. Can't possibly trust a single word coming out from the mouth of this traitor.} The principal said.
{Wow. They don't know about your extra powers, do they? About your children's extra powers too.} Xavier said and chuckled nastily.
{What is he talking about? Tell me it isn't true.} Phoebe's father said to the principal.
{It is. I won't deny it. I apologize for keeping that from you all. But we must remain focused on the threat at hand.} The principal said coldly.
{We will deal with that issue later. Xavier, since you've chosen not to surrender then the war shall begin.} Mrs Stone said to him.
{Very well then.} Xavier said and smirked.
He turned back to give his fellow Murderous elders a nod. I particularly recognized someone's face. Angelica.
She had the most mischievous grin on her face.
The elementals made their way back inside the school Gates.
I quickly exited Mrs stone's mind.
"Everyone! Brace yourselves, for the time we've all been preparing for is at hand. Do what you must to survive. Do not let them defeat you." The principal said to everyone.
She wanted to say something else, but was caught by surprise when Numerous large balls of fire was in the air, coming straight for us all in the field.
"Take cover!!! Everyone conjure your shields!!!" She yelled and then everyone in the field conjured up shields and held it above their heads.
I didn't need to conjure a shield. I had a force field energy acting as a shield for me.
The rain of balls of fire kept falling onto the shields of everyone.
It was hot, but it wasn't touching my skin.
I stood firmly not scared of the fire. I had confidence in my ability.
After the rain of fire stopped. The next thing that blew up was the Gates.
The loud blowing sound of the gates made me shake in fear for a bit. I wasn't expecting that loud bang.
Everyone in the field stood quietly, waiting for the next thing to happen.
Gigantic monsters came through the entrance, there were about 50 of them.
Their eyes pitch black, their nails so long and sharp, their bodies as black as midnight smoke.
"Not these guys first." Sage said aspirated.
The monsters observed us for some seconds before increasing their paces towards us.
Before they could reach us, a large wall made of Stone erupted from the ground all round the entrance and blocked the monsters way to us.
The monsters tried to knock the wall down with their strength, but everyone from the earth element joined forces. They all held the wall with their powers, making the wall extra strong.
I smiled. This could work.
It didn't take long before we saw incoming of another set of rain of balls of fire.
Everyone was distracted and instantly created a shield to deflect the flame.
But that gave the monsters the opportunity to knock down the solid wall.
The monsters increased in their speed and started knocking people out of the way.
One of them succeeded in getting it's nails on the forehead of one of the guards. Trying to take his powers.
"No!" Phoebe's father pushed the monster far back away from the guard with Heavy Air.
Everyone conjured up a weapon and attacked the monsters at the same time.
I conjured up a Sword. I admired the beauty of the sword for a few seconds before launching towards the monsters.
I saw one of the monsters struggling with Some group of students.
I went towards their side and stopped the monster with my mind.
I made the monster kneel and one of the fire students set it ablaze.
I did the same with any of the monsters I came close to.
One by one, all the monsters were taken down. But sadly a few students didn't survive this first phase of attack.
I searched the crowd for familiar faces.
I saw Jake way in front of the line with Damon.
Saw Cara by the corner. Sage not too far from me. Phoebe too.
Madeline was standing right beside me.
We were all tired out. But we stood strong, waiting for another attack.
After some minutes passed, they all made their way inside our school.
All of them. All in black attires.
They were much in number. Probably more than we were.
They all had smirks plastered on their faces.
I saw those kids. Those little minions of Mr Ken. I'd like to have a one on one fight with anyone of them.
Before I knew what was happening, another fight broke out. Everyone was throwing fire, water spikes, stones, ice and the rest of them.
I had my eyes solely on Xavier. I was going to pay him back for what he did to my parents.

JAKE'S POV 🔥🔥🔥
Everything was happening so fast, but in admist all the chaos, I still kept an eye on Cara and Cassie.
I wouldn't let any harm come to them.
I planned on avoiding my Father through out. I don't want to face him after everything he's done. I'm ashamed of him.
I kept dodging the impact of any attack with my shield as I threw several fire balls at the opponents.
I caught a glimpse of the boy with blue flames and he immediately caught my eyes and smirked.
I saw him clearing everyone in his path with his flames. He was coming to my direction.
I made my way to him as well.
"Well well well. We meet again." He said to me.
"Show me the best you've got."I said to him.
"Oh I will." He said and conjured up a Sword and I did the same.

DAMON'S POV 🌊🌊🌊
"Hey ice princess. How about some splash." I said and sent a swirl of water to one of girls I fought the other day.
She was drenched.
I chuckled and that made her furious.
She created ice spikes and sent them my way.
I conjured a shield and was able to dodge the impact.
I created some Ice spikes as well and sent her way. She dodged them with her ice shield.
"That's not very fun is it?" I asked her after she dodged it all and was almost breathless from exhaustion.
"I'm gonna k*ll you!" She said furiously.
"Ahhh I'm counting on it." I said in a mocking tone and that set her off once more.
She began to freeze me.
Oh no. I couldn't move my feet as they were beginning to glue together.
She smirked and continued.
I raised my hands to do some magic but she was faster than I, she immediately froze my hands.
I'm a goner.
The ice made it's way to my chest area and suddenly the coldness stopped.
All the ice started melting away from my body.
And I was completely free.
I looked at the girl and she seemed to be in some sort of pain.
I turned around to see Sage not too far from me, with her piercing glowing blue eyes on the ice girl.
I watched as the girl put her own hands on her chest and froze herself with a horrific look on her face.
"Diabolical. Sister, you have now officially become the most awesome person ever." I said to Sage and she smirked at me and ran off to fight someone else who's unfortunate.
A ball of fire flew over my face and I turned to see who had sent it.
"Great. More dragon breaths." I said and rolled my eyes before launching a water whip on the guy.

MADELINE'S POV⛰️⛰️⛰️⛰️
"Wanna play some more pretty boy?" I asked the handsome Earth boy as we threw giant rocks at each other.
"Are you always this talkative during a fight?" He asked me looking tired out himself.
"Yeah. All the time. Have to make small talk no matter the situation." I say to him and sent some dust particles into his eyes.
"You bitch!! My eyes!" He yelled out.
"I'm sorry, do you need some help? Well you shouldn't have come to my school in the first place!. Now eat more sand!" I said to him and sent more particles of sand to him and he was almost buried In it because he shook the ground I was standing on, making me fall to the ground.
Ouch.

SAGE'S POV 🌊 🌊 🌊
I didn't know I'd enjoy this war as much as I'm enjoying it now.
The adrenaline was top notch.
Everyone I fight can't figure out why their bodies are turning against them.
The look of confusion and horror on their faces is beautiful to watch.
I kept using my extra powers secretly, and it's been a lot of help.

CASSIE'S POV 🌀 🌀 🌀
After I cleared everyone on my path, it was a pretty easy thing for me to do. I just made anyone that came for me to fall asleep.
My target was Xavier and that little miss grumpy pants girl.
Luckily for me I came across her. Little Miss grumpy pants. Finally.
"Hey remember me?" I said to her and smirked.
She wanted to charge towards me but I paused her on her track.
"Not so fast. Didn't you know? I have my powers now. You'd be a fool to try to attack me." I said to her and she stood there looking at me, unmoving.
"This is too easy. I thought you'd give me a good fight but... I'm disappointed." I said to her.
"Now slap yourself. Continue doing that till I tell you to stop. Don't go anywhere, I'll be back." I said to her and winked.
She started smacking herself on the face periodically.
I moved forward, looking all over the field for Xavier.
"Where is he?" I said to myself.
I kept scanning the crowd, it was way too loud to get into anyone's mind to search so I just searched with my eyes.
Finally I spotted him.
I walked towards him calculatively.
When I was inches close to him, he finally noticed me.
"Cassie. How unpleasant to see you again." He said to me.
"Likewise. Murderer." I said spitefully to him.
"Ohh. You must have overheard somehow my conversation with the elementals. That's too bad for you." He said to me unremorseful.
"You're not even sorry are you? About what you did?" I asked him.
"I did what I did for a just cause. So why would I be remorseful." He said to me and smirked.
"Thank you for being honest. Atleast I won't feel bad after I k*ll you." I said to me.
"You can't possibly k*ll me. You love my son don't you. If you k*ll me, Jake will hate you forever." He said to me.
"No he won't. He hates you too." I said to him.
"Even if he hates me, I'm still his father. And I'm telling you, he will never forgive you." He said to me and smirked.
I clenched my fist and I raised my hands to shut him up but I suddenly lost control.
I wasn't thinking straight anymore.
I brought my hands down abruptly and knelt down before Xavier.
What is happening?
I can't move. I feel numb.
I saw Mr Ken from the corner of my eyes as he joined Xavier.
He was holding a staff with a glowing bulb.
"Ahh Ken. It's nice of you to join me. I'm surprised the staff worked on her. Made of Her own magic but still working against her. Astounding." I heard Xavier say.
What? They stole my magic?
How?
Oh no. It's the blood. That's why he took my blood when I was kidnapped.
"What? Do you wish to say something dear? Sadly you can't. Because I'm in control of you now." Xavier said to me and smiled.
"Let the girl go Xavier." I heard someone say. It sounded like The principal.
I looked at her from the corner of my eye.
"And what are you going to do about it madam principal? What could you possibly do against the power of the fifth element." Xavier said as he took the staff from Mr Ken.
Mr Ken started squirming in pain and collapsed on the ground but Xavier immediately made the principal kneel with magic from the staff as well.
The principal tried to fight it as she struggled to stand up on her feet again.
Xavier hit her with another wave of magic and she gave in and knelt down.
He went towards her with a sinister look on his face.
"You killed Ken, my trusted henchman, and for that you'll pay with your life." Xavier said to the principal.
"Go....to .....hell..l." she muttered under forced breath.
"No. But You can go first." Xavier said and set the principal ablaze without blinking twice.
My eyes widened in shock as I watched her burn.
He k*lled her.
I tried to move but I couldn't no matter how much I tried. My mind was numbing my whole body.
"No!!!!!!!! Mother!" I heard Sage running towards our direction.
Oh no. Sage don't. He'll k*ll you too.
"Hmm the offspring is here." Xavier said.
"You!!!" Sage charged at him with anger but was completely shut down. She fell numb on her feet.
"Now back to you." Xavier said to me and walked towards me pointing the staff to me. "What ever shall I do with you now?" He asked.
I suddenly saw some struggling on his face. His hands were shaking, and the staff almost fell out from his hands, but he quickly turned back to Sage and saw it was her doing.
"Don't breathe." Xavier said to Sage before the staff fell off his hands.
I saw Sage as she started suffocating. Struggling to breathe.
Xavier got control of his hands again and wanted to pick up the staff but the staff flew off to another direction.
I saw Phoebe with the corner of my eyes.
It was her.
"Another offspring of the elementals." Xavier said out loud.
"Let my friends go!" She yelled at him.
"I'm not holding them." Xavier said innocently.
"As a matter of fact you just moved the staff that was keeping them captive." He said and smiled.
Phoebe wanted to run off to find the staff but was suddenly surrounded by fire.
"Not so fast." Xavier said.
"I'm tired of you little offsprings challenging me." He said and enclosed Phoebe with more fire.
"Stop it!!" I heard Cara's voice.
"Oh my. Cara my dear." He said to her.
"Cara destroy the staff!!" Phoebe yelled out to her.
Cara's eye caught a glimpse of the staff laying on the ground not too far.
She sent a ball of fire to it and the staff was destroyed.
"No!!!!!!! What have you done?" Xavier yelled out.
I suddenly felt released. I had my free will back.
I quickly ran over to Sage's side to check on her.
I was too late. She wasn't breathing anymore.
No. It can't be. She can't be dead.
"Sage? Sage!!! Sage wake up!!!" I shaked her hoping she would react but nothing was happening.
"No. No no no no. Sage come on!" I kept shaking her but she wasn't responding.
"Her heart's not beating. She's dead." Phoebe said and started crying.
"Noo.....Sage." Cara sobbed.
"You!! You did this! Now it's your turn." I said and stood up angrily from Where I was.
I seized his own breath and he started struggling for air, choking.
"Cassie no!!!" I was distracted by Jake's voice.
"Jake." I called out his name.
"Don't do it Cassie. Please." He pleaded with me.
"No. He k*lled Sage and her mother. He k*lled them both right before my eyes. I can't spare him. I'm sorry." I said to him.
"Cassie if you k*ll him, then you've stooped down to his level. Please don't do it. I'm begging you." He continued pleading.
"No Jake. I don't mind stooping down to his level if it means he gets what he deserves." I say to him.
"I don't want you to lose yourself. Please Cassie."
"Why are you still defending him after everything he's done!." I snapped at Jake.
"I'm not. I'm not defending him. He will be punished the right way. But not this way." He said to me.
"No Jake. This is the only way he deserves to go. I'm sorry but I have to do this." I said to Jake and paused him so he wouldn't stop me anymore.
"I'm sorry Cara." I said to her and she nodded with tears in her eyes.
"Now. Xavier. Your heart will beat so slowly as you lose your breath. All your organs failing you. Your skin shrinking in on you. Your death, an excruciatingly painful one. That is what you deserve." I said to him and I watched him as he fell to the ground. His skin shrinking, and him slowly losing his breath.
I watched him as he died an excruciating death.
Only then was I satisfied.

EPILOGUE~
Thankfully the school didn't completely get destroyed after the war.
The earth elements slowly built it up back, bit by bit.
It was the day of the funeral of all those that was lost during the war.
Each elements buried their own whom was lost.
The principal, Sage, Mrs stone, And lots more from all the different elements.
We all mourned for them.
"Hey. Are you okay?" I asked Madeline.
She was still sobbing softly.
"I can't believe she's gone. My mother. She didn't even get to tell me how proud of me she was, or that she loved me. Now I'll never know." She said.
I hugged and consoled her.
"I'm really really sorry about what happened to her. I'm very sure she was proud of you. And of course she loved you very much. Who wouldn't?" I said to her and patted her back gently.
"Thank you Cassie." She said and sniffled.
"Hey have you talked to Jake yet?" She asked me.
""He doesn't want to talk to me and I don't blame him."" I said honestly
"You did the right thing Cassie. Don't ever feel bad." She said to me.
"I know." I said and gave a halfhearted smile.
"I need to go somewhere. I'll see you later." I said to her and left to go find Damon.
I haven't seen him at all since after the war.
"Hey. Can I sit?" I asked him.
"It's a free world." He replied dryly.
"I don't even know where to begin. I'm so so sorry about what happened. I couldn't do anything to help them....I..." I was now sobbing.
"Hey don't. Don't do that. It's not your fault. It's all quite unfortunate. My Mom had that coming, but Sage, she didn't deserve to die. She's a good kid and I was supposed to take care of her." Damon said trying to hold back his tears.
"I know. I know. I'm so sorry Damon." I said and hugged him.
We sat in silence for hours before I decided to take a walk on my own.
I was walking aimlessly round the school premises and finally decided to go upstairs to the abandoned building.
It Felt like I haven't been up here in ages now.
I stood at the balcony observing the students passing by.
When I was satisfied with people watching, I decided to leave but then I saw Jake standing by the entrance.
"Jake. I didn't hear you come in." I said to him.
"That's because I Was already here when you came in." He said to me.
I nodded.
I gave him one last look before deciding to leave but he stopped me by my arms.
"Wait." He said.
"What? I thought you didn't want to see me or have anything to do with me." I said to him.
"How did you come to that conclusion?" He asked me.
"I read minds remember?" I reminded him.
"I told you to stop that. A person's mind is personal. It's not something or somewhere you can visit anytime you please just because you can." He said sounding angry.
"Right. Sorry. It won't happen again." I said to him.
"Look Cassie, I still care about you. So much and I know it might not seem like it right now. But I just need some time to process everything. Despite everything he's done, he was still my father, and you k*lled him, right before my eyes. It's going to take a while for me to accept that." He said to me and I nodded.
"Noted. But I'm not going to apologize Jake because I'm not sorry about what I did to him. And I still care about you too. But your father murdered my parents and my friend. It'll take alot of time for me to process and accept that too. I gotta go. Till when ever we meet again." I say to him and left the abandoned building.
After a few weeks after the war, I decided that it was time for me to go visit my Mom back at home. Back to civilization.
I smiled at the thought.
I told Phoebe's Father who was now the new principal of the school about my plans of paying my Mom a visit and he approved.
"I'm definitely coming with you. I need to get away from here for a while." Madeline said to me.
"Me too. Can I come too?" Phoebe pleaded.
I laughed at both of them. "Of course. You both can come with." I say to them and they cheered.
On the day of the visiting, I was granted a black SUV and assigned bodyguards to go with us.
As the car drove into civilization, I felt a sense of homeliness.
Once we got to our front door, the car came to a stop.
I'm home.
I came down from the car with Madeline and Phoebe and knocked on the door.
The door was opened and I saw my Mom standing right in front of me.
"Mom?" I called her and started sobbing.
"Cassie? Oh my goodness, Cassie!!! You're back! You came back to me. My daughter, I missed you so much." She hugged me tightly and started sobbing as well.
"Let's go inside. And you can tell me everything that happened." She said to me and smiled.
I smiled back at her wholeheartedly and entered my old house, together with Madeline and Phoebe.
I've never felt so at peace.
