The Lightning Assassin was the name given to a legendary assassin who had assassinated powerful emperors in the dozens. He was known for his incredible speed, and prowess in combat. Nobody ever caught him because he was simply too fast, and no one knows if he's even dead, but he's certainly one of the strongest assassins ever to exist because he had killed a god without even being in the demigod realm.
It was said that he was from a strange race known as the lightning spawn. They are supposed to be incredibly rare, and are condensed from centuries of accumulating power inside of lightning clouds, and at their peak are supposed to be faster than the speed of light. It was simply incredible.
The first thing to obtaining the Lightning Assassin's legacy would be to become a lightning spawn, however obtaining one of these bloodlines would be incredibly difficult. It was like searching for a needle in a haystack.
As such Alex decided to go pick up Xi, and go exploring in the nearby thunder-type maps.
"Hey Star, I got a lot of new gear, especially from those chests that we got from killing the boss." Xi happily skipped towards her.
That reminded Alex of the 2 epic skill chests that she had been awarded for becoming the heir to the Dark Street along with the attribute points that came with it.
She quickly opened the 2 epic skill chests receiving 2 epic tutoring crystals.

Her stats were unbelievable, and her gear was incredible, and as such they decided to go grind in the level 10-20 map known as Thunder Mountain, it was a mountain that was constantly shrouded in thunderclouds, and was the most accessible place that had a chance of holding a lightning spawn bloodline.
There were many monsters up the mountain, but with Alex's extraordinary stats it was no problem to deal with them, and they gathered quite an amount of coinage.
That was until they met a boss halfway up the mountain. A lightning tiger that was incredibly powerful blocked their path.
