The Attack on Blackowls Base
As the day of the attack on Blackowls' base arrived, everything seemed calm. Too calm. Like there was nothing to worry about, everything just felt settled.
Both Mikael and Abdullah were on leave.
It felt like the silence before the storm.
Suddenly, the main gate collapsed, and Darkforce soldiers stormed the base, rushing one after another.
Captain Eli (shocked):"The fck's happening?! How did they get in—"*
A rock fell toward him, but Rums pulled him away, grabbing his shoulder.
Captain Rums (calm but tense):"On your feet! If we tremble, our soldiers will do the same. Offense team—handle the intruders! Delta—block the entrances, don't let them push further! Teles, give me reports. Wait—where the fck is the Commander?!"*
Through the mist, both Mikael and Abdullah entered the base.
Abdullah grabbed a soldier with his bare hands.Mikael destroyed machine guns with a laser pistol.
The entire base froze in shock. To see the commanders of the Blackowls destroy their own home felt like something worse than betrayal.
Captain Eli & Rums (in unison, stunned):"How could they—?!"
Before they could finish, Abdullah knocked them out cold.
Sannan (a female soldier, Mikael's underling) faced him with trembling hands, but was knocked down easily. Instead of striking fatally, Mikael made her unconscious with precision.
Sheraz (walking in from behind, steady):"I've destroyed the controls. You should head to his quarters. We don't have much time."
Both Mikael and Abdullah ran toward the Commander's quarters. The hallways were littered with injured members of Delta and dozens of soldiers lying motionless.
Abdullah stopped to check on them, but Mikael pressed forward, cutting through wave after wave of resistance until finally—
He reached the quarters of Commander Shah.
Mikael (slamming the door open):"Greetings, my lord."
Shah (looking at him with a calm smile):"So, you came to attack after all. I knew this day would come. After all, Mikael, you never let anyone go against your will. In truth—you want to control everything, and yet you can't."
Shah reached for his sword—but Mikael struck first. Their blades clashed as Shah countered.
Shah (loosening his cloak, smirking with confidence):"Looks like this time, I'll have to teach you a lesson. Mikael Mohsin… COME AND GET ME!"
Mikael (snarling):"As you wish, bastrd!"*
The hall echoed with silence—until Mikael lunged first. His boots slammed against stone, blade flashing toward Shah's throat.
But Shah didn't flinch. With a smooth twist of his wrist, he parried, steel meeting steel in a burst of sparks.
Shah (calm, almost laughing):"You're too eager."
Mikael gritted his teeth. He's testing me. Not this time. He spun low, slashing at Shah's legs—a move that would've dropped any soldier.
But Shah moved as if he had seen it a thousand times before. His elbow slammed into Mikael's ribs, knocking the air from his lungs.
Pain exploded through him, but Mikael refused to fall. He wiped blood from his lip and smirked.
Mikael (defiant):"Was that all?"
For the first time, Shah's eyes narrowed.
Mikael surged again—faster, sharper—each strike fueled by fury. Steel rang, fists cracked against flesh, the chamber shaking with their struggle. Mikael's knuckles split. Shah's shoulder bled. Neither yielded.
Shah's attacks were merciless—each swing heavy enough to shatter bone. Mikael's arms shook, palms split open, but he held.
One crushing blow hurled him across the floor. Mikael crashed into stone, coughing blood.
Shah (snarling as he advanced):"Stay down. You've fought bravely. Don't make this pathetic."
Mikael staggered to his knees, vision blurred. Every instinct screamed to stop. But he dragged himself upright, blade trembling in his hands.
Mikael (rasping, stubborn):"I can't… stay down. Not when everything depends on it."
He roared and lunged. Their swords locked, sparks flying. Shah pressed with all his strength—but Mikael held, teeth clenched, refusing to give way.
Shah (furious):"You're only alive because of your stubbornness!"
Mikael (countering, slashing upward):"That's exactly why I'll win!"
The strike glanced Shah's arm, drawing blood. His eyes widened in disbelief.
Now Mikael pressed harder—his strikes raw, desperate, unstoppable. Shah's elegance faltered against Mikael's sheer willpower.
Finally, Mikael feinted low—then slashed across Shah's side. Blood sprayed. The commander staggered, stunned.
Shah (gasping, knees buckling):"You… you actually—"
Mikael cut him off with a furious overhead strike, shattering Shah's guard and dropping him to the floor.
Silence.
Mikael stood over him, chest heaving, blade trembling.
Shah (coughing blood, voice strained):"You… WHY DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?! Those weapons are the reason we have peace! People fear what they can't control. That fear keeps order. Without it—chaos will reign."
Mikael raised his sword high. For a heartbeat, time froze. Then the blade fell—ending the war between them.
It wasn't just a fight. It was proof. Proof of perseverance. Proof of resilience.
Both men collapsed back, exhausted.
Shah (laughing through blood, crawling):"Hahaha… You know what, Mikael? You are special. That's why you chose to stand against me… and even Zodiac."
Mikael (shocked):"Huh—?! Wait, how do you…?"
Shah (grinning with blood-stained teeth):"I knew you'd become a threat after that conversation. So, I made a deal with Zodiac. I don't need an army anymore. I don't need you. With what he gave me… I'll be unstoppable."
Mikael (furious, pointing his blade):"What did you trade? Tell me!"
Shah (with glowing eyes, whispering with venom):"You."
An explosion ripped the room apart, hurling Mikael against the wall. His vision blurred.
When his eyes opened—his blood froze.
Shah hovered mid-air. Wings sprouted from his back, his face twisted into something demonic. A devil born of man.
Mikael, battered and bloodied, stared in terror at the creature he once called Commander.
And he thought only one thing—how the hell could he defeat this.
