At the Black Owls' Base:
Science Team: Teleporter is set to destination. We're ready to take off.
Abdullah: Very well.
In his thoughts:"That bastard… he's definitely gotten himself into trouble. There's a 100% chance he argued with the cult members and started a fight. If the Cult's forces arrive before us, he'll…"
Science Team: Ready… one, two, three—start!
The Teleporter activates. A device originally created by Nikola Tesla in 1938, it changed the course of the world. It runs on a rare fuel mainly found in the former Russian regions like Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
At Petropavl:
Chief: That sword… it's an imperial one. (smirking) So, you're one of the war heroes.
Mikael: You're gonna love how I cut you down.
The Chief draws his sword. Both clash—metal ringing through the air.
Mikael's eyes widen—he's shocked at the Chief's speed.
Inner thoughts:"He swings like he's been fighting for decades… and judging by his looks, he's older than me. If I'm not wrong, he must've been one of Russia's elite soldiers."
The Chief slashes—Mikael takes a cut on his hand.
Mikael: Tch… damn it!
Chief: So, you are an amateur after all.
Mikael: Phew… I was getting bored, but you gave me some good blows. Now, I'll reward you.
Mikael suddenly fires his gun. At the same instant the Chief tries to dodge, Mikael's sword cuts through his hands.
Chief: AHHHHHHHH! Damn you!
Mikael pulls back his sword, turning his gaze to the child.
Mikael: Looks like he's unconscious… (tired voice)
Chief: Bastard!! You have no idea what you've done!
Mikael: Oh, I know, I know. He'll come kill me, right?
Chief: Ughhh… You've ruined a great sacrifice. He won't just kill you… he'll make your life hell! (blood pouring, voice weakening)
Mikael: You talk too much.
He swings—decapitating the Chief.
Moments later, the Black Owls arrive.
Abdullah: Hurry, remove all evidence. We can't create an international scene.
Soldiers: Yes, sir!
Abdullah: I told you not to interfere.
Mikael: And I did.
Abdullah: Mikael! Do you realize it's not just about you—
Mikael: He was going to sacrifice that boy. I stopped it.
Abdullah: Do you still think you're a hero? (taunting)
Mikael: I know I'm not. But we've been under heavy attacks from them since last year.
Abdullah: But…
Soldier: Sir, what should we do about the kid?
Abdullah: …
Mikael: Give him some clothes and leave him at Tines.
(Tines is an orphanage where children are raised and trained to become warriors, like Mikael and Abdullah once were.)
Abdullah: Do you really think this kid can handle that?
Mikael: If he was meant to be a sacrifice, then he must have something special.
Mikael: Now, if you don't mind, can we head back? I'm starving.
Abdullah: …You never change. (smiles faintly)
