Chapter 53 - CHAPTER 52

THE FIFTH ELEMENT 🔥🌊⛰️🌪️🌀

~Chapter 52🌪️🌪️🌪️~

~ CASSIE'S POV 🌀🌀🌀🌀 ~

"Hey." I say to Jake when he came closer to where we were standing.

"Cassie. Good to see you." He said to me.

"Yeah. Did you hear? The war is happening tomorrow." I say to him.

"Yeah. I know. I'm really sorry." He apologized.

"Why? It's not your fault. It's no one's fault." I assured him.

He smiled at me and gave me a small nod.

"Hmm hello? There are other people standing here too you know." Madeline butted in.

Jake simply gave them a small acknowledgment nod.

~~~~~
After a few minutes of making sure everyone was properly arranged, our instructors started off with demonstrations of what we're to do.
"Now everyone, there are certain things we should know when in combat with another element. If you have fire magic, get ready to attack more often in combat, your magic is Chaos and very destructive, you don't need to suppress it, just attack with every technique you know, that is why your element is mostly for the offense. Your magic is the most destructive of all the other elements but that doesn't mean you should underestimate other elements, if you let your guard down, you will be defeated. And your powers mostly contrast and clash with the water element so try not to attack them much as often." The Instructor Instructed.
"Hope you can learn one or two from this." Sage said to Cara and Cara rolled her eyes at her.
"Now for the air elements, stop holding yourselves back, you guys are literally unstoppable and very durable. You might think that your power is good for just defense, but no it's not. It's actually good for both defense and offense. Your power can be turned to one of the deadliest if you wish. You control Air, what could be more powerful than that. Think of all the damage you can actually do. I know we don't teach you guys the deadly sides of your magic, but I think it's time to take off the safety guards. Then put them back on after the war. Your power mostly clashes with fire elements and earth elements. So be careful when using it on them. Air fuels fire, and the earth is unmovable, attacking them could be doing them more good than harm. So focus more on others." The instructor explained.
"Wow. That's impressive." I said and gave Phoebe an approval nod and she smiled.
"For the earth elements, my fellow Earth elements, our magic might just be the strongest of all. We are rigid and strong. We can move the earth below our feet, we can sense vibrational forces, We can Create earthquakes, we can nurture nature, we can give life to trees around us. We can control the earth and that... makes us strong, if not the strongest. Our power is the second most Chaos and dangerous after the fire elements. But of course there is always clashes, water and fire elements can be challenging to us, so careful when around them." The instructor explained.
"Now. The water element. One of the most powerful elements there is. Beautiful to behold but also very dangerous. Water can act as both defense and offense. It is very durable and Can withstand any stress thrown at it's way. You can do so much with just a tiny drop of water. Your clashes are mostly with earth and Air." The instructor continued.
"So do you ever plan on using your powers again? Especially during this war. If you don't use them, you'll be pretty much useless out there. Just so you know." Cara said to Sage.
"I know." Sage replied.
"So moving on.... I need you all to pay attention to details how everything is done. Each head of the elements will demonstrate on some techniques you'll repeat on your own. Let's begin with Fire." The instructor said and signalled One of the seniors in the Fire clan to start the demo.
"Okay students. Watch and learn. This first technique is one of the ultimate techniques in fire elements." The Fire senior said.
He took a deep breath and let out some heavy steam that came out from his mouth with closed eyes. When he opened up his eyes, they were fiery orange and glowing.
He spread out both of his hands and moved them sideways and halted. His hands caught flame immediately, then the flame kept spreading through out his body till he was completely made out of fire.
Everyone gasped and was surprised at this. Apparently no one from the fire element has gone completely flame on.
"Whoa. That is so hot." Cara said and was astonished.
"I can do that too." Jake blurted out.
We all turned to look at him.
"Huh?" Cara questioned.
"I can. But I don't really do it outside. Let's say the after effects is kinda embarrassing." Jake explained.
"Embarrassing how?" I asked him.
"You lose all your clothes. So you have to have an extra pair somewhere near by." Jake said to me.
"Oh. You mean..... you'd be naked afterwards. Ohh." I said to him and he nodded awkwardly.
"Yeah.... no I'm not doing that." Cara said.
"As you can see, in this state, I am destruction itself. It is a very dangerous phase, do not result to it unless it really calls for it." The fire senior said to everyone.
His voice was so different in this state.
He walked behind a shed and we couldn't see him anymore.
After a few seconds, he came out wearing a different pair of clothes.
"As you can see, the fire completely destroyed my uniform, I had to quickly change into another piece." He said and everyone started murmuring.
"Moving on to the second technique. Which most of us already know. Shooting fire from our fingertips. This is very basic but also very effective." He said and all his fingertips flamed up.
He shut bolts of fire from his fingertips into the air and everyone clapped.
"Generally just learn to control your fire. And You can do anything you will." He said and everyone clapped once more.
"Okay. Now for the Air element. Let me show you some new tricks that is very important." The Air element senior said.
He set out his palms and waves of air circulated a spot in the field until it from a big turnado.
Everyone stood firmly on the ground to avoid being swept up by the pressure of air circulating.
After the turnado, he drew some air and sent it on his feet.
The air lifted him up in the sky.
Wow. They can actually fly. I can't believe this.
He increased his speed and flew around the field with the air around him.
"As you can see, if you generate enough air, you can do anything." He said and landed on the ground.
"Moving on with earth magic. Watch attentively." The earth element senior said.
She hit her foot on the ground with enough force and put both her hands in the air and suddenly the ground started shaking.
Everyone was surprised at this.
Solid wall of rock erupted from the cracks on the ground all the way up.
She hit her foot on the ground again and the wall retreated back inside the ground.
"That is so cool." I say and Madeline agreed with me.
"Everyone of you with earth element can do exactly as I did. And more." She said to everyone.
"For the water elements, watch closely." The water senior said.
She summoned water from the fountain near by and it was floating right above her.
She increased the mass of the water and it grew bigger.
She lowered the water on herself and We could all see her through the transparent water as her eyes glowed blue, she moved her hands sideways and some of the water shaped into a snakelike form. The water snake made it's way to us students on the field. Everyone lowered their heads to dodge it.
The water snake went back into the water, and the wall of water rushed back into the fountain.
"If that water whip had gotten a hold of anyone here, it would have squashed and squeezed you into oblivion." She explained.
"How is she not wet, after all that water?" I asked Sage.
"She created a safe space where the water mustn't touch and stood in between." Sage explained.
"Ohhhh interesting." I said.
"Okay that would be all for the demonstrations. Now students time to train!" The instructor said and the crowd scattered once more.
~~~

After hours and hours of training in the field, the principal finally called for me.

She was standing in the other side of the field with the other elementals.

Been a while I saw them all.

"Oh hi." I say to them.

"Cassie. Thanks for coming. We need to ask you some questions about what happened while you were away." She said to me.

"But I thought we've already gone through that last night." I said to her.

"I know but I need you to think deeper. Maybe you've remembered something else that took place."

"Okay. Ummm ...Well I guess there was a time Mr Ken took a few drops of my blood. I have no idea why he did that." I said to them and they exchanged looks.

"Let us pray to the heavens it's not what I'm thinking. Cassie I need to ask, how advanced are you now with your powers?" They asked me.

"I can do alot of things. " I say to them.

"Like what and what exactly dear?" Mrs stone asked me.

"I can persuade the mind, Read minds but that one's a little rusty, and I can apparently stop people from moving. Also...." I trailed off.

"Also.. what?" The air elemental said.

"I have a shield.... protecting me ....from.... attack." I say to them unsure if it was right telling them this.

"Wow. This is even better than I thought." Mrs stone said.

"Thank you for sharing with us Cassie. We're going to help you practice. You will be our biggest asset out there tomorrow." The principal said to me.

"Okayyy."I said to them.

"How much do they know about your powers?" They asked me.

"Not much. I didn't even get to use it much. They blocked my powers." I say to them.

"Oh yes, that could be a problem. We need to find a way to deflect that. We can't have them blocking our magic even before the war starts." The principal said.

"Is there even a way to do that?" I asked her.

"There is. A potion. It will be put in the water supply tonight to be ingested by everyone of us. That'll keep whatever chemical they concocted from blocking our powers." She replied.

"Ohhh. Didn't know we had something like that." I say.

~~~~~~
After all the elementals each gave me a training on how to control my powers, I decided to take a quick lunch break.
"Oh my goodness, I am so exhausted, are they trying to k*ll us before the actual war tomorrow? I'm going to get blisters on my palms!" Madeline whined.
"My entire insides are so hot. I need to cool off." Cara added.
"I don't feel exhausted. Tomorrow isn't going to be funny. We are going to be on the chopping block, we need every training we can get if we want to survive." Phoebe said honestly.
"She's right. Some of us might not survive tomorrow's war. We should put in everything we've got." Sage supported her.
"What about you, did you try using your powers?" I asked Sage.
"I did." She said simply.
"And??" Cara further questioned.
"And what? What are you expecting to hear Cara?" Sage asked.
"Nothing. Just curious." Cara said.
After lunch, everyone set out back into the field.
"Sage! I need you and your brother in the field now!" The principal said to Sage.
"Great. Just great. See you guys later." Sage said to us and followed her mother.
"Okay. See ya later Cassie." Madeline said and everyone scattered back into the field.
