Chapter 142 - RDD 141

RDD 141

Sean sighed and left the living room to go to the bathroom. He felt like he made a mistake when he said that he would introduce Mari Mar to the family.

He was not sure about his future. On the other side, he was interested in having a family and having children. Yet he was not sure if he won't regret that decision.

Once he married, he would lose his freedom. Something that he didn't want to happen.

In fact, he wanted to maintain his single life and meet more women.

With depression, he saw her grandmother watering the plants in the garden.

"Oh, Sean. How's the meeting? Is it over?"

"The meeting is still going on, grandma. I just want to go to the bathroom."

He said and greeted his grandmother, Matilda Castillo, by putting his forehead against the back of her hand. A gesture of respect to the elders.

"You can leave now. I know your grandpa doesn't like it when you've gone for too long."

"Yes, grandma."

Sean continued his way to the bathroom.

"I only slept for three hours last night..."

He yawned and said to himself. He was quite sleepy. He had fun with Mari Mar, sacrificing his rest. Because of that, he felt like the world was wobbling in his vision.

Furthermore, he had to wake up early to attend this quarter meeting of the Castillo.

'This meeting is only a front. Grandpa just wants to see us once in a while.'

The fact that Old Bradley didn't bother listening to their report speaks about his purpose. He just missed his sons and grandsons.

'Well, I didn't regret having 'fun' last night. Mari is so sexy.'

He grinned like a pervert. Recalling how flexible his girlfriend is.

When he exited the bathroom, he realized that his cousin, Thomas Castillo. Thomas was only two years older than him.

The two smiled at each other. However, the way they smiled didn't look friendly at all.

"I won," Thomas smirked at him.

"Did you just go here to say that? Because that's pathetic as fuck."

"Of course not. I'm not some immature guy like you. The meeting is over and I decided to talk to grandma. She invited us to drink tea with her. So I went here to get you."

"Seems reasonable."

Thomas and Sean were competitive with each other. They were both adults but they wanted to show their superiority against each other. In the end, this quarterly meeting was their way to compete.

"Look, my profit this past four months is PHP 8 million, minus taxes. I think that amount is enough to shut your arrogant mouth."

"Thomas, my old cousin who is as immature as I am, I have to remind you that I close a deal with 7-Eleven. My company is responsible for building 20 branches of 7-Eleven in Imus Cavite and the investment is PHP 170 million. With our construction company earning around 15 to 25 percent of that investment."

"The project can last at least 2 years, I believe it's not efficient. The time you invest in that project is not enough for the profit you will get."

"Grandpa didn't praise."

"Grandpa didn't praise you either."

Clearly, the two were both immature. They were like kids hungry for attention. The only difference between the two was that Thomas was married and had two sons while Sean was single.

In that aspect, on the basis of their family, Thomas Castillo defeated Sean.

"Tch."

The two clicked their tongues at the same time. Their rivalry started so long ago, back when they were still young.

"Heh, you don't have to worry about getting married Sean. My wife is pregnant and we are expecting a daughter."

"Congratulations. How did you know that the baby is a girl? Because of ultrasound? Then why didn't you say it to Grandpa?"

Sean asked while massaging his forehead. He really needs a sleep. He was sincere when he congratulated his cousin. Everyone in the family treats babies as blessings.

'Grandpa and Grandma have another kid to pamper.'

"My wife is three weeks pregnant and we still can't identify the gender of the baby. However, I strongly believe that my family will break the curse. At last, the first daughter in the Castillo will be born."

Hearing that statement, Sean couldn't help but laugh.

"In that sense, you already lost--"

"What do you mean by that?"

Right before he could even finish his sentence, Sean was stunned when he realized that his father and grandfather were standing in front of him!

Ernesto and Bradley clearly heard what he said!

When he looked around, he saw his brother shaking his head in disappointment.

They already reached the garden and most of the family members were there.

Grandma Matilda, Grandpa Bradley, Uncle Henry, his father Ernesto, his brother Jeremy, and his younger cousin Maverick!

Based on their reaction, they clearly heard what he said!

'I messed up! I'm too sleepy and tired to concentrate.'

Sean looked at his elder brother, calling for help.

Jeremy sighed and stepped in.

"Grandpa, Dad, I believe Sean is just tired. He didn't know what he was saying."

"..."

Old Bradley looked at Sean and Jeremy and nodded.

"Sean, you can take a rest if you want to. This place has so many vacant rooms to use."

"T- Thanks, Grandpa!"

Sean decided to flee the scene, acting like he was tired, which he really was. He sighed in relief when he realized that no one treated it seriously.

Unfortunately, for him, his grandfather was fast at catching up on secrets.

'Sean and Jeremy are acting strange... Could it be that Jeremy's wife is pregnant and they believe that it will be a girl? Or perhaps it's Sean's girlfriend? If his girlfriend is really pregnant, then he has to take responsibility for his actions. Perhaps that's the reason why he wanted to introduce his girlfriend. Sean, you bastard, you impregnate your girlfriend before marriage, make sure you do the right thing... If all of the things I deduced are wrong, then the problems didn't lay from Sean and Jeremy... Could it be Keith? The grandson I never saw for many years? I wonder what he is doing right now?'

In that small frame of time, Bradley Castillo already created many possible scenarios in his head. Leading to the answers he was looking for.
