Chapter 7 - Shocking Rivals

It didn't take too long for everyone to figure out what type of spells they wanted after a hour or so passed by the Adam was diligently reading through material in the professors office.

"Well I've decided what I'll be learning thank you for the opportunity headmaster" Adam said holding a book in the air and making his way out the office.

"Interesting boy choosing a book like that" headmaster zephyr said quietly looking back to the two students left in his office.

I went and finally reached for a solid gray book with blue letters. "Becoming one with the world. Intro to spirit magic and more" I was content on learning this one when I touched it my bracelet on my wrist lit up flashing 25 points. I could be able to learn many things instead of just one with this I thought excitingly.

"I'll be taking that from you. You're to weak to understand anything and only made it into this school by luck" Victoria said snatching the book out of my hands and pushing me up against the wall.

"Make sure you stay out of my way or you'll have hell to pay." Victoria held up her book waving it in the air as she walked out of the office.

I looked over at the headmaster expecting a response for the actions just displayed.

"You will experience life and death at this school since you chose to stay. Your way of living will be up to you. There's way more things than magic to be bought and used here but magic will be more convenient and sometimes stronger but not always the most practical to use. As long as you don't attempt to take another students life without submitting an official duel the teachers won't always be there to step in. It's best you learn that now Jesse." The headmaster then beckoned me to hurry up and choose seeing as I was the last one left.

She will regret her actions today I promise her that. I kept looking through a few more books that interested me.

"Is this book even a magic spell?" Jesse held the book he chose up into the air asking the headmaster.

The headmasters eyes widened and then he stared at Jesse for a few moments in deep thought. "That book is considered magic yes. Powerful but overlooked magic. It'll depend on the user." He spoke calmly still staring at me.

"I'll be taking this one then. Thank you so much for all of your help." I began walking away.

"Make sure to go to your home room. This door will open and lead you out to the rest of your class for the 1st years. You'll learn more of the world you're in as time goes on." The headmaster said waving his arms and all I could see was a feint purple light coming from behind the door to his office.

Jesse walked through and he could see all the students sitting in a semi circle room staring at him from their seats their eyes not moving an inch off him.

"Better late than never, now that all of the new students are here we shall begin homeroom. It will be short for today just to explain some things you should know. Please take your seats or I'll assign one for you." The professor said to everyone before glaring at me to hurry up and sit down.

All the seats were taken so I sat right up front. I could feel a cold gaze staring through my soul. I turned my head to see Victoria with a smirk on her face waving the book she grabbed out my hands fanning herself.

*ZAP!*

I could feel small jolts of electricity circulating throughout my body tensing up my muscles and causing me to fall on top of my desk. From the looks of it so did everyone else in the room.

"My names Amy Spark but you brats can call me professor Spark. This class is not your playground you will learn quickly not to treat it as such or everyone will pay the price" she said smiling at me and Victoria. I could feel the rest of the animosity from the rest of our classmates towards us.

Professor Spark smiled. "I'll keep this quick. Class is in session!"
