Chapter 2 - A New Life

Accepted? Where or what is accepting me. Jesse could only imagine as he stared at his wrist.

"Hello?" Jesse asked tapping at the skin on his arm. He could hear faint words being communicated directly to his brain.

Through this bracelet you will be transported away from your normal life and into a world full of magic, monsters, gods, and advanced weaponry. Your life will be at risk and you may not survive but we have been informed of your desire for change it's

strong if not stronger than the others at the academy you will be attending. Only the brightest human beings make it where you are going so gather your belongings and walk out into your new world or ignore this opportunity and remain here. You have 24 hours to decide.

Woah this bracelets talking straight into my brain this thing is otherworldly for sure. Jesse tried poking at his wrist and arm with nothing happening again but feeling his skin as if the bracelet was never there in the first place.

Jesse gave up on messing with the bracelet and as soon as he went to sit on his bed a screen had come out of his arm hovering in front of him.

Well if it's going to talk to me I'm going to give it a name. Jesse proudly thought.

"Maybe the academy should rethink accepting you if you're making dumb decisions such as this one." A mysterious voice said in my head.

I am an artificial intelligence created by the headmaster. Every student has one and we evolve and grow at the same pace as you. Use this system to your advantage. Think of your information personally and you will be able to access my interface to see what's available.

"I guess I could play along with all this for now." Jesse said and began to pack a backpack full of some essentials and a couple notepads and pens.

I thought about every part of my body to see if anything would happen. Jesse seemed to be looking at some sort of floating screen in front of him.

[Name: Jesse R]

[Gender: Male]

[Title: Intelligent Human]

[Age: 22]

[Health: 5/5]

[Strength: 10]

[Speed: 8]

[Mana: 10]

[Magic Points: 0]

Wonder what magic points are? Wow this is amazing. Gross I feel insulted though by these low numbers am I really that weak? At least I'm considered somewhat intelligent.

The answer you are looking for is yes. The Artificial intelligence inside the bracelet spoke.

"Get out my head!" Jesse yelled at his arm waving it around, looking quite silly if anyone else were in the room to witness such an act.

Damn bracelet making me feel so much better.

Jesse walked to open his bedroom door and head downstairs. When The door opened he saw a large building that stretched on forever.

How did I end up here. Jesse closed his door and opened it again. Still the same area, He walked through the door closing it behind him When he opened it again he could see straight through to an area of tall trees.

"Noway back I guess there goes bringing stuff with me." Suddenly the door behind me opened again and I could see someone else walking out from what looked like a personal gym behind him.

"New life here I come!!!" He screamed jumping for joy then suddenly stopping and looking at me. Walking up to me he lifted me off the ground. I could feel my legs kicking him trying to get free and he wouldn't budge. Is this how we greet people we just meet what a weirdo.

"Your strength must be super low haha hey I'm Alex nice to meet you!" Alex said dropping me back on my feet and patting me on the head.

Alex seemed to understand more of what was going on here than I did.

WELCOME STUDENTS your first lesson here will be to make it to the academy. If you don't wish to die turn around now and exit back through the white door to your normal lives! In 5 minutes if you reopen the door you'll see the area where you came from. A voiced boomed through everyone's mind. A white door appeared behind us. I guess if I try to open it now I can go home.

I could hear the wind rustling the trees and all the leaves blowing past and brushing my face. There were some strange black dots on the leaves but I didn't pay it any mind.

Jesse was unaware of the beginning trials and just how hard it would be to be finally accepted into a school he wasn't even sure was real to how he would like. As an army was heading his was the horror crept over the rest of the incoming students.

All I could see was millions of spiders beginning to crawl out of the trees, and thousands of crows circling overhead each in a different area stretching across the sky. That must be where each group of students are. Talk about no warning.

We tried to run but the trees slowly had vines outstretched and already tangled around out ankles and wrapped around our feet leaving us to stare at the hoard coming our way.
