Kaijira, the Kaiju who saved the evacuation convoy and destroyed a hoard of "
Devils of the Fallen" had arrived at the evacuation camp.
In a completely new and smaller quadrupedal dinosaur-like form, and was now currently walking beside Atsuo and approached the camp.

Querxes: ATSUO ARE YOU CRAZY?!
Agent 1: Atsuo-sama that's way too reckless!
Agent 2: Is it messing with your mind?!
The Council was completely on guard as they didn't fully trust Kaijira.
Aiya: Dear? Is this really safe...
Even Aiya couldn't believe Atsuo would allow the Kaiju to get closer to the camp.
Atsuo: Don't worry... This guy seems to be friendly.
Kirin: How can you say that?
Atsuo: Well... Just a feeling.
Everyone in the front line looked at Atsuo with utter shock upon hearing his reason.

Kotori: As dumb as that reason may be, I think it is wise that we allow Kaijira-kun to stay in our camp for the time being.
But surprisingly Kotori was fine with Kaijira being in their camp.
Agent 3: Kotori-sama?!
Kotori: We'll need all the power we need to get through these dark times, and this Kaijira-kun seems to possess such power. We need to study him if we want a chance of survival.
Querxes: But—
Kotori: Look Querxes-san... I understand you're upset that Kaneki-chan waskileld , we all are. But right now, we have to focus on protecting everyone who survived.
Kaijira: Groan~
Kotori: ... And this Kaiju, Kaijira-kun already proved to me that he is a valuable ally.
Atsuo: Yeah there's already videos circulating around showing him protecting civilians from those monsters.
Kotori: And besides if he really did want to kill us, wouldn't he had wiped us all out by now?
Querxes: ... Fine, but keep a close eye on that thing.
Querxes couldn't agrue with them, but was still very suspicious.
Kotori: Alright! Everyone clean this place up and return to your stations!
With Kotori's orders the Council staff cleared the area and moved their weapons.
Aiya: Is this really a good idea? I know that this... Kaiju saved us yesterday but...
Aiya approachee her husband and daughter completely worried.
Atsuo: It's alright... Besides I have a feeling this one was made by Kaneki.
Aiya: How can you be sure?
Kotori: Well it's the only explanation, although it's quite a strange one since Kaneki-chan can't create living creatures as it is one of his limitations. Either way we'll have to study Kaijira-kun over here.
The three looked at Kaijira with him just looking back at them.
Kotori: Papa, I'll go calm everyone down and start preparations for breakfast now.
Atsuo: Got it.
Aiya: What about us?
Kotori: You two can watch over Kaijira-kun, although because of his size I think it would smart to bring him to an open space.
Atsuo: Got it. I already have a place in mind, but you said something about studying him right? How do you plan on doing that?
Kotori: That's... I'll figure something out, I don't want to enrage him after all.
Kaijira: Groan~
Kotori: Well I'll see you two later then, make sure to have breakfast too okay?
Atsuo & Aiya: We will.

1 Hour and 20 Minutes later~
After Kotori had calmed and reassured everyone that Kaijira was not an enemy, breakfast has begun and food was being distributed at the middle of the camp.
However despite receiving reassurance, the evacuees were still very anxious of Kaijira.
???: Hey is it really safe for that thing to be with us?
???: I don't know, some are saying it might a new Beast Knight and some are saying it's one of those monsters trying to deceive us.
???: Geez... It's just standing there.
Kaijira was laying down on the other side of the nearby river and because the middle of the camp was visible from that spot.
He was just staring at everyone and hadn't moved ever since Atsuo had brought him there.
Miku: I can't believe Dad actually brought him here.
But compared to everyone else who were anxious with Kaijira's presence, the Higanbana girls were mostly shocked and curious.
Miku being the most shocked out of the six of them.
Yuuka: Yeah. Uncle is brave isn't he?
Sachi: He is Kaneki's dad after all, although why is it just staring at everyone?
Chikao: Hey Natsuki could you look at his colors?
Shino: Yeah maybe we'd be able to tell what's going on in it's mind.
Natsuki: Yeah sure.
Following her friend's suggestion, Natsuki locked her gaze towards Kaijira, activated her ability and began looking into Kaijira's soul and carefully studied his colors to try and understand him even just a little.
Natsuki: What?
Miku: What colors do you see Natsuki?
Natsuki: The colors of guilt and worry.
All 5: Eh?
The Higanbana girls grew even more curious about Kaijira now that they know he was feeling guilty and worried.
Chikao: Are you sure? That would mean it's smart right?
Yuuka: Yeah. Having emotions is a sign of intelligence, and if what you say is true then. That Kaiju, Kaijira can probably understand emotions and... Might even be sentient.
Natsuki: Hm... Yeah that does makes sense, but why would Kaijira come here?
Shino: Yeah, why?
The Higanbana girls once again looked at Kaijira, curious to why he had came to their camp.

All 6: Eh?

Suddenly Kaijira stood up on all fours and began walking to the middle of the camp.
Sachi: Uhhhh guys? Should we get out of here?
Thump!
Kaijira was getting closer to them and they didn't know what to do.
Yuuka: I can't believe I'm doing this... Everyone no sudden movements.
With no other options the Higanbana girls followed Yuuka's lead and stood completely still.
Thump!
All 6: !!!
Kaijira had reached them and stood there stared at them.
All 6: Eh?
But to their surprise, Kaijira had an expression similar to one being confused.
He had his mouth slightly open and his eyes having an confused looked to it.
Kaijira: ...
Thump!
After looking at them for a bit, Kaijira continued to move towards the middle of the camp.
And needless to say.
???: H-Hey! It's coming towards us!
Kaijira walking towards everyone else caused huge panic amongst the crowd.
Kotori: EVERYONE! STAY STILL!
Kotori tried to calm everyone down.
???: RUUUUN!
But the fear was too much and everyone began scattering, dropping their fold as they ran.
Glow~
Everyone: Huh?
But to everyone's surprise, the food that they had dropped hadn't touched the ground and began levitating and covered by a faint blue light.
Kaijira: Groan~
Glow~
And when everyone looked at Kaijira, his eyes were glowing the same faint blue light as well.
Swoosh~
And soon the levitating food all went back to each person who had dropped them.
???: D-Did that thing just...
???: W-What's going on?
Thump!
Everyone looked confused at the food in their hands as Kaijira continued to move forward.
Kaijira: Groan~
Though everyone was still afraid of him, those in front of his path began moving aside to let him roam freely.

Occasionally Kaijira would stop and swing his head from side to side and start walking again.
Natsuki: What do you guys think is going on?
Yuuka: It seems like he's trying to find something?
The Higanbana girls carefully followed Kaijira from behind, however they themselves don't know why.
Chikao: Hey why are we following him?
Shino: I don't know, Natsuki was the one to tail him first.
Natsuki: I just want to know what he's up to.
Miku: Well at least we know he isn't out to harm anyone.
Sachi: Let's just keep our distance okay?
All 5: Yeah.
The Higanbana girls all followed Kaijira from a safe distance watching his movements carefully.
Until he got to the other side of the camp and stopped by a tree.
All 6: What is he... Wait isn't that?
Shockingly they found a very familiar face that they hadn't seen in quite a while.
Millie: Sob~ This can't be real... I just got my family back not too long ago... Sob~
All 6: Millie?!
It was Millie, the girl who was forced bullied Miku a month ago, the same girl who Kaneki had helped make her family complete.
She was crying under said tree and from the looks of it.
Miku: No way... Did she lose her family?
Seeing her crying alone under the tree, the Higanbana girls immediately knew what she had gone through.
All 6: ...
She had lost her family and was completely alone.
Natsuki: She must've been crying there all night...
From what they see, Millie was drenched in her tears and her eyes were red from all the crying.
Kaijira: Groan~
Millie: Huh?
Because of all her crying she hadn't noticed Kaijira who was in front of her, but she didn't showed any fear.
Millie: Hey... Please kill me.
Instead she was begging him to kill her.
All 6: !!!
The Higanbana girls were all shocked upon hearing that Millie had completely given up on life.
Millie: Please... I've lost everything... I can't go on anymore... Sob~
Seeing her completely giving up on her life, the Higanbana girls felt so sad for her.
Glow~
All 6: What?
Suddenly Kaijira's horns started to glow a pink light.
Millie: W-What are you doing?
Lower~
Kaijira lowered his head and offered Millie his horns.
Millie: Sniffle~ What? Do you want me to touch this?
Confused Millie asked but wit her question unanswered.
Millie: ...
Poke!
She hesitantly touched the glowing horn in front of her.
All 6: ...
The Higanbana girls watched carefully trying to see what happens next.
Drip~!
Millie: WAAAAAAAAH!!!! I'm sorry! I won't die!
She cried and even shouted that she wouldn't die.
Millie: Ruri-san... Daddy... I won't die, for your sake...
All 6: !!!
The Higanbana girls were all surprised with what had happened.
Swoosh~
Sachi: Hey isn't that?
A sandwich came levitating over their heads and towards Millie and Kaijira.
Millie: Huh?
After the sandwich arrived, Millie wiped off her tears away and looked at Kaijira.
Kaijira: Groan~
Millie: Is this for me?
Kaijira: Groan~
Millie: ... Thanks...
After accepting the sandwich, Millie took a bite from it.
Millie: Mm... It taste like Ruri-san's sandwiches...
Kaijira: Groan~
Thump!
And so with Millie calmed down and now eating, Kaijira turned around and began walking back to where he was before.
